@sphangman Thanks. No wax on the main part of the helmet, was going for a more metallic/millitary look. The faceplate was waxed however, this was done because the aluminum paint is a real bugger when it come to finger prints and the wax seems to help out. The paints I used were Krylon Aluminum paint for the faceplate and Rustoleum midnight black hammered finish for the helmet. Black acrylic paint was used in the recessed areas to bring out the details.
that's a great finish . What paints did you use ? Did you use wax again like the ironman helmet ?

@JBantha Glad I could help, this method is much easier and safier then using an xacto or razor blade to try and remove the glue.
