I just got these headphones (DJ1 Pro) but they didn't come with the L/R volume control wire. I gotto say the bass is pretty good. The sound they make is somewhat surround, in a sense that if you have a stereo speaker system in front of you, that's what it sounds like. It doesn't sound caved in, it sounds like you're listening to a speaker. Good reproduction of all the frequency levels, highs arent that sweet. I liked the DT770's highs and also the clarity of HD650. DJ1 Pro is not a keeper.
The more I use it, it seems it has good response but highs arent as good (6/10) but it is quite enjoyable for some rap songs due to good bass response. Not the best, but it is alright. It is "Made in Taiwan" no jokes, some parts are cheap plastic. The cable is shit, as in it is designed poorly, and the connectors on the headphones themselves. They get loose very easilly and so it loses connection or all of SQ. The paddings are like paper. Better than dt770pro80 so ill keep. =)
The review was out of focus for most of the video... The headphones are THE audiophile's choice for bass cans. Also fun fact the Dj1's are just the HFI 580's with a different sink same drivers and everything underneath. (but Dj1 's are cheaper then the HFI580)
Also NO Ultrasone headphones are open design they are all closed. The difference in price and detachable cord are the only differences between the pro and regular versions of all the Ultrasone phones. Food for thought.
@BinaryReaper Actually Ultrasone does have 2 open-designed headphones: PRO-2900 and HFI-2400. The PRO headphones are definitely different sounding than the HFI series. The DJ1 PRO for example has a wider/better S-Logic effect than the DJ1 model and has more tame/balanced bass. I'm also sure that the PRO 900 model sounds the most balanced of all of the non-Edition Ultrasone headphones. <- consult Head-Fi.org
Well I was talking Australian Dollars so it's lik $110-130 for those over here and I meant hundred dollar to be plural not singular. There are many xbox headphones in the $100-150 price range. I only meant to say why on earth would companies make headphones for xbox which they sell for hundreds of dollars. It limits the market by heaps and few people who play xbox know much about headphones and due to their life of listening to shitty apple ipod headphones they think the xbox ones are amazing
wow i still need to wait for there reply they say they were gonna send me one but they have not confirmed should i send them another message i sent it on may15 with my address and now it's the 30th so around 15 days i really want ultrasone if they don't give samples i might actually buy one! they are a must have for me!
It would be nice if they sent you stuff, but I do HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you purchasing these and supporting them. If you email them and say you were reffered from iCaseReviews maybe they could give you like a discount or something ? :):
after you sent a email with your address did they confirm it by replying back or anything? because even if i buy it i can't really support them they only sell in the usa but i live in canada

How do these compare to hfi-580?
cleanmusic213 11 months ago
@cleanmusic213 they are suppose to be exactly the same as the hif-580 apart from the cable.

Don't bother picking these up if you're not mixing / producing music, they are really for professional usage.
