  • you are still missed RIP

  • What a lovely man. Really makes you smile!

  • the stutter, good ol' Weatherby from Navy Lark

  • His voices are hysterical!

  • Saw The Pert at a Dr Who convention about a year before he died. An absolute star.

  • what a dude

  • How can this not bring a smile to one's face? :))

  • great gig jon, we miss you babes; X

  • Dashing!

  • great voices by John!!

  • i just have to say he looks younger than 70,, he looks more like 45-50 years old not 70

  • Brilliant funny man

  • A great, great charcter, warm, unassuming, funny and incredibly talented. To this day he is still the finest Dr Who and that is saying something. Jon Pertwee RIP, you will never be forgotten.

  • why was this done in 1989 i only know he returned 3 times as the doctor

    5 doctors

    dimensions in time

    the other doctor

  • @ryananderson280195 it was for the comic relief special

  • @ryananderson280195

He played the Doctor in a stage play called The Ultimate Adventure in 1989 and then half way through that plays run Colin Baker took over.

  • That's when Dr Whos were real Dr Whos

  • Fastinating. Imagine if Worzel Gummidge was a series done by BBC or Thames Television. If you think about I don't think either of those companies would have suited this particular show. Maybe Southern Television does feel right.

  • Top bloke.

  • Have you got Terry`s interview with James Stewart when he read `Beau` poem?

  • Love him so much! And I'm gutted that I was only 4 when he died; so I never had a chance to meet him. I try not to play favourites with the Doctor, but if I had to pick a favourite classic Doctor, it would easily be him. :)

  • im so sad he's dead, he seems like he was such a funny and charming person

  • Mathematically Speaking, although Tom had a Record High Figure for City of Death (Mostly due to ITV being down in many parts of the UK), Jon's Era was the most Successful. He had a stable audience of around 10.1 Million & is concidered to be Dr Who's Peek. It Certainly got the most Money for budget. And it's easy to see why it was so popular with Jon as the Doctor. I Met him several times & always had the time to answer your questions.

A True Gentleman & a Natural Hero. RIP Jon Pertwee

  • Met him the year before he died when he open Princes mead in farnborough as Worzel Gummidgewith my wife and daughter. What a lovely man.

  • Jon Pertwee was the doctor to my generation, never forgotten!

  • i loved jon my fav dr

  • WIsh I could meet him. Would go up and give him a big hug and thank him for all the lovely times he gave me in my childhood as doctor who and spotty from superted.

  • reminds me of Michael Flanders.

  • Jon Pertwee was a genius. THE best Doctor. god bless his soul.

  • John seemed a genuinely nice personm which is a bit of a rarity.

His son Sean co starred in Cadfael

  • Wow I didnt realise he was a voice character in SuperTed! (just checked his info for that) Amazing :)

  • @timfoxxy yea superted was cool...just like bow ties!

  • 0:29 lol pure legend

  • a very down-to-earth person and a talented actor!-possibaly NOT the 'best' doctor who(i think its tom baker)but a human being whome entertainment and we all miss dearly(rip)

  • @kenpoman100 Jon was THE Doctor

  • @kenpoman100 Blasphemy!!! the best of the old doctors.

  • @nintendonut100;wot you on about dude?-BLASPHEMY!!-it's a well known FACT that Tom Baker is considered the BEST doctor off all time-.

  • @kenpoman100 I was joking personally I prefer Pertwee and didn't like Baker that much.

  • @kenpoman100 not true... in a poll now its David Tennant, but however out of the old docs my fav is Pat troughton and Peter Davison surely its personal choice????

  • The last 20 seconds of this clip are so sweet and quite moving.

  • brilliant

  • a lovely man,and the best doctor who ever.i had the pleasure of meeting him at a book signing in the 70s while he was still the doctor.and i went to see him in this very stage show at wimbledon in 1989 that he mentions on the wogan show.jon pertwee was a wonderfully talented man.

  • Thanks for posting...Loved Worzel ...and JP was an absolute gentleman

  • his 'voice' sounds like Popeye!

  • He was so funny! This always cheers me up.

  • Terry got some hairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • A very funny man who played probably the straightest Dr Who. For me he was the greatest Doctor.

  • 70?? jeezz...he looked great!

    what a legend :D

  • He did indeed. He'd be 90 this Year if he were still around, butv he'd very possibly still be acting, after all Christopher Lee is now in his Mid-80's but he hasn't stopped. Goes to show that so long as you look after yourself, you can age well and keep going doing what you love to do.

  • deffinatly! thats what i say too :)

im happy to say i met jon pertwee in a sci fi shop once.....sadly i was only 1 years old at the time! haha. mum and dad say he put on his wersal gummage voice and started talking to me! :D
