As far as accents, I love her accent when she sings, and she has less of a speaking accent than Anette does.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you talking about Anette doing playback in the Amaranth for instance, or Tarja doing playback in the Nemo video? I wasn't talking about official videos, I was talking about live performances.
Anette's voice is all over the place in live concerts, whereas Tarja's voice was (IS) rock solid, and it doesn't take a musical genius to realize that.
As far as what you claim, "Tarja rushes her words when she sings", she's not "rushing them", it sounds that way to you because the tempo of the song is fast and she needs to sing the words quickly, as in Wishmaster. That's another reason why the old songs suck when Anette sings them, they have to slow them down for her because she can't sing that fast, and the song doesn't have the same effect performed slower than it's supposed to be.

She doesn't have to transform into a "BIG" icon on the stage.. 3:06 proves that. :) And being a big icon on the stage usually doesn't mean that he or she is a great singer. Tuomas is the one who wanted Tarja to put on a dramatic appearance onstage, and it's one of the things that made them so epic live. Now Tarja is a lot more laid back and interacts with the audience, which is ok for nightclubs, but isn't epic like the old NW used to be.

I love Tarja too, but the woman overloads her voice and puts too much pressure on herself to hit notes, satisfy everyone, and give a great concert. Therefore, she cracks. Tarja is just a singer and Emppu is just a guitar player. Tuomas is composer. Mind of the band. And the only one that composes all of the songs of nightwish. Emppu isn't the best guitar player, and tarja can't be the best female classical singer :) But Tuomas is someone special that has great creativity to create good music.

Anette, doesn't really have to work as hard, there's nothing she can really do about it if it goes out, so naturally her voice will be off every once in a while. Metal singers, any singer really, will always have that chance. Tarja's chance is just smaller because there's more to do for a classical voice than a regular vocalist. Classical vocalists have a better chance of preventing it.
If you think a concert is supposed to be a joke fest or a question and answer session, you have NEVER been to a concert.
A "performer" who has to rely on gimmicks such as joke telling during a concert is NOT a performer with talent, but one who CAN'T entertain the crowd with their talent or skills, and needs a crutch to make up for their shortcomings.
Nightclub acts often rely on such gimmicks since they are usually not super talented to begin with, and are playing in front of a bunch of people who went there to get drunk and don't really care WHAT they listen to, they just want to be "entertained" as you say.

Anette's voice often breaks when she tries to sing Nemo. Tarja's voice has NEVER broke, ever. As far as Tarja getting sick, that happened ONCE. Anette cancelled a whole month's worth of concerts due to a "serious illness", BUT was well enough to record a video with Pain during the same timeframe.
As far as accents, I love her accent when she sings, and she has less of a speaking accent than Anette does.

As far as what you claim, "Tarja rushes her words when she sings", she's not "rushing them", it sounds that way to you because the tempo of the song is fast and she needs to sing the words quickly, as in Wishmaster. That's another reason why the old songs suck when Anette sings them, they have to slow them down for her because she can't sing that fast, and the song doesn't have the same effect performed slower than it's supposed to be.

Tarja is just a singer and Emppu is just a guitar player. Tuomas is composer. Mind of the band. And the only one that composes all of the songs of nightwish. Emppu isn't the best guitar player, and tarja can't be the best female classical singer :) But Tuomas is someone special that has great creativity to create good music.
But i am impressed about tarja. She is a great icon that could be a God for you.. (She is always perfect...)

@IDislikeCowards At the same time, Tarja has to do more to keep her's in shape because she's classical. Anette, doesn't really have to work as hard, there's nothing she can really do about it if it goes out, so naturally her voice will be off every once in a while. Metal singers, any singer really, will always have that chance. Tarja's chance is just smaller because there's more to do for a classical voice than a regular vocalist. Classical vocalists have a better chance of preventing it.

If you think a concert is supposed to be a joke fest or a question and answer session, you have NEVER been to a concert.
A "performer" who has to rely on gimmicks such as joke telling during a concert is NOT a performer with talent, but one who CAN'T entertain the crowd with their talent or skills, and needs a crutch to make up for their shortcomings.

Nightclub acts often rely on such gimmicks since they are usually not super talented to begin with, and are playing in front of a bunch of people who went there to get drunk and don't really care WHAT they listen to, they just want to be "entertained" as you say.

As long as the band continues to tarnish her reputation, then it's fair to comment on them and their current situation. Tarja took down HER open letter and her husband's response YEARS ago, while NW still has THEIR letter up on their website.
As far as Anette's abilities (or lack of them), too bad if the truth hurts or if it makes you sob like a little girl when someone points out how ridiculous some of the comments here are.

Oh and BTW, NW USED to be one of the best bands around, now they are like Sabbath without Ozzy or Queen without Freddie, only worse.
One more thing. Sharon does NOT scream or shout, she actually sings and has a pretty nice voice.

@IDislikeCowards Anette does not shout :P In fact, Marco does that :P Tarja is amazing, and so is Anette and if you heard her before NW you would have probably liked her but seriously why do you bother? NW has been with Anette for 3 years and Tarja's 2nd solo album is due soon so why are you still so annoyed about this? It's Tuomas thats the mastermind and the singer will never change his writing talents.

a lot of people sai that nightwish is simple, come on thast not truth at all,ok i think that the guitars are not very hard but the orchestal stuffs and the keyboards are amazing, its because nightwish is SYMPHONIC metal, very different to bands of death or black metal metal that of course the guitarrs are harder

Um. Nah. I'm fairly certain guitar in songs like "Wishmaster" "Crownless" "Wanderlust" etc. is pretty complex. They used to be VERY power metal. Recently they seem to have gone a lot simpler in everything but orchestrations.

Cannot express how much I love this band.
Cannot say how much each member of the band is amazing.
In a lot of bands, when you see the bass guitarist you think "What are they even doing in the band?" but with Nightwish, there is not one member who I can think that about. Each member is an asset to Nightwish. =D Love it.

I remember there were about 80.000 of people. And I was that excited to see Nightwish live. In fact I had to struggle about 5 hours
to get to the front row.
That was quite hard because
Killswitch Engage was the band before Nightwish and there were a lot of
agressive people.
I've got Boots in my face
and my nose were bleeding.
But I made it and it was just AWESOME!!!
