@TheWizomaniac I was meaning for the other personnel who were trying to help the injured skater. I know that they normally can't be on the ice (and it would look rather dumb), but for emergency situations, a thin mat or something could be helpful.

when I did dance pairs i was dropped in competition one time and it knocked me out cold. and i also had to be carried off on a backboard. my partner caught a rut in the ice.
@Masch3rano marinin needed therapy afterwards in order to be able to trust himself again to do that same lift with the same music in the same costumes...there is a great russian documentary about them where tatiana is telling the story how they all worked together to help maxim to be able to skate again .its not easy to be responsible for someone else's life on every day basis.he is not a machine , just a human.

I watch pair skating now and then, and seen some brutal drops but this is probably the most brutal ones I've seen.

when I did dance pairs i was dropped in competition one time and it knocked me out cold. and i also had to be carried off on a backboard. my partner caught a rut in the ice.

@Masch3rano marinin needed therapy afterwards in order to be able to trust himself again to do that same lift with the same music in the same costumes...there is a great russian documentary about them where tatiana is telling the story how they all worked together to help maxim to be able to skate again .its not easy to be responsible for someone else's life on every day basis.he is not a machine , just a human.
