Well in my opinion Sherie as Ursula is the best in whole show, she is amazing when i first look at her makeup and hear how she sings man I am in love with how she play this role.

I think the girl who plays Ursula is an amazing singer...

but not right for Ursula.

She is not a chesty belty evil kinda voice, and she trys to be, and her acting is awful.

I think she is almost the worst in the show.

I have the soundtrack and her acting is just... brutal. She sounds like she would make a better opratic or higher range "happier brighter" toned character. Not the rough and alto-y sound of Ursula.

TWO THINGS:

1) Eric's butler is Jonathan Freeman (aka the voice of Jafar in Aladdin)

2) Ursula is based on "Divine" the Drag Queen in the John Waters films. She should have been played by a FAT actress. But Sherie Rene Scott did do an amazing job.

This was a wonderful show. When I went to it this summer when they doing the prebroadway enegament in denver I was in awe with it. I cannot wait to get the CD when it comes out. It is really well done.

The Theatrical Stagehands Union and Local One are on Strike b/c there's gonna be a 35% cut in their pay when they don't get enough money as it is! Stage managers, crew members, etc do so much to keep a show going yet they need to put food on the table and keep their families alive!

Most of the shows on Broadway are HUGE successes, and the crew people deserve bigger cuts! I, having been in Stage Crew at my school, know for a fact that, without us, our actors couldn't do their shows every year!
