  • I haven othing against Christians training in Martial Arts but take it and call the source evil is hypocritical

  • Funny Christian Martial Arts and yet Martial Arts are based on Hindu, Buddhist, Taoism and other Eastern Beliefs but there evil according to Christianity and yet you get these schools teaching Christian Yoga or Christian Kung Fu, call the source evil and steal the essence and teachings and make it there own

  • not bad

  • I understand where you coming from. If you are giving credit to God for the talents he have giving you than it is nothing wrong with that.

  • Christian martial artists are as weak as thier beliefs. I can tell by all of the injuries I've inflicted on them, lol.

  • "there's thunder in his foot steps there's lightning in his fist".....k, you're either talking about thor, zeus raijin, or chuck norris. which is it?

  • @allshallbelosttoyou Umm I go with Thor

  • @KSchmetzer ....Hey, sweet video, I just recently got my blackbelt in Keichu Do, which is a Christian based martial art also. and for those people who find the sound of that ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ strange, i'll try to explain it a little more. We give God all of the glory for what we can do, the skills He's given us, and we focus on that and use it as a way to worship him, the martial art is not done differently but the focus is not on our greatness, but how God has used martial arts to use us.

  • I am a Christian and I think the term "Christian martial arts" is stupid. I also think XMA and fake martial arts are stupid too...this is useless stuff and in no way could win a fight. Even the sparring videos are crap. Give God mroe respect and promtoe REAL self defense and true martial arts. Stop using Christ to get fans from youth groups.

  • Nice demonstrations of gymnastics but none of what is shown on the video represent real martial arts at all. It is great jumping and leaping though and these kids are athletic.

  • The so called "Christian M.A." are a perfect example of human arrogance.

They dare to use the name of their god in order to promote a product. In this case a M.A.

As for the realism of their techniques ...

  • @Nuthor We aren't using God's name to promote any product. The term "Christian Martial Arts" is simply Christians giving credit and thanks to God for the blessings and talents he has given us.

No, not all techniques are practical. It's Sport/"Extreme" Martial Arts. Its the performance side of Martial Arts. We have all been trained in self defense and practical Martial Arts fighting before being allowed to learn the performance side of the art.

  • @KSchmetzer @KSchmetzer Sorry man. This is exactly what you do.

Many people who call themselves christians, think that the practice of eastern M.A. drives a person to buddhism, so they don't even start training. Using words such as: "Chistian, god, joshua, gives the illusion that these arts have god's approval.

If you could control a nuclear weapon would you call it Christian H-bomb?

  • @Nuthor Don't forget that the military fights for god and country . Also: God is on our side ! He will help us kill the enemy because the enemy is evil ! Linking combat sports with Christianity does not legitimize them.....Let's just keep religion and our sports at arms length. We can still teach morality and proper conduct without getting mushy.

  • @Ronin6575 Well the whole matter would be very funny, if it wasn't so sad.

    As for morality..

I think that it is very difficult to teach morality in traditional ways in a dojo. (I know only one style that is technically based on avoidance challenge, resistance and injury and still remains effective).

On the other hand , young students of a master in any art or skill (not M.A. necessarilly) tend to follow his way of living. If he is a decent person, he might have a positive influence on them.

  • @Nuthor This is true...if we lead by example, some will follow us while others ( no matter what we teach them ) will take the wrong path.

  • As for realism I have to say that in case of a real threat, human brain will act exactly as it is trained to. If you're trained to show off your abillities, your mind will be divided among a number of effective and ineffective techniques. This will cause a few moments delay in your reaction.

The difference between life and death sometimes might be desided in these moments.

That is why true martial arts involve a few number of techniques.

  • @Nuthor a lot of the techniques we use are practical. as far the the flips and advanced jump kicks, those may not be practical. but when practicing the sport martial arts forms, its almost like a different sport. you could even say it is. though there are benefits from training in these forms. stamina, awareness, strength, balance, speed, etc. when practicing self defense techniques, none of these "showy" techniques are used in self defense.

  • @KSchmetzer Your talent comes from practice, pal. God doesn't randomly give people talent, talent comes from a person's hard work and dedication, that's what makes talent impressive. Don't short-change yourself.

  • @KSchmetzer amen

  • @KSchmetzer Im sorry God gave you those abilities? So you didnt have to spend time in your Dojo, Kwoon or Kung Fu school doing push ups etc and years of pratice if so how did god give you those abilites if your the ones learning them and doing them

  • How ironic; useless Christians, using a useless system of Martial arts. I have dropped more Taekwondo fighters than I care to even remember (Actually, it's 16, including a few Korean Marines in Busan). It's a cheap, superficial system. Taekwondo fighters refuse to believe that their weak leg muscles and high center of gravity are what's fucking them.

  • @Muraku666 I have trained in 6+ styles of Martial Arts. Everyone else in this video has trained in various styles as well. None of us would call ourselves Tae Kwon Do fighters nor do we fight that way. I'd be happy to spar with you someday. By the way, thanks for liking our video.

  • @KSchmetzer I don't care what these ungodly people say... I think you guys are great. btw I'm a second degree and hope someday I will be able to flip and stuff like you guys!

  • is .. going to be taught then they need to have a talk with the instructor befor the instuctor begins to teach . philosophy can be confusing to children .

  • But secluar martial arts has help me to focus in my day to day activities . my personal opinion is this the Bible tells us to be in the world but not of the world . christians need to read there Bible and go to church . we as Christians need to be able to clearley understand what is christian and what is not . teenagers and adults can know . but young and impressionable kids mite have truble understanding . so if parents are going to put there kids in a Martial arts school were philosophy is .

  • Almost all Korean ,Japanese and Chinses Martial Arts teach some kind of philosophy . philosophy can be heavily influences by religion . some secular schools do a better job of this than others . somes schools do not teach or have a philosophy . Being that I am a christian when i was tranining in the christian origination it was fun and i really liked it . and it help me grow as a christian . secular martial arts tranining has not helped me to grow as a christian .

  • ok I gave my life to Christ when i was 12 i am now 21 about to be 22 . I have been doing martial arts sense I was 7 . I have trained in both christian and secular martial arts originations. I will say that in my 14 years of martial arts tranining i have realiszed this. There are some that say that they are secular and that they do not teach any kind of religion but they actually do. they don't necessarily mean to . sometimes they do this by philosophy . almost all korean , japanese and

  • @AllThePeopleSayingChristiansCan'tPracticeMartialArts: There is nothing about the Martial Arts that make them impossible for Christians to practice them. While most were created by Buddhists and Taoists, they were designed to be outside any religion, at least the Buddhist's Martial Arts. People from many religions have practice Shaolin Kung Fu at the Shaolin Temple in China, including Christians.

  • christian martial arts?? wtf? sounds more like cultist thinking

  • @Alexbomb69 ur wrong man u use those moves in a fight dude

  • @ivan12373

nope, you don't these are gymnastics.

  • you talk about thief... but you stole music.... bad remix

    l pray for you...

  • @wasabieater777 I purchased all of this music either through iTunes or CD.

  • The stuff you guy do is great. Dont think we got a christian martial arts over here in England but it dose not stop people doing both. Keep the hard work going and god bless.

  • 55 likes and 22 dislikes :)

  • A christian martial artist is a true Warrior. Great Video.

  • Katana guy is the best for me.

  • Does Christian Karate have anything in the Flint, Mi area.

  • great video man, excellent discipline.

Is that rap song by lecrae? "don't waste my life"? or is it Cross Culture Movement ?

  • @RenegadeMaster07 lecrea. but some members of 116 are in it.

  • @RenegadeMaster07 I believe the song is off one of Lecrae's albums.

  • @KSchmetzer it is, it's "don't waste your life", i got the album for christmas :P i think its on the Rebel album, if not its Rehab :)

  • that was sooo tiet! i wish i can do that

  • Its the force behind martial arts which is evil.

  • Whoa! What an awesome way to spread the message! And I applaud everyone's skills. Amazing! God bless.

  • @Ghostwriter14 thank you sir. God bless you as well

  • Typical self righteous white people.Stole every other culture's art forms throughout history because they never developed any of their own besides stealing. It's the truth, nice moves however.

  • Im sorry but dont see how you could make a christian martial arts group off of something that never belonged to you i respect christians i am one and ive been taking kung fu for years but i have never mixed them because kung fu is a art of Buddhism not christianity i dont practice it that way but i accept the fact thats who it was made and belongs to i respect the right to think what you think though

  • @jackthePS3GAMER I think buddhists would disagree with you that it is their art exclusively. As a matter of fact they dont really believe in ownership, or even exclusion for that matter. SO you might be incorrect here my friend.

  • @arktheball well true they dont believe in ownership but that does not mean we cant take everything from them sure we can do kung fu without following Buddhism but when you take kung fu and tie it in with Christianity thats a disrespect to the Buddhist religion and in that said i think disrespect is also a sin so basically what i think they are doing is wrong here but believe what you want

  • @jackthePS3GAMER i have "self_mastery" aka "kung fu". um, unless I'm trashed drunk. hehe, then I am drunken master. (of passing out in alleys)...Buddha prophecied Jesus...By The Way. While I'm here typing...ever think about "turning the 'opposite' cheek"~~pretty sound martial art advise if you ask me...try it, the person can't hit what's not where it was. Walk an extra mile with a soldier who obligates you~~he'll talk tactics. Just a different perspective. Be Well---

  • @arktheball her eat or drink or ANYTHING. Do it for the glory of God". 1 corinthians 10:31. I can truly say, that I did this knowing that every little bit of talent I had should be offered to God. First, none of this is considered kung fu. Second, the only way we are tying this in to Christianity is by honoring God and giving him all the glory for what he has given us.

  • @jackthePS3GAMER We are calling it Christian because we are all Christian. What we mean is that everything we do we are doing for the Lord. 1 Corinthians asks us to do everything for the Lord. The practice itself may be centered around another religion. But we are meaning that we are doing what we do for the Glory of God.

  • @jesusaves313 i see doing it for the lord is ok but naming it after him is not wrong but i dont really understand it do whatever you want dude i dont care you could call it BUTT RAPE MARTIAL ARTS i dont really care

  • @jackthePS3GAMER

The martial arts don't belong to exclusively the Buddhists. They belong to everyone who wishes to practice them.

  • @SwordAlchemistKiki not all marital arts have buddhists roots anyways just chinese martial arts

  • @SwordAlchemistKiki also calling it "Christian Marital arts" is like reading the Muslim Koran and calling it the Christian Koran

  • Christian martial arts would be speaking in tongues

  • THat iS all J/C POWER....lol

    GOD IS GOOD:-)

  • hmmm from my point of view, this is everything but not martial arts. Its more fancy stuff for exibition with low martial art potential. For example, whats the point of that fancy spining with the sword behind body in 0:43 and after. In a real fighting situation this would be unthinkable. As i said, it looks cool but its not martial art, please don't call it like that.

  • oh. xma :(

  • Reminds me of "So You Think You can Dance?"

Martial Arts are very effective. As soon as some thug sticks a knife in your face and asks for your wallet, you could break out the nunchaku and swing them behind your neck and under your leg. The offending thug would then die from laughter, freeing you from a potential ass-beating and the loss of your wallet.

  • This is not martial arts, this is aerobics

  • So what type of martial arts do you study? I know it says christian at the top, but... surely you follow a more known art form?

  • @jaywizardess Most of the basics are tae kwon do and american shotokan. the tricks are just acrobatics.

  • Can somebody tell me how to find lyrics of this song?

  • Brother im taekwondo master in manhattan ny. My father was the first person who did martial arts mission.

Hopefully one day we will meet and preach the gospel

  • martial arts is about hurting others not just protecting yourself. the pagans in buddism under the inspiriation of thier occult ideas of yin and yang develop the art to kill...jesus said i have come that they might have life...he didnt come to hurt someone

  • @bentleysw "I come not to bring peace, but to bring a sword" Matthew 10:34. The sword of the Word is mightier than any others.

  • It is all gymnastics and dancing about. all for show, not for Combat!

  • ach und .. what the hell is wrong yea if jesus is reall hes our savor ... but martirial arts don´t work with fear and hate its a way of life not the way of punch at first. i´m shour thar you are grat guys but i think you missed the toppic^^

  • the video is just grat ad awsome bostaff work but the musik ahh... think about ist but great tinkgs and moves ^^

  • True Martial Artist don't go around putting down other people and there arts or there beliefs.

  • if you repent of your ways you are forgiven, Jesus forgives Sin, for he created all things,

Jesus Christ is God, and trough his sacrifice and you beliefs you are clothed in righteousness,

if you stay in Sin and dont repent, he is also the Judge so it is up to you if you want his forgiveness or not

  • So if Jesus died for me, that means that if I accept him as my savior, he will lie to god and say I didn't commit any sin??? How can he forgive me, even if I did something evil like I killed somebody or raped a woman....what about those victims and relatives, what about their suffering? Who is going to live with that pain until they die? I dont think that's fair...

  • Eye Dont get this....Video!!!

  • It seems many of you are confused about the whole Christian Martial Arts thing. It's not a contradiction in terms. Substitute meditation for prayer to the holy Father or Jesus Christ and you pretty much make the transition from Eastern to Western. Most of the philosophies behind the arts is compatible with Judeo-Christian philosophies.

  • cool

  • I would love to test my skills on you guys... I am adept in both Tiger and Monkey and I would love to make you look like a child with my staff technique!

P.S Judas is AWSOME!!! >:[ and showing off what you can do is about pride and pride in itself is a sin so stop trying to push your evil beliefs on to others... ever heard of the crusades... people died for no reason other than to appease the church!

  • So what part of Canada are you from? Picking on kids doing fancy kata is quite... weak to be honest. I doubt you are adept in both those styles, or any for that matter... I see also you subscribed to Choson's site. That says alot about your true skills.

  • Yea, because you me so well champ... You know nothing of me so shut your mouth and have you read the info in the panel on the right?? If you proclaim all of that bullshit then you aren't a child... Since you know people just by reading things from a comment... Then tell me why they felt the need to say all of this?? Why couldn't they just post the video and leave it at that?? And I subscribe to Choson's page because I let my younger cousins use this profile... did you not see the cartoon stuff??

  • P.S ~ that whole White Knight thing you just tried failed big guy...

  • Posting a video on youtube isn't about pride, this is there ministry. Why all the hate?

  • @scifiguy100 fuck you, you self righteous asshole, you're a nobody and I am no hypocrite sir... Plank in my eye? and speck in my brothers?? i made no reference to having a sibling... and if you're insinuating that I can't see clearly because there is something in my eye then, may i suggest, you say "remove the dirt from your eye"...

  • again your white knight attempt failed yet again. and remember although i may have upset you, just be sure to turn the other cheek... or maybe accept that i call you an asshole and call yourself a fucking asshole :)

  • Ya know, you guys are awesome but no offense, in your description you are judging anyone that has lied or stolen etc. and that is gods place to do only. Which is sin. Your sin. Respectively you should not preach or judge. Nice vid. Take care

  • What is this incredible music?

  • Great effort guy's. May the Lord continue to bless you and strenghten your ministry. May others come to share in faith and express themselves through the arts as you have done. We are few in the Martial Art community but it is important to share the correct spiritual message. Well done!

  • I see martial arts...where is the Christian part? Is it the song...I was expecting to see a new style of martial arts.

  • You don't see the Angel in the background? You must be an atheist.

  • You have my Prayer cover and keep it up you guys. keep reaching the lost and keep using you gifts and talents for Jesus.

  • But the thing is that there is no such thing as God and Jesus is a lie.. You are going to die and when you do there will be nothing

  • opinion taking. and it's very logical that something came from nothing and that everything was formed from nothing that didn't exist and that the nothing exist appeared from nothing. makes perfect sense :)

  • Comment removed

  • @777warrior1 You're right it makes much more sense that everything was spoken into existence? No one said that everything came from nothing, the universe expanded from density and cooled down, physicists don't know what happened before that, but at least they're honest if they were yanking your chain they could make something up, but as time progresses there will be more evidence of what happened before the big bang. No one said everything came from nothing actually that's what the bible says

  • I see, these christians practice matiial arts that can't hurt anyone. Makes sense I guess...

  • ha ha ha world class

  • Christian martial arts? Does it involve nails in your hands?

  • Martial arts = thumbs up.

    Religion = thumbs down.

  • word

  • I inhale demon spirits before practising the heathen art of Waxonwaxoff

  • this is pure blasphemy. may god forgive you.

  • hey dude can i just say thank you for showing that martial arts an Christianity go well hand in hand together, i rly enjoyed the vid and hope to c more =)

  • I think that what you have in you heart is matters. If you do that not for you own pride and glory but for His. Then you are ont the right track. God bless you KSchmetzer. And what school do you go to?

  • Christian martial arts? Kidding right?

  • that shit was sick as hell nice video

  • great video

  • Amen! cool song

  • I seen some nice cuts with the katana. Althought I don't know if the cuts are strong enough to cut.

  • Jesus and martial arts for life!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think a lot of people of negatively commenting this video have no idea what they are talking about. Despite the fact that I am not a member of their organization, I CAN tell you that what they are doing is in fact glorifying God. Simply by giving God the credit for their abilities is in submission and thus honor of Him.

  • "giving god the credit for their abilities" ?

So... God gave them their abilities? Why even train then... Abilities aren't given by some deity, abilities comes from practice and commitment.

  • We have all trained in actual self defense techniques. We have the ability and training to defend ourselves if necessary in a real situation. Thanks for watching!

  • There's nothing more amusing than people who don't understand what Christianity is, or martial arts are. Here we have an example of someone who understands neither. I saw no martial arts and nothing Christian. Delusional thinking is amazing.....

  • This whole video has everything to do with Christianity. Everything we do, our Martial Arts is all for the glory of Christ alone! You do not know our personal beliefs to know whether or not we know what Christianity is. Also, do you know anything about Martial Arts? Obviously not!

  • For the glory of Christ?...LOL Delusion REALLY knows no bounds. You're trying to tell me that jumping around like a acrobatic clown while flipping a katana like a marching band twirler glorifies Jueeezus and..... represents Japanese kenjutsu? I'm laughing pretty hard on this end. Frankly, it is an embarrassing act of bizarre comedy justified via some convoluted connection to divinity. But hey, keep it up. It's funnier than the Beverly Hillbillies and Gilligans Island combined.

  • That's a lot of talk over the internet. Haha. But the bible says to do everything for the glory of God. That's what we do. We've takin the art of self defense and added flashy things to it to make it attractive to the audience.

  • I respect your point of view but theres a diferent truth for everione. jesus didnt say do it my way or else...and remember the books of the new testament only one was ritten buy someone who lived in jseus time. All the best

  • Actually, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." But I don't want to have a theological debate through youtube comments. Thanks for viewing and for the comments. God bless!

  • The Bible never says you can't defend yourself if you are being attacked. I'm not going around getting revenge on people who have ever done something wrong against me.

  • I bet you couldn't give one example of how the Bible "contradicts" it's self.

I would also like to know where you get the idea that Martial Arts are "heathen arts."

  • Comment removed

  • A lot of the verses you are referring to are being takin out of context. You can't read one verse and think you understand it. Just like you can't listen to one statement in a conversation and think you know the context.

  • The art may have been created or practiced by people who were against Christians but that is the people. Not the art.

  • The popular term today is Martial Arts. The history of that term may be related to something that has nothing to do with Christianity but today that term does not refer to art of warfare from Mars. It refers to self defense.

  • the word martial arts does mean "arts of Mars" and refers to war arts, a Martian is term to refer to someone from Mars, the surface of Mars is referred as the Martian surface. Budo in Japanese can be translated as martial arts, martial ways, martial path, war path, war ways or war arts, wushu in Chinese means martial arts, kung fu means hard work but often refers to martial arts. people learn war arts to defend themselves.

  • Just because the people who created a lot of the styles of Martial Arts were Buddhists, etc. doesn't mean I practice Buddhism, etc. Most Martial Arts these days (especially in the west) does not have any religion, meditation, etc. in it. I have not combined Christianity with Martial Arts. Just simply practicing Martial Arts for the glory of God.

  • I don't think it's SUPPOSE to represent Japanese kenjutsu, it's suppose to be entertaining, which it is. Anytime you do something for the glory of God, you honor him, which this does.

  • @KSchmetzer Ouch someone woke up on the wrong side of the crucifix?

  • i almost curious why you combine christ with martial arts. the main basis of martial arts is to subdue, injure, or kill an opponent. I see you enjoy the sport aspect of martial arts, but I'm very curious of your reasoning of linking the two together. I agree with the idea of using martial arts as a defense so I'm not criticizing you in anyway. I just would really like to know why you make a link between the two. Good video by the way.

  • Thanks for watching! Martial Arts is designed for self defense but has also become a sport. We use our art/sport for the glory of Christ and to spread the name of Jesus through out the world! We link the two because we believe God should have all the credit for any "skills" we have. Thanks again!

  • Well I'm glad to hear it. Keep it up :).

  • nice song

  • Why should people start reading the Bible at the Book of John? That's the incredibly poetic one that everybody interprets differently that's responsible for most of the anti-semitism in modern and historical Christianity.

  • Thanks for reading! Good question. That could be said about any book in the Bible. Why John? It has a good and full explanation of the gospel. It also just gives people a place to start. If you told someone to read their Bible it wouldn't have as much as an affect and they would be more likely to do it if you gave them a place to start. Just my opinion. Thanks!

  • comment 10: i completely agree brother. it teaches dicipline and self-respect. the word says that you have to respect/love yourself as well. you just remember to use the word more. this lif eis 99% spiritual and 1% physical. Ephisians 6:12 only use martial arts in self-defense. :) and for the record, i do XMA skits for the ministry. attracts a lot of people. keep going brother and Godbless you.

  • Religion and fighting what else can be said. Cute guys though, I wonder if there are into guys too.

  • Wow that's actually really impressive, thats quite a team you have

  • =]

Please send this word out to Jacob Kabel.

Ask him when will he be coming to pay us a visit down At XMA HQ?

    Kick ass video!

    5/5 =]

  • AWEsome compilation. Good bless mate!

    -Beau

  • I was just wondering why do you combined Christ with Martial arts?

  • MAN this is awesome, and people dont get it that Christianity isnt about religion its about Christ and what He did, honestly i know for a fact Martial arts and Christ work perfectly together i mean it wouldnt be here without Christ, thank you for this and it glorifies God a lot i am sure ^_^, and for the people who say otherwise..........eh not worth my time.

  • Thanks for the support!

    I agree.

  • Kris, I remember many of those tournaments. If they weren't from a year ago in 2007 and 2008.

  • stop spreading that religion shit please

  • I will do all things for the glory of Christ!

  • I'm just curious, why would you even watch a video labled the way this is, just to say something like that...

  • Nice video, the guy with the swords is particularly impressive. Shame about the music though. That first song is the worst tune I've ever heard. Just terrible.

Christianity and martial arts are a very strange mix. Surely Christianity is about pacifism, not giving people round house kicks to the head and hacking them to death with swords?...well maybe it was during the crusades, but thats probably wasn't christianity finest moment. You should keep up the martial arts but drop the religious bit.

  • Thanks for watching and commenting!

In response to some of your statements:

Christianity is not about pacifism. It's about sinners in need of a Savior and God giving his Son to take our punishment! It's about God and his glory!

God also backed his people in wars in the Old Testament giving them strength and victory against bigger armies. We practice Martial Arts as self defense and for sport. Not to attack people.

  • Continued...

The weapons are extensions of our body. Though in most self defense situations we may not have any weapons. We may have a broom stick, etc. but thats where we would use our sword knowledge.

  • fucking good maan

  • Where are you guys from?!

  • Different places in the United States. Princeton/Louisville, Kentucky; Conyers/Atlanta, Georgia; Las Vegas, Nevada/ New Orleans, Louisiana

  • thats awesome! I wish i was this good lol

  • Thanks. Keep practicing!
