Aw, fond memories! My first car was a red '85 GT-S hatchback just like the one in your video. Mine had the catalytic converter removed; a BLAST to drive! Mom made me sell it when I went to college. Definitely regret that. Why won't Toyota build a car like that today?? Looks like the one in your video is in pretty good shape!

yeah i replaced the clutch...big difference...real quick car off the line due to the quick ratio gear box and MR platform.

i heard it slip...but it lasted so long for ya.

if you can hear, the clutch slips and it would slip even more if i shifted faster. Although you can launch a n/a mr2 at 5k and little screeching ;P

shouldn't your mr2 have won? i have a gt-s 85 and i thought mr2 should beat a corolla off launch?

haha...my clutch slips so i cant do any fast shifting...same clutch from the toyota factory since 215k miles ago.
