yay for youtube, let the world watch, yay for flickr, ditto, your clones inspired me to make clones of my self (my flickr handle is "votaw"), and it was during a difficult time in my life, and it was very cathartic, theraputic, and i want to thank you sooo much for giving me that gift of the idea of how to help heal my self (fck, im tearing up as i write this, and im friggen at work), anyway, thanks again
A year ago when I first saw Natalie's (aka Miss Aniela) oeuvre on Flickr I was immediately stuck and amazed by both her technical skills with PS and her artistic imagination. Over the year I've seen the creative evolution of her photos exploring different aspects of her life and emotions thru the feedback that she has had from her many Flickr fans. She's a brilliantly talented artist photographer and she thoroughly deserves the recognition she has had from the media ~ via her Flickr fans :)
I think you're right bunaen. Whatever the controversy, Natalie's photos are fantastic and I for one will continue to support her work. Good luck with the art show, Natalie! (retro traveller on flickr).
The BBC got the controversy wrong. It was never a matter of whether Miss Aniela's photos are pornographic or demeaning to women. Wasn't it whether Miss Aniela receives favorable treatment Flickr's admins? The allegation was that Flickr applied its policy of relegating photos displaying the female breast to obscurity with partiality. And that in a few select cases, including Miss Aniela's, Flickr would permit images of the female breast, making them popular, while banning others.
Way to go Miss Aniela. This is great! One of 'ours' is getting recognized. I don't know you from Adam (Eve in this case) and still I'm proud of you. Congratulations.
Well done Natalie! Great to hear your photography is getting the recognition it deserves. I was directed to your photos by a friend half a year ago and you seemed familiar to me... as it turns out we met very briefly about 5 years ago for a filmmaking summer school in Carlisle, working together on a short film. It's great to hear how well you're doing now - I wish you the best of luck with your exhibition, studies and future!
Amazing!Go Natalie.
