@Greekadonis2 this car wont be for sale for a looooonng time. if the right price comes around maybe something can be worked out, but im not looking to sell this car anytime soon.
Wow, I've looked long to see an original 69 SS396 that is Silver with a black vinyl roof!
Seriously! That was just like my car, I ordered it from the factory in 68 before the dealership even had pamphlets to see what it would look like. I had the first one in all of St.Louis.

nice man thanks! seems like it's a pretty aggressive cam :) :) what is your 1/4 mile times have you ran it? i'm looking into buying a 68 chevelle ss 396 and i'm not too familiar with the big blocks but i do know small blocks in and out - so i appreciate you giving me the specs. if you don't mind me asking, what bottom end and heads did you go with?
Hey, well its my dad's car but i've got alot of time behind the wheel. its never been run 1/4 or 1/8th mile....yet.. :) But Compared to the new Camaro with the Ls3 in it, it pulls alot harder. If i were you, i'd get the 68, the 396 is a beastly motor :)
Bottom end and heads are pretty much stock , it's .30 over...nothing fancy at all, pro magnum roller tip rockers, Holley 4150 HP chokeless race carb w/mechanical secondaries, , MSD HEI dist/coil etc...
have you noticed any torque or backpressure loss with the 3 inch system? i have a 68 camaro ss with a 454 and im not sure whether to go with pypes 2.5" or 3" system with the violators. help would b appreciated. :)
I had the same car back in high school. I bought it in 1976, and had it for 5 years. Mine was silver with a blue top and blue interior. 396 SS 375 HP. 4 speed m21 tranny, 411 rear. I loved that car! I still have photos of it. Thanks for the memories!
is that a factory rear annteanna car?

you could put that top and color on any GM car from the '60s, and it would look awesome!

Tell your old man that the pipes are hanging way too low and sticking out too far. But the car is nice otherwise.

No...but I'm at about the minimal hp for the 3" and the x helps with the back pressure loss, also I have 2.5 tails..which helps too.
