There was a point elsewhere on that show (the 1994 VMAs) where they receive an award, Dave takes to the podium, thanks the crowd, and gets choked up while telling them that he "thinks about Kurt every day". It's really heartbreaking, especially since it was still all so very fresh to them.

Actually Kurt Cobains best friend was a guy named Dylan Carlson. It was Dylan who bought the gun for Cobain with which he killed himself. I saw an interview with Dylan on Nick Broomfields documentary "Kurt & Courtney". He looked real sick, he's still a heroin addict to this day. I heard that the guys in Nirvana never really socialised, what with Kurt being an addict and the others not.
