    Kevin Smith Hates ad-libing, even the most minute things such as extra lines are discouraged. And the lighing for the scene(a reference to the bartender in The Shinning) was an idea they had whilst rehersing the scene.

  • There ate (A FEW) exceptions to that rule. Mostly in regard to Chris Rock. Chris Rock gets away with a few ad-libs, mostly lines that Kevin wouldn't dare write himself like "Does your daddy know that you bring a nigga his coffee?" I'm not sure about the N.W.P. line but you catch my drift? Holy shit did I just use "catch my drift"? I need to take some cool lessons.
