  • Time to go and live in a country which is run for it's own people.

Switzerland. Belive it or not they still moan about high taxes there. You must be joking. Must be becasue they are not in the EU

  • An interesting perspective is also to look at the amount of tax revenue spent in the public sector including of course the public sector pensions. The entrepreneurs and small businesses are stifled yet are the engines of any economy.

  • (post 5) Now suppose you don't tax him 50%. Does he keep the extra £3 million that is coming out of his business??? What would you do? Would you pocket it?

I'll tell you the answer, NO! No you won't pocket it, it is EXCESS money. It is money that can pay for more jobs. With the extra £3 million he could create a £20k job for 150 different people! WOW imagine what all those extra jobs can do for our economy!

  • (post 4) To get this £3 million he is being taxed 50% which means if he wants to pocket £3 million he will have to pay an extra £3 million to the state! Where does this extra money come from? From his own pocket? Of course not, he doesn't have the money in his pocket YET!

He is a business man so the first place he goes to find the extra £3 million in tax comes directly from his business, his company, his employees, raising prices for his customers. The money comes directly from you.

  • (post 3) Do you think that taxing the rich is good? Do you think taxing the rich will give them less to spend? Do you think taxing the rich will create more wealth for the country?

the answer is no, the rich man will always have a way to pay for their luxaries. It doesn't matter if you tax them 20% or 60% they will still find a way, because that's how they got rich. Lets imagine a rich person has a excentric lifestyle. Expensive house etc. He needs 3 million pounds for his upkeep.

  • Isn't it odd that the Tories have decided to make many cuts in frontline services that will dampen our NHS, close police stations, make teachers redundant. But at the same time VAT is going UP? Does no one see this as immoral?

  • Ok you're all having problems with capitalists as if we don't want the poor to be better off. You claim that we should all pay our taxes for the frontline services: teachers; policemen; firemen and so on. But have you done any research into what the money is actually spent on?

  • tax dodging scum. hope you all get thrown in prison. i'd gladly pay any tax to see that happen.

  • @itsmeJTke it just isnt fair, thats your money! haha shut up JT

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz fuck off to somalia then. no government, no law or safety either, but hey it's all about ME ME ME. "FUCK Y'ALL, GOT MINE." don't call the police when you get attacked, don't drive on the roads society paid for, don't call the ambulance when you're sick, don't claim the dole when you can't get a job, don't go to school, don't call the fire brigade, don't depend on the army to defend your rights, don't leave your rubbish out to collect, etc. we shouldn't support selfish scum!

  • @itsmeJTke my definition of selfish scum is people who want to fix problems they dont like with other peoples money

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz "my definition of selfish scum is everyone else who want to fix problems they don't like with my money, ME ME ME" fuck y'all, got mine. fyp. sorry, you live amongst other people, who don't particular like you exploiting the rest of them or employing economic hierarchies. if you don't like it go and live by yourself. no "selfish people" there except you, then you can horde your wealth to your hearts content. greedy tit.

  • @itsmeJTke my prospects of making more than say 10 quid an hour in the next ten years of my life are slim at best so i dont think i'll be exploiting anyone, what you call exploitation i call oppertunity.

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz your small prospects of exploiting others are mostly due to the welfare state. your lack of empathy is starting to border on the pathological.

  • @itsmeJTke get off the internet, its provided by the exploited, how do you live with yourself

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz ^^. that is arguable but there are plenty of products that are produced from the labour of the exploited. luxuries such as apple products, hard drives, non-fairtrade jewels/precious metals, non-fairtrade produce, high street clothing, etc. our class system has changed in that we have outsourced the proletariat to the third world and immigrants. you do not have to think hard to see the needless inequities in our way of life. i live with myself by trying to act ethically...

  • @itsmeJTke except these people by and large dont see it as "oh we're the poor proleteriat" they see it as "nice one heres a job that pays twice as much as the other options and i get to stay inside instead of breaking my back in a field", also what about your contempt for men and self admitted female supremacist beleifs, ethical?

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz you don't think the exploited don't know they're being used? don't resent being paid peanuts from the share of the profits made by their employers? it is similar to putting a gun to someone's head in exchange for sex. you can say no but you'll die. which is not real option. the only difference is that instead of using force to kill, employers will simply let them starve.

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz we are all allowed our personal beliefs and positions, i haven't acted in any way to harm men, perhaps patriarchal individuals of both genders and structures but i do not advocate unilateral or arbitrary action based on sexism. i do advocate it against antifeminists/masculists though.

  • @itsmeJTke "we are all allowed our personal beliefs and position" - "i do advocate it against antifeminists/masculists though."

    ah the hypocracy

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz not really, i have my own personal position, but i support the feminist movement as a result those two are not contradictory. antifeminist/masculist people on the other hand are the opposite. they do not allow either personal or political beliefs and as such are a cancer to be eradicated.

  • @itsmeJTke same old stalinist as before, thats all fancy talk for "eradicate those with views different to my own".

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz no. i just believe in certain human rights and we all have the right to defend ourselves. it isn't views that are different to my own, it's views that discriminate unfairly. there are plenty of views which i don't share e.g. religious but i'm not going to say they can't believe that. whereas a person has no control over the circumstances of their birth, if they have a disability, sexual orientation, etc. so it is wrong to discriminate against them.

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz and right-wing scum wouldn't allow me to have my views anyway.

  • @itsmeJTke well im a right winger, classic liberal and i'd allow you to have and air any view you want, infact i dont even like the word allow because it implies i have some control or say in what you think, i just see a lot of hypocracy in your views is all, your all for political correctness and all yet here you are being "politically incorrect" towards men and people of different minds than you, if your so concerned about other peoples wellbeing why dont you do something positive and help em

  • @itsmeJTke instead of sitting here spewing out hate to people who disagree with you, cutting off the leg of a giant wont make you any taller.

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz patriarchy is not all men. patriarchy is male domination. if men are feminists then i'm happy to associate with them. you might be fine with my freedom, but as you go further right, freedoms disappear. i am anarchist. i believe in no hierarchies or authority based on coercion.

  • @itsmeJTke most anarchists understand that you cannot trust the government to provide that

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz i don't believe in a government. i believe in equal individuals forming participatory democratic communities to govern themselves. within anarchy you could have anarcho-socialist and anarcho-capitalist systems, which are fine so long as everybody is there of their own free will.

  • @itsmeJTke ...you've changed :P

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz i have always been an anarchist but perhaps i probably didn't expound on this. it must still be based on no hierarchies or use of force which also means no discrimination (as that is unequal).

  • @itsmeJTke @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz Hey guys, was looking for a video on how the tax system works. I think you two are great people who are very intelligent with good things to say about your ideals. But when you mock each other and argue, I feel like democracy is breaking down.

  • I am a rock, I am an island. - Does Adam not use public services then? Would he never call the Police if he was burgled? Would he operate on himself if he needed brain surgury? Does he build his own road as he goes to work? ..and a million other things - On the other hand... money and wealth is a fiction anyway as the central banks (that we allegedly own) make it out of nothing, loan it to us (the Government) and charge us interest. Why are we paying interest to ourselves? What a web.
  • but., but, but, its for teh POOR, and all those services you have no interst in or ever use, and what about the juicy politicians salaries for all the wonderful things they do for you! hah, what a crock, bloodsuckers at the bottom and the corrupt bastards at top, all living at the expense of the working person, sickenin

  • @duanescot So you're annoyed because you pay the state but don't need the state?

Are you REALLY SURE you don't need the state?

Army, Police, Healthcare, Fire Service, Every single Road, Every single streetlamp, a huge chunk of the houses, all the schools, all the hospitals, all the bridges, all the pipes, all the telephone lines, all the sewers, all the pavements, all the free parks, all the beaches, all the national parks, all the food reserves, everything standardised, rights, money, and more.

  • @kuzzlenuzzle

It would be nice if vital services like the Police and Military were what taxes pay for but they don't. The go to transfer payments to people who don't work and to pay the massive administration costs. Instead of buying equipment or paying salaries for frontline workers it gets wasted on politically well-connected businesses or political programs.

Paying for some politician's pet project isn't voluntary.

  • @lipovan87 Prove it. With my knowledge of economics and politics I think that's a load of drivel. At most a moderate minority goes to maintenance of the system. If it was any other way, then how else could the system have grown like it has over the last twenty years?

And it's good that the money goes to the poor. Greater equality is better for everyone, after all.

And how is that 'waste'? Do YOU want to try allocating government spending? Go on, run for chancellor. Let's see how you do.

  • @kuzzlenuzzle

While I cannot provide much in the way of statistics, I can at least provide some experience from government work. While huge amounts are spent on any given agency, the financial controls in place are strict enough to require constant oversight (it took 5 different offices to get a plane ticket) but loose enough that the government can buy poor quality helicopters for a vastly inflated price.

  • @kuzzlenuzzle

Merely saying that the system has grown says little of the efficiency of it. Given the huge strides in technology and trade, almost anything is possible for a short period of time. The better question is the efficiency of a system in which the results of people's work is taken and allocated by a distant and uncaring bureaucracy (one I work for). I find it infinitely more credible that its the lucrative and respectable political privileges the system provides that grows it.

  • @kuzzlenuzzle

And as for equality, is a system where there is one politician/bureaucrat/crony capitalist with 10M and 1,000 people with 100,000 more equal than a society in which 200 people have 10M and the rest have 1M. The question is absurd. The only real issue is if people are equal before the law and free to the results of their work (or frequently lack of it), not arbitrary gini coefficients that have no relation to how people interact with each other.

  • @duanescot Yes, it isn't perfect, but you're a fool to think we don't need it.

  • Is this infact true?

  • Anyone who really gets riled over this has no idea how societies work.

  • @kuzzlenuzzle anyone who doesn't get riled up over people stealing their life's product is moronic cattle.

  • @SirFinklebottom Okay then! How about you opt out of your taxation system and your society, and go and found your own nation of one person! Let's see how well you do without the multitudinous benefits being in a society brings you!

Go study some economics, politics, and history, and then get back to me.

  • @kuzzlenuzzle Oh believe me, I'm gone. I have no obligation to stick about in the sinking west

  • this is the reason why you don't want to live in the UK, the tax rates are ridiculous its actually more simpler to work under the tax limit so you don't pay it!

  • What has happened To Modern Society ?

  • Now this is really a crap pointless video why would we want to know this for??? We already knew we get shite pay. That sums it up in like a second. Look say shite pay and then watch this video. Yeh cool I could have said shite pay like 200 times instead of being more depressed now from watching this video!!!! Thanks :-( please look at my video's SimonPurvisTV :-) thumbs up if you would rather say shite pay than watch this video again!

  • This makes want to blow a fuse!

  • @swiftysmithuk he should be thankful because a large number of people don't even have the opportunity to earn 26k, even if they want to labour for it

  • @hamish1718 this

  • moonhitlers comment "i have no duty to others/why should i pay because others rely on it". What a ridiculous thing to say. - you rely on everybody as much as they rely on you. Everybody has a duty to support the society we live in, thats how society works. Without it you'd be living in a cave hunting for your own survival. You wouldn't have a job/house/car/health if you didn't rely on everybody elses contribution to society.

  • @hamish1718 There is a point though when it get ridiculous, my friend works in Singapore and can't understand where all are taxes go.

  • adam should be thankful he earns 26 k a year tbh...

  • @randomness051

I don't get it, who do you think Adam should be thanking?

If Adam received his 26k a year from charity or by forcing others to provide him with benefits, I would agree, he should be thankful, but as the 26k is payment for his labour, why should he be thankful to anyone?

He is the one supplying 26k worth of labour, and his wage is the thanks he gets for providing it.

  • We pay high taxes because we are forced to pay into a system which is a continuation of the old Lord/Serf tax system, that in fundamentals hasn't changed in hundreds of year.

Take GP's for instance, they get paid £200k+ per year, they offer generally poor quality surly service & the GMC work for Pharma giants, not the public. Or councils skimming billions with no accountability. Tips of a huge iceberg that treats the public like a cash cow. Tax should only be by consent, never by force.

  • More like this to get through to people in this country whats going on, after 13 years of Brownian stealth taxes etc.

Do the same video with a feckless baby breeder and show side by side the poor bastards working to pay for her choices too.

  • TAX=Slavery! Wake Up Sheeple we are slaves for the elite ( The Corporate World)=fascism. IF THERES A PROBLEM THEY HAVE TAX FOR IT! SIMPLES

  • If only we quit the EU and stopped Overseas Aid we would not have to pay tax till after lunch. If we then tackled the over-inflated welfare state with its dependency culture, we could be working for ourselves by elevenses. And ufewl should realise this video was NOT made by Tory MPs. They and their kind are ring-fencing Overseas Aid when every other expenditure is for the chop to pay for the Labour mismanagement.

  • @barrymx5 Overseas aid and money going toward the EU constitutes a tiny amount of government spending. The largest areas of spending are, in order, Social Protection, Healthcare, Education, National Debt Interest, Defence. These make up about 75% of spending.

  • @WhyCantIVote actually about 7%

  • @murrchops 70% is more accurate; they account for £490Billion of spending.

  • @WhyCantIVote I was talking about the eu and overseas aid, look at the full extent on the taxpayers alliance website.

  • Well, we have to pay for the politicians wars somehow and let's face it, without someone to bomb, we cannot train or justify an army and politicians cannot remain in power. Then of course, there is the EU. We need to tax people into the floor to pay for that corrupt little club. Finally, there is placemen corruption. How are we going to get the police, councils, schools, quangos and so on to do what goverment want unless we pay their leaders high salaries in bribes? Tax pays for that too.

  • poor baby has to pay taxes :'(

  • Adam works in the public sector, just like the Tory MPs who made this video, Adam pays for the fraud they commit on their expenses/

  • Comment removed

  • Adam gets A) free roads b) free schools c) free army d free airforce e free government f free courts g free prisions h free dentist i free helath service j free pension So Adam not doing to badly are we? Bag O' Shyte!!
  • @ufewl Because Adam pays so much, ufewl you manage to get that all free, all of those things are free to people who are on benefits, so just because you are a scrounging work dodger don't presume everyone else is and gets it "free" we work so you can get it free, and your name really suits you!

  • @emster73 most people work before they become ill or lose their jobs.

Most of those are not out of work by choice. They have paid their national insurance and taxes.

If you don't like the national insurance system then leave the country, then if you lose your job you will starve.

Do you complain when your neighbour claims on his car insurance?

People out of work get a bad deal from the NI system, they pay more in than is paid out. You are paying to bail out the toffs in the banks.

  • Comment removed

  • PART 2 that Adam was getting all the stuff you listed for "free" when he is working, if you work you pay tax and NI which goes to pay for your big "free" list, if you don't work you get that stuff for free, don't presume we are all getting the stuff on your list free just because you are. And look at what you are writing dude, Free Government! LoL they are the ones that cost us the most. Gnight dude can't stay up on here all night gotta go to work in the morning and pay your bills!

  • i never complained about the national insurance system which is a very good thing when run properly and not taken advantage of because its a lot easier for people to claim than earn and contribute but i did point out your stupid comment

  • @ufewl @ufewl Part 1 Adam is paying for the waste made by the last government and he and his kids will probably be paying it off for a very long time, All partys were caught out fiddling there taxes which the last government did nothing about and tryed to repress the information coming out in the first place.

  • @emster73 Adam is paying for the trashing of the economy by the bankers who were running a giant Ponzi scheme, they were getting huge bonus on the back of the fake profits they were making. The lost everyones savings and pensions and earned themselves 100's of billions whilst doing so. They are using the taxpayers money they received to restart that bonus earning scheme.

That's the truth and it is crime. Don't blame the poorest and weakest in society, it's not their fault.

  • @emster73 I doubt that, the currency will collapse by then and the system will clean itself. Like turning the country off and then on again.

  • Comment removed

  • @ufewl Has it not occurred to you that maybe all the taxes put on employment are one of the factors causing unemployment?

The government spends £2Billion per day £500Million of which is borrowed. If the government doesn't cut its own expenditure then the economy will stagnate.

  • @WhyCantIVote just reclaim the money the bankers stole, seize their assets.

    Simples.

  • @ufewl The government steals money; the bankers can only borrow it with the consent of their customers. If the government cut its expenditure and stopped interfering with the financial markets there wouldn't be a problem.

  • @ufewl The problem with NI is that it's a ponzi scheme.

  • @ufewl Also Dentists aren't free if your working and prison is for mugs like you!

  • @emster73 prison is to stop you getting burgled or you throat cut, when unemployment reaches 10 million as it will you will be glad of the prisons, you will

need to build a lot more of them too.

  • @ufewl (A2Z) of Admiralty Law Corporate Briton, we are signed over at birth to it. Look up Lawful Rebellion

  • @ufewl

Adam pays over the odds for roads that he doesn't use.

a public school system that is more expensive than educating the child privately

an army that is ill equipped where the senior officers resign in disgust

free government! (I won't even bother to reply)

Courts accessible only to the richest and being taken over by Europe.

    A prison system that fails

a health service with more managers than doctors

and to top it all a pension you're never going to receive as it's a giant Ponzi scheme.

  • @murrchops But it does not say what job Adam does?

Does he work as an administrator for the NHS? Or in the courts? Is he part of the prison service?

Or a firm which suppliers the NHS, the courts or the prison service or a product which is bought by employees of such services?

A lot of that money is going towards his pension and social security?

Do you expect to get government, army navy police health service and roads for free? How much would you be prepared to pay for them? £10 a month?

  • @ufewl Look I think we have already explained, you are not going to get a pension because it's all gone, its a ponzi scheme. The goverment has got us all into £37.000 worth of debt, if you add to that the fact that we are still adding to this debt, only 40% of the population will be working over the next 20 years and the current pension and nhs, liabilities, you are talking £200,000. I expect a few things from the government but we have been living in a socialist state and now we are bankrupt.

  • @murrchops Your dead wrong we have been living in a Capitalist state, all our debts are due to Capitalism, do you not remember the banking bailout, where we bailed out overpaid toffs like Adam in the video above who were running a giant Ponzi scheme?

It's a problem of capitalism, the bankers ran out of other people savings to squander and then they come cap in hand to the tax-payer to bail them out and keep Adam in his waste of space job shuffling paper in a bank, repeating the crime.

  • @ufewl "Adam works in the public sector, just like the Tory MPs who made this video, Adam pays for the fraud they commit on their expenses" -- I would point out that only 1 out of the 10 top spenders in 07-08/08-09 was a Tory. Cameron has set a 5% pay cut and a complete pay freeze across the board on parliamentary members compared to the 3 consecutive pay rises the Labour government instituted in their term. Then again I expect this kind of hypocrisy from a young socialist.

  • @Zen0xious 1. It does not mention the time he gets back through tax relief on his pension. That could be a couple of hours!!

Also the highest spenders are those who live furthest away from London, most Tory toffs live near London hence you claim is invalid as you are not conparing like with like. Many Tory MPs are millionaires they will make big money channel billions into companies they have interests in. You have seen recent revelations about rich MPs fiddling their expense, the LIb Dem one.

  • @Zen0xious The poor are paying 75% tax no beer fags and petrol, the rich paying 18% tax on capital gains so the poor are paying 4 times as much tax on their earnings, sounds lilke you are an "old reverse socialist" where the poor are made to pay high tax to subsidise the rich. So seeing as you are not a socialist you will want that changed I suppose?

Or are you just going to own up to being a big effing hypocrite? or idiot?

    Take your pick!!

  • @ufewl You are talking to someone who doesn't vote for the Lib-Lab-Con and thus considers them all as bad as each other, because of this I find your rose tinted vision about the Labour party absurd.

    1. EVERYONE pays capital gains tax.

    2. EVERYONE pays vat, how absurd it is to think that wealthy people don't smoke or drink.

    3. Labour are the ones who ditched the 10 pence tax rule.

    4. Those earning above 34k are taxed 44% so what are you really complaining about?

  • @ufewl Squeezing the productive portion of the economy to pay for massively over inflated socialist schemes is absurd because sooner or later all you’re left with is the unproductive socialist part. These jobs always account for far less than the productive ones. This can’t be argued against, because there is not a society that exists which has prospered in this way. You keep bleeting on about the Tories, but do you honestly believe that the champagne socialist Labour or Lib-Dems. are better?

  • @ufewl Banking bailouts don't happen in a capitalist system; they happen in a corporatist system. In a capitalist system the banks are allowed to fail. You also completely ignore governments' role in screwing up the loan market by manipulating interest rates.

The banks get their money from people who voluntarily do business with them. The government is the only organisation that can actually use force to take your money.

  • @WhyCantIVote They do in the form of capitalism we have, it's not real capitailm I agree it is a social welfare system which keeps the rich rich and the poor poor, and the corrupt corrupt.

I do not volentary do business with a bank I have to I have no other choce of saving, I know they are running a corrupt system where by they launder my savings into my bonuses, but what can I do? Put it under the matress.

We have corupt capitalist system thats what we have.

    Nowt to do with socialism.

  • @ufewl The UK isn't a capitalist economy; it is a mixed economy.

Even if there was no other way for you to save your money you would still able to choose which bank to go to. If you aren't confident about one bank then you can go to another.

And controlling credit using a central bank is one of the planks of the communist manifesto. This has at least as much to do with socialism as it does with capitalism.

  • @WhyCantIVote Al the banks follow the same inadequate rules, and even a good one is effected by the bad ones.

It's not socialism in the sense it distributes wealth from rich to poor, it is only socialism in the the sense it redictributes wealth, but it is taking from the poor to give to the rich.

    Basically it is corrupt capitalism.

For u to call it socialism is just ridiculous, you really have got the whole thing wrapped around your neck so to speak.

  • @ufewl How exactly would further government interference increase the amount of choice we have?

If wealth is being redistributed by the government then doesn't that mean this problem was caused by corrupt socialism? In a capitalist system the government wouldn't interfere very much at all.

  • I work 0 hours every day and get £45k child benefit tax credits for my 8 children, paid for by lovely men like Adam. I'm on incapacity benefit and can only afford a basic Sky HD package and a Xbox 360 (no PS3). He also pays for rent in my 6 bedroom detached house

    Thanks mate

  • @LeClassics LOL, awesome post, and sadly so true of many parasites.

  • Comment removed

  • @bigmaro I'm sure even the likes of the KKK will understand sarcasm... maybe.

  • @bigmaro And I've seen your uploads.... is that you in the picture? I don't think the KKK will take lightly to paedophiles, do you keep your little girl tight on a leash?

  • @LeClassics you can always spot the sun reader a mile away by the shite he spouts. UK Govt. losses through benefit fraud: £1.1bn (google: 'NFA reveals true extent of UK's £30 billion fraud loss') whereas 'legal' tax avoidance cost the government between: £7.4 and 32.2bn last year alone. (google:' guardian tax gap information' - it's HMRC sourced information) and let us not forget it was the tax dodgers who caused the recession, it had nothing to do with the poor.

  • @itsmeJTke Who said anything about benefit fraud?

  • @LeClassics sorry, i read your post and incorrectly made a hopeful overestimation of your character. see what i wrote for ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz.

  • @itsmeJTke Well it's nice (for the lifetime benefit claimants) to know there are gullible suckers like you who are willing to provide for others for nothing in return. It's what keeps the welfare state from collapsing, as I'm sure most of us wouldn't mind a life of no work and everything provided for.

  • @LeClassics throw yourself in front of a lorry then, if you survive you can claim incapacity benefits and i won't have to suffer your egotistical whining drivel. win/win!

  • "Taxes go on services etc" I don't care. I don't work for society, and if I wanted these wonderful services (lol) I would pay for them without the threat of death/imprisonment.

  • @rambo26 I'm forcing you to buy my apple for £1 million. You better enjoy and appreciate that apple you ungrateful wanker. I'm providing you a service!

  • Has the video included council tax?

  • "How long do you work for the taxman?" is a disingenuous question. The 'taxman' does not go home every day and roll around in a bed of our money. The taxman collects tax on our behalf. It funds roads, hospitals and schools for ALL of us. The question should be "How long do you work for society?" but that wouldn't quite cut it with the TaxDodgers Alliance.

  • @MarkLip It's meant as a joke and a pun.

The fine people at the TPA don't want to dodge Tax, you'll find they are some of the hardest and most dedicated workers in the country. They just want to earn their money without tax or burden.

Have you thought maybe they do not want these services provided by the Government? Maybe they have no need of them? Why should they pay because others rely on it?

I believe I have no duty to others, nor do they have a duty to me.

  • @MarkLip Well everyone works for "society"

  • Excellent, although I'd like to see the sums. Sorry to get all school-teachery, but have you shown your 'working' anywhere?

  • @Holymowlam sources are linked in the video description

  • Brilliant and concise. Short and effective. Well done TPA. I have posted this to my Facebook page.

  • Youve forgotten Capital Gains Tax.

  • Comment removed

  • Silly video. Most of those taxes pay for srvs of some kind or other. If you don't pay them to the government (or local authority) then you would have to pay for them privately. Council Tax pays for the office's trash to be removed and pays for the road outside the off to be maintained. The office worker's income tax pays for health - the NHS. I note that the silly video did not include how much the office worker and the office pay in privatised services like water, electricity and gas. Why not?

  • @richardblogger the point is that tax is legal theft that you are forced to pay or go to gaol. You choose to pay private services because they provide you with a product or service, if you get nothing from them then you have no reason to pay.

  • @richardblogger we've identified over £100 billion of waste, Richard, meaning you could save a huge amount of money. As for "why does this video only talk about tax", the clue is in our name!

  • @mrmewallace I doubt it. You have probably identified £100 billion you don't like being spent (unemployment benefit, single parents, housing, and other such social projects), but that isn't the same thing as waste.

  • @richardblogger If i paid for these services privately then at least I would get a choice in the matter. Nobody is more qualified to decide how to spend my hard earned money then myself, yet I will be imprisoned if I resist the theft of a large fraction of my earnings, which will then be spent in ways that I have practically no influence on.
