I wish to know something. One of my friends told me , that full blooded rotts were born without a tail, and i told him that they have to their tails cut off when newborn or maybe i guess i don't know for sure any answers??

@elmasfr3gon1 i've never seen one born without a tail. they get cut off when the pups are young. i'm not sure why though. if any are born without tails, then that's a new rotty breed or a deformity.

I know some people on this page have a rather negative idea of rottweilers. But the thing is i have always had a rottweiler. One was my bestfriend when I was a baby. The other day I had a couple friends come over. My dog was so happy to see them, wagging his tail and giving them kisses. They asked what kind of dog he was and I said rottweiler. They then said "wow so they are actually nice." You see as with every breed, it depends on the master not the dog.

Rottweiler is the 9th most intelligent dog breeds right after the Doverman. Rotties are sooo nice and not dangerous if you train them well. I could train a yorkshire terrier to beat the crap out of a calm labrador and he would too. Its not the breed, its what you teach them to do. Thats how babys grow up and thats how dogs are trained.

I have had the privilidge of sharing my home with Rotties for the last 25 years. Even tempered, lovable and energetic. I've yet to have one exhibit hostility or anger to anyone authorized to be on our property. If ANY dog isn't trained properly, or is mistreated, you better be prepared to deal with behavior issues. We consider anything other than a Rottweiler to be nothing more than a rottweiler treat or toy. Love my Rotties.
