However if we wanted to adopt a full Keynesian economic model to try to "stimulate" the economy out of recession, then WHY didn't we use all that money for massive public works projects such as dams, bridges, widening highways, etc, and put people to work building something of value. These people could then have jobs to actually pay rent, and in return, America would have new infrastructure that would pay dividends for decades.
