  • Hey C2Builder, thanks for the informative video on the MP5 (as well as all your other vids), nice to see a closeup of the various components of this weapon. I was wondering, I noticed the Picattiny (I'm assuming it's Picatinny) rail mounted on the weapon. Has H&K manufactured any MP5's with the Picatinny rail or is this usually an aftermarket accessory?

  • @Schone23666 It's aftermarket. H&K does make a clamp on scope mount but its for thier own scope, others will not fit.

    Thanks for watching.

  • The best weapons come from Germany. =)

  • @KnuffChatTV not necessarily :P, many countries have well built and/or legendary weapons

  • pretty nice set up

  • Always wanted an MP5-K but all the MP5's and MP5-K's around here are damn .22s, I want a 9mm lol

  • hi I have a MP5 pistol semi auto what ATF form I need to fill up to add a stock ??? thank you

  • @Juan777fl You need to send BATF a $200 check with a ATF Form 1. Once you get that back approved you can add the stock. Simple.

  • Excellent review!

  • Wonder how much this cost him haha!

  • what is the difference between this and the new ump 9mm? which is better and why?

  • Your suppose to stow that pin in the stock troop!! Hahha, jk, great vid.

  • You make dis assembly and reassembly look like a walk in the park LOL

Great Video. May I ask where you got your MP5 at ?

  • @REPTILEGECKO ebay. j/k you need a class 3 license for it i think and they cost a bomb cus i dont think they're allowed to be manufactured anymore for civilians-ie there is a limited number available.

  • @C2builder I have a CCW inf Florida Can i own one of these or do i need extra paper work

  • @GMELECTRONICS365 CCW has nothing to do with owning a full-auto. All NFA items (machine guns, suppressors, SBR, SBS, etc.) will need to be registered (called a transfer) for anyone to own one. Even Class 3 dealers have NFA items rtansfered into their name with ATF. However, some States do not allow NFA at all no matter what. Check with your State for local laws reguarding NFA but I'm pretty sure Florida allows individual ownership.

  • @C2builder Thanks for that information.

  • Just one thing. You say that the rollers on the bolt are the same as the MG42. Actually its a different system, actually carried over from the MG42V / MG45 prototypes. Thats roller delayed vs. roller locked. But I guess you were just simplifying things.

Very nice video, very interesting to see what these designers came up with.

  • @Viersbovsky he owns one you do not. i believe him more.

  • Good video! You look like Mario a bit...lol!

  • Why do they use curved mags not straight?

  • @tfoshohoe those curved mags are called banana mags :3 there used to conserve space when being moved around

  • Somethings always confused me, I've never touched an MP5, which is probably why I have this question. To my understanding, the MP5 is roller-delayed blowback, so why is the upper-tube-thing connected to the barrel? It looks like a ratcheting charging gas tube, but I'm probably wrong. So what the hell is that lol?

  • @DeusMalleus Yes, it does look like a gas tube but it holds the cocking handle and simply pushes the bolt back to charge the weapon.

  • @C2builder Any idea when the MP5/10s were originally made available? I thought they were Post-86, but I don't know.

  • @TheMrCaddyshack The mp5/10 came out in 1992 but was only available direct thru H&K, only law enforcement could order them.

  • excellent job, detailing the breakdown, you should be a school teacher with the MP5..

  • C2Builder.....? do you like German guns? It seems like you have very un-Biast reviews and usually people hate on German weapons for some reason. I love all your videos especially your mg-42 ones, those are the best!! :D

    You're the man!

  • @Howie262 I love all weapons even the ugly ones, but I mostly love World War history and the weapons used during the wars. The MG42 is my favorite belt-fed gun and while I feel most German made guns are beauitifully designed and engineered the are too well made for war time abuse. I have built more German weapons than any other out there because they are so well crafted.

  • @C2builder wow! im so honored you replied ! i always recommend you to friends to subscribe to your channel.

    thanks again!

  • Just wanted to ask a quick question. on some models of MP5s, especially the A4 A5s, there's bent piece of metal just above the left side of the mag well. It looks like a flat metal hook or something. I never knew what that thing was for.

    Thanks!

  • @picure That hook is exactly that, a hook for the quick release sling made just for the H&K Mp5. It's pretty complicated as far as slings go and you almost need a manual on all the functions it has.

  • @C2builder Awesome man! Thanks alot for that info. I really dig your videos man. Very clear and understandable.

    Thanks!

  • 1 thing you might have also mentioned was during reassembly if the rear takedown pin does not just simply drop in like it did for you, it is misaligned, DO NOT FORCE IT.

i'm not a licensed c2 builder like you but i have been an ffl and i build guns from kits and from scratch and been gunsmithing for over 20 years and i have seen at least 10 h&k rifles with the rear takedown hole portion of the reciever broken off because the operator used a hammer to force in the pin.

  • are mp5s more reliable compared to the ar 15s, i kinda like it for home defense compared to a 9mm pistol and a 5.56 ar. 30 rds, collapsible butt stock red dots laser and light a more controlable recoil even i think on 40 or 10mm, what do you think. is mp5s sfety mechanisms and feature as sophisticated as those on modern pistol( sig p226, hkusp, ) or as primitive as the ar( i think ars safety are so primitive compared to modern pistol, is that true?)

  • @jcadag1 Seeing that the H&K MP5 shoots from the closed bolt position and has a safety switch similar to any semi-auto pistol I think the MP5 is perfect for home defense, yes even in 10mm or 40 cal they are controlable and accurate.

  • No one told me dr. Phil was into guns!!! wtf guys.. COME ON!!

  • i'm not a gun enthusiast, but this is a very entertaining video. Is there a "gun channel"? similar to food network, but all about guns?

  • how much is this gun?

  • @alex1zxz20101 A legally transferable MP-5 here in the USA is around $12,000US.

  • @C2builder Why so pricey?

  • @Post1036 because there are a limited number of them. you can only get full auto mp5s made before 1986. if you want a full auto gun, get a mac 10 or mac 11. they are only around 3000 for a transferrable one.

  • Dear santa

  • ohhhh yeaaaaa

  • How much does this weapon cost?

  • @airsoftgunner47 Legal gun broker any where from $3-10k in miami Miguelito from the pharmacy can get you one for a grand LOL.

  • I'll trade you for my girlfriend

  • @baltzellb Hmmmm....send me some pictures? LOL.

  • to have one full auto MP5 I need to have Class 3 weapon permit ?????????

  • Outstanding video. You took down and reassembled that weapon like lightning.

  • Very nice vid. Kudos.

  • thank you soooo much for this video!!! the only other video on fieldstripping an HK MP5 is in some other language which i don't understand. Thanks again!

p.s i also have a MP5A2 (made in POF under license of HK) and i wanted to ask you about that optic on top of your gun. Which one is it and is it really helpful?? Cause i'm really good with my iron sights and i'll most probably use the gun indoors (God forbid if i ever have to use it) but is the reflex sight really useful or what? Please reply

  • @gunmaster1119 Thanks! The reflex sight on mine is BSA and I highly recommend this type sight for quick target accuisition in any light condition. Many SWAT teams here in the USA added these type sights for low light conditions when doing house or room clearing. I don't believe you have to spend alot of money on high-tech top of the line stuff like some guys that do reviews do, if it works good for you thats all that counts and I don't need to impress anyone with a fancy labeled product.

  • @C2builder thanks for replying so quickly :) Could you please do me a favor and give me a link of the exact same BSA reflex sight your using like from opticsplanet, etc. Also, is there any other tactical flashlight available for the MP5 apart from the surefire 628 (cuz that's too expensive for me and i dont think its worth the money) Like are there any mounts which can fit the gun without buying an expensive RIS. Thanks in advance!

    -gunmaster1119

  • @gunmaster1119

Since when the POF has started marketing automatic weopens such as mp5 for general public, if you have any information plz do let me know

    Thanks

  • Wasn't the Mp5 also available in .357?

  • @McMike321 .357 is 9mm in inches instead of metric (.357 inches = 9 milimeters). If you are referring to a .357 magnum, I highly doubt any MP5 was ever chambered for it, as it is a rimmed round intended for use with revolvers. Hope that helps.

  • Can you do a field strip and explanation of the G3? Thanks

  • @fsvaio

    Its almost exactly the same.

  • The "firing pin holder" is actually the Locking Piece. The two holes in the butt stock are a carry-over from the G3, which uses two push pins for the rear stock. That is to keep you from losing the pins. Use them. If you're using a retractable stock, put the pin in the stock attachment hole/s.

  • Why is there only 3000 views? should be more

  • Vert nice!

  • the stg44also had the swing lower if you noticed, so i think the H&k designers copied that

  • can u do a vid on the

PGW Timberwolf C14 MRSWS Medium Range Snipers Weapon System (Canada) ?

  • $6000US

  • where and when did you get it?

  • @magoo161, it was a Police Department trade-in for some M16's I built for them.

  • @C2builder Damn you have some fun toys!!

  • How much was this MP5?

  • Awesome! I wish I could have gotten a closer look at the bolt system, especially during reassembly. However, still great info!

Do you have any videos talking about the delayed blowback system? I know the block back, gas operated, piston, and "bang", but not the delayed blow back. Anything? :D

  • How do you remove the barrel from the Mp5? I take it that it can't be done by hand

  • It's pressed in and pinned. Not impossible to remove, just really hard.

  • Can it be done with a hand punch? Or is a dedicated machine necessary?

(As is the case with the Walther PPK barrel)

  • there is a mp5 here in ohio that my mom is getting my for xmas thats only $550 at gander mtn. im not sure if its full auto but its still an mp5...thanks for the video

  • I can pretty much guarantee you it's not full-auto.

  • Yeah.. USA tax generally makes hunks of metal like sterling gun into half someone's yearly wage packet. Nasty stuff, but the USA makes shitloads of cash through import taxation

  • How does the mp5 bolt back down? Does the recoil push the bolt back? I allways thought the mp5 was a gas-pistion gun. But anyway, nice video and keep them coming.

  • The delay blowback system results is the amount of time it takes for recoil energy to be transferred through to the bolt carrier and for it to be driven to the rear against the force of the bolt carrier and the forward pressure exerted against the bolt by the recoil spring. As the rollers are forced inward, they release the locking piece and propel the bolt carrier to the rear. A lot of people think the cocking tube is a gas tube. Good questions.

  • Great job, very informative indeed!

  • Nice vid! Informative and enjoyable! =)

  • Great video, very informative. How much would that gun cost brand new for a civilian with the proper paperwork?

  • Cost for the MP5A2 is between $15K - $18K dollars US.

  • i really like the mp5

  • i wish i had one :(

  • Great Sub-Machine gun proven itself time after time... Good video man

  • Five Stars!!

  • i jst hav a question(it may be a stupid one) but where do you get all the different guns and accessories for these videos? (ie. most guns take special permits to own which equals big money)

  • It doesn't take special permits if you are a NFA firearms manufacturer, with which we are. Yes, money sometimes is needed but we can also build as many as we need (or want).

  • thank you for replying and my God i would love to have the resources you do. For awhile i've wanted that to be my job in the end and i've asked about what qualifications are needed to do something like what you do, you think you could enlighten me o' Jedi master? lol

  • Getting a FFL license is not that big of a deal. Getting the OK from ATF for dealing in machine guns is a bit more complicated other than just paying for the special tax status. ATF now pressures new MG dealers to comply with lots of enviromental, state and county regulations that were overlooked before on applicants. Do a online search for "NFA Dealer license". Thanks.

  • how did you get all these army issuse guns ?!?!?!

  • See the answer posted above.

  • i had never seen this gun with the straight magazine at 3:46, is the only difference the shape?

  • Yes, other than the shape the mags are the same. No, the internal mag spring is not interchangeable because of the shape.

  • Thanks a bunch for the dis-assembly.

    Very informative.

  • Aah this one I really like.

I've shot it several times in full auto and it's a dream to shoot.

    Wish I could get one.

    Lucky you C2.

  • Firing video?

  • There are tons of other MP5 videos shooting, but if I get a chance I will post one.
