It's a second generation Glock, and the material defect was 1100 rounds without cleaning, due to being busy and forgetting. I've seen torture tests done on many arms, and most but the cheapest piles fare well. The Walther is a fine German weapon that at the time had features that I guess Glock finally caught up with.
I don't care for plastic guns as much as real metal such as a 1911, or P-229. I do respect them, I just prefer the heft.
I currently am using a SIG P-229, I like the single/double action much better, and it is a smooth operator as both the Glock, and the Walther. I like that it has an old fashioned metal frame. Also it fits my hand just right. Unfortunately for me I have to have the perfect fit due to a broken wrist that never healed correctly. Motorcycles hurt!! lol
Fit is important, quality is important, and it seems that German, Austrian, and Swiss handguns top the scene. Still nothing beats the 1911. Go USA
If that's a 4th Generation Glock than it has a chambered indicator...the extractor will stick out a bit. Btw it's a Glock, the only reason it jammed is because you limp wristed the gun or there's a material defect. There are 1000rd no jam Glock shooting sessions here on Youtube. One guy buries his Glock in his backyard for 2 years than fires 500rds without a problem.I personally went about 4-5 shooting sessions to see how mine would fare...put about 1000rds total without cleaning. Still was fine.
Cool video Jer, nice Glock. Hope you and you'rs have a great time in PI, drink lots of Sam Miguel and eat well. Take lots of pictures and most of all don't waste a minute having fun. It goes by too fast. Get an aisle seat and not next to the restroom on the plane, lol. TC
