You're confusing population genetics with individual genetics. In terms of individual genetics, recessive means an unexpressed trait.

So, since Big Boss's traits make him a superior soldier, ie those traits which are expressed (dominant), it stands to reason that the unexpressed (recessive) traits are, in this context, inferior.

Thats true...I think of it this way: Liquid, the dominant one, was moved to the UK and got into the SAS at Zero's request (being a proud Brit and former SAS soldier, he mustv wanted to see what a British Big Boss would be like without any recessive genes). He got Big Boss's properties both as a special forces soldier AND as a leader, and a hair style similar to EVAs. Solid Snake only inherited Big Boss's Naked Snake 'persona' as a result of getting rcessive genes.

Blonde hair is a recessive trait(so Liquid has the recessive pheno type). And if a person has both, only the dominant will be expressed, so their's really no diffrence what so ever between Big Boss and the domiant carrier.

Dominant and recessive pheno types are just "names". The dominant pheno type is just a name(ít's not stronger in any way). The recessive pheno type is not weaker in any way.
