@smallblockman The new generation Chevy small block engines you see in today's modern Camaro and Corvette are based on Ford designs.The old Chevy small block is no different for a small block Chrysler.They both use the same firing order. They both use Siamese intake and exhaust ports.Rear distributor design (cam twisters) They are the same engines in different casings.Your Pro stock engine in modern day has nothing to do with the Chevy big block.They are all ford spec big blocks.

But why would anyone install a GM motor in a FORD. IMO if you can build a car with the same brand as the motor, Then that person doesn't know what they're doing and going the easy route with building a faster car.

@crislt1 The south is FORD country. The small block FORD was always a superior engine to Chevy. The 289 off stock block and stock heads has broken into the 9's. Don't ever compare the 2 engines.
