The car looks nice! I just don't understand all those guys who make the first start without exhaust. So you didn't hear if something goes wrong. With exhaust you may got the chance to stop the engine before something is damaged.
Yes, it wasn't simple. First, the engine was the one from an 164... And to adapt this engine and ELECTRONIX IGNITION SYSTEM to the 75's original electrics including gauges, etc... And to fit this engine to 75 mechanics... It was overkill. But hey! It worths every penny! The car turned really to a beast.
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree!

Cred si eu... pai asta era visul meu de 9 ani, sa am un 75 si sa ii trantesc un monstru V6 de minim 3000cmc... Suspensii sport, 32mm garda la sol, ce sa mai zic... scandura pe rulmenti...
131 este visul meu de cand m-am nascut :D , in 91 cand implinisem un an isi luase si tata permisul si luase acel 131 1.6 TC , prin cate a trecut masina aia... greu de spus , gheata in motor iarna si a pornit a mers nu a crapat blocu... ramasese cu ea pe gheata nu mai stiu unde eram foarte mic eu si a spart gheata de sub ea si a plecat asa , au ramas toti oamenii care erau acolo gura casca , nu stiau cum de mai merge , cazuse cu totu pe gheata se lovise la cardan.... ps avea cardan de iveco :))
cu 600-le am un topic si pe forum la alfa , la grupul fiat :D , momentan ma asteapta in parcare linistit , am ramas masca si eu si tata la filmuletul asta , rar o asa masina , o masina care merita numai laude si tu la fel pentru munca depusa :)

aaa , cand ai sau ma rog , daca ai timp mi-ar placea sa-ti vad si eu masina :D ca mor dupa ea :D , in caz ca vrei sa-mi vezi 600-le e nepornit de 2 ani de zile si asteapta o pornire cat de curand deci nu se poate deplasa :( si ma rog nici daca era pornita ca tre sa-i refac toate actele...
I bought an 3.0 V6 24v from an damaged 164, I completely dissasembled the engine and to change all the gaskets, all the seals (valve, camshaft, oil pump seals), all the half-bearings, and the engine is running soooo smooooth,the oil pressure is over 5,5bar :D
Unfortunately, because I was so unpatient to hear the engine and not mounting the axle, I broken the flywheel.
My bad ass...
I'm looking for a flywheel... If anyone knows where I can buy an flywheel, post here!

axle joint???
what do you call axle joint? Part of the transmission right?
Piece connecting the crankshaft to the axle since the gearbox is a the back?

I call "axle joint" the rubber coupling that connects the two parts of the transaxle.
And Yes, when I will finish the entire car repair, I will post a movie!
