This is SO hypocritical! If u r really so concerned for the animals beings slaughtered by the thousands everyday in this country, u wouldn't participate in the meat/death industry at all. And yes I m a vegetarian.
The next time you open your mouth to eat an egg or a burger, think about what is happening to the animals who provide this for us. I'm not a vegetarian or an animal-rights nut, but we're talking MINIMUM humane standards here--enough room to turn around, no hideous cruelty. People scream about the cost, but do you KNOW how much profit these factory farms make, and how little the cost will actually be to make things just a LITTLE bit better? Get the facts, vote YES on Prop 2. Bravo, Dr. Hurley.
wow, that comercial entirly over exaggeratted the harsh conditions of animals, secondly it would put some business owners out of a job because they couldn't pay to change the caging network, for those who could it would take thousands of dollars and a huge amount of effort, it would drive the cost of meat, eggs and milk way up. And w/ our economy how it is right now, this is definitely a bad decision.
I have news for you, that is how farm animals are treated. Just look at documentaries. And not everyone thinks th way you do, some think animals don't need to be treated that harshly. It's not about not eating meat, it's about giving these animals dignity before they die.
What's wrong with effort? Maybe this country needs to put more effort into things. Rather then take the easy road which hurts more people in the long run. The country needs to consider long term not short term.
yes on prop 2 means that chickens dont get to run around on a farmland and have nice music playing. it means bigger cages for these animals. doesn't mean freedom but means bigger cages so these animals can turn around. that would mean farmers across the country having to spend thousands on cages for these chickens. and plus were talking about more room for these animals not getting hit by forklifts
Voting yes on Prop 2 is a smart choice. It will (1) make life for farm animals much more humane; (2) increase food safety; and (3) help small business farmers. Vote Yes! and make a huge difference in the lives of millions of farm animals.
After seeing this shit i've decided to turn vegitarian. This makes me sick. Poor animals. I think the farmers should be caged and see what its like for those poor animals. I'm voting yes on prop 2. I hope america does the same
Ok wtf ... was the fork lift moving the cow really necessary, thats just bs. i say run that asshole over with a forklift and let chickens crap on his head
I don't get how it's taken this long for it to be stopped (Hopefully.) I think anyone who doesn't care just doens't have a heart, they can't have a heart if they don't care.
Amazing - The CVMA is run by small animal vets that have no interest in food animal production. The large animal vets oppose Prop.2 because they deal with the species everyday. UC Davis vet classes average less than 10% large/food animal vets per class because they actually have to work to make a living. The AVMA is opposed to Prop. 2.
the video distorts the meaning of prop 2. prop 2 makes farm owners make enough room for animals to be able to have enough room to lay stretch. stuff like that. I speak for the dairy industry and they do a fantastic job of doing that now. prop 2 is pointless for cattle. this vid distorts by showing animal cruelty by physical abuse. running over an animal with a forklift and an animal not having enough laying down room are two different issues and should not be combined to make a selling point.
The truth is they are physically abused becuase they aren't shown as anything but product or food. They aren't given a care, they are moved with forklifts, chickens and chicks beaks are broken off. This video didn't distort anything. It's just close minded people not giving a shit.
