@WinchesterHerps Cool, are you getting a new one? Those 2012 650rs look good. Log on at my RiderGroups site and send me a friend request. We can get together sometime and ride. I will be at the Dallas International Motorcycle Show doing some demo rides in a couple of weeks.
Very nice :). The fact that you spent 22 hours riding in a few days leads me to believe the 650r is a worth while bike, I hope I can gather enough money to get my own soon.
I don't know how you did 22 hours, I can't do more than about 2 hours at a time on my 650R, my butt and wrists start hurting too much by then and I just want to get off the bike!
How is the comfort of the Ninja on that long of a trip? I've been looking at cruisers, but I just prefer the styling and performance of the Ninja, so I'm torn on what to get.
Nice vid! i was actually curious about touring on a ninja bike, were you uncomfortable at all? im new to biking and not sure what "posture" would be most comfortable in long term rides.
@kevinmorris22 My buddy got a little of me chasing a ducati on the parkway but the weather was pretty bad with such poor visibility at high altitudes the vid is hard to see anything but our tail lights. Planning a iron saddle when the season comes back im sure we will get some good vid. Great video! I like when people understand what these bikes were designed for.
I like your rear bag. Is it made for that bike? Would you mind telling me what brand and model it is? It looks like it held up well on your trip. Your trip looked great. I hope to do the same here soon. Sping is coming.
Awesome, nice trip :) I am hoping I will do as well with the mpg like you did... being 170lbs and 5'9" I think I am going to like this bike, Nice video, a pleasure to watch.
haha the first part of the vid hahahah you idiot.....
I only just got my l's and my parents and me are taking a trip to Tasmania from NSW, my dad owns a BMW R1200 gs and own a Kawasaki 250 GPX, never gone on a trip that big but was looking for some good tips to make it a bit more comfortable while im away. Have you got any good suggestions?
awesome video, 22 hrs!!! to day i drove 220 miles and my ass was killing me, and thats not even close to your distance! btw hiking shoes? yes they keep your feet dry and warm and dont annoy your toes when shifting gears in long trips.
Wow im happy for you!! Im getting this bike too, i was wondering if i could do some touring with it, montreal to new-york about 400 miles, with that vid it makes me more comftable!
Have you upgraded the stock grips? I find the stock rubber grips to be a bit rough on my palms, causing pressure points where there shouldn't be any. Any recommendations?
The 650R is the definition of "sport touring", IMO.
Wonderful motorcycle! I just bought a 2009 650R, and I hope to take it on a nice little road trip after the initial break-in period. I don't like getting on the freeway too much during this time; or, at least until I hit 500 miles or so. Keeping it around 4,000 RPM most of the time SUCKS!
Anyone know the song name.

I have a 2008 650r ninja, I wanted to change the fenders and dash to the 2009+'s models. Would it be a direct bolt on swap? Or will this not work...
