I live in the same town as Dickey. Just saw him play a rehearsal gig for his upcoming tour. He is in sad shape. No teeth and weighs about 90 pounds. He would talk in between songs and who to this day knows what he was saying. My favorite Allman songs are all by Dickey, but he couldn't keep up with this.

i SAW DICKEY IN THE BEGGENING OF MARCH AND HE WAS EXCELLENT! Not messing a beat. Every show i have seen him in he was fantastic. Also he has gained a hell of alot of speed. Go dickey!

Dickey wrote some of their best know stuff; how could they not play them? Just not the same without him..........

I have to agree, Dickey definitely added something to the band with his country influence. Don't get me wrong, Warren and Derek are both STELLAR guitarists, but I would love to see Dickey back with them. At least there is a chance of a small reunion if he does show up for this Beacon run.

I know, I agree, man. They completely alienated the guy - and yes, we all know why and it was necessary, I guess - but jeez, at least leave the guy his tunes!
