  • 12 people have no souls..

  • I watched Rondo the other night come back on the court and it reminded me of this. Bless you Derek Redmond! You are a true inspiration!

  • Guy lost a race. Clue; it happens in every race. If there are 10 guys in the race, 9 guys LOSE. Every time. Happens all of the time. SO WHAT?

  • @TheLakemann .... Its not about losing you eejit, its triumph!!! You have never had it, going by your usless message.

  • Great video...up until the part where you put your fictional God in place of the very real fighting Human spirit.

  • you keep those shitty beliefs , see how far you get. NOWHERE!

  • "I believe the work of God is at issue"

  • this is about having a strong human character and the desire to never give up. This has nothing whatsoever to do with god or faith. God didnt get up and start running again or guide him towards the finnish line.Derek Redmond did that all by himself because he had worked his whole life for that moment.

  • @domenicoscot form Albert Eistein: “There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.” There are resolutions of things attributed to higher power, even Mr. Einstein recognized that.

  • @domenicoscot “There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.” quoted from Albert Eistein, Even Mr. Eistein recognized that certain resolution can only be attained thru belief in a greater power. How sad and pathetic life would be if the human race continually worry that no higher authority is on control of the planetary system in this vast universe.

  • @domenicoscot are you some sort of an atheist or agnostic?

  • You can follow Derek Redmond on Twitter (Derek_Redmond) and see him talking about this race on the ParliamentSpeakers channel.

  • that is amazing video ! must it see more than 132 000 ppl

  • @Extraleague thank you...

  • i was seen this video with tears.....

  • @joshuajeyam1 truly is inspirational...

  • C'est très touchant de voir la détermination que peut avoir un homme et l'amour que peut avoir un père. Au fait, c'est quoi le rapport de Dieu dans tout ça ? o_O

  • Heart determination to finish the race I say, he kept pushing no matter how much heart broken he lost that day. As he limped around the track, his father came waving to the medic to please get back..the son was in tears and in so much pain, the world will never forget the father and son 92 Olympic games. Never quit no matter what you do, this is an example of determination to follow through. They are winners in my book, I'm proud to say, It just a reminder, to always finish & never quit noway!

  • @Dan4USCTroy That's the beauty of a well-trained attributes....

  • great vid! song's a good swap too.. :) btw juz want to point out that the scripture verse is from the book of 2 Tim not 1 Tim. :)

  • @sharonpst yes thank you very much for your reminder :)

  • Thanks

  • I dont evn knw d participants of 1992 Barcelona Olympics, now I knw Derek Redmond and I say gonna remember him rest of my life.

  • thank you Derek....

  • who sings this song and the title please

  • @MrRjamaro sorry i got to reply only now...everything is stated on the info just below the vid. simply click the drop down button...

  • can't anyone post a fucking video without removing the original audio and adding some god damned stupid fucking song!!!

  • fuck the video.. you made me cry..:) thanks to you.. you made believe that optimism is still evident nowadys..:)

  • Thank you Lord for never leaving me alone in this cold world! This video is bigger than a natural father helping his son during a tumultous moment, it is similar to my Heavenly Father being with me everywhere I go. I cannot imagine life without Jesus Christ! Thank you Lord for caring enough about me to send your only Son to die and live for me. For that, I will forever love and live for you!

  • @Destined4Greatness81 that's the whole concept of this vid and you simply target it to its core. God bless you...

  • Hebrews 12:1-2

  • The BEST!!! Period.

  • If anything has ever touched me, this did! Thank you Gary Karnegy for the inspiration to fight for a spot and to commit for my cause and fight. I am thankful for the people God has placed back in my life to bring me to your office and become a part of something so powerful and lifting. We can do it!!! Love you Simone and Herbert Morris!!!

  • @ PatsBlog: This still doesn't impress. I've torn my hamstring, and hobbled on to end my "run" (mostly because that was where the car was). So? So he had a desire to finish ... Great. I agree that this shows a certain "sticktuitiveness," I don't think this is particularly "amazing", especially given that his dad helped him.It is, in retrospect, quite ordinary (other than the witnesses). I have seen far, far greater examples during my 20 plus years in the mililtary.

  • @heavydpj I run and every time I want to quit I think of this. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and this impressed me. Guts this man had.

  • @heavydpj Word. Try running blind with blood and shrap in your hammy.

  • @heavydpj well not everybody is in the military. so for ordinary people like us, this vid never fails to amaze. It is really a narrow perception when we try to fit everybody in the same mold. God's love is centered on our individual uniqueness. I love ice cream but i know one who doesn't. i like my coffee really sweet but i know lots who order theirs without sugar. We were simply not there to witness the extraordinary on your field, because we have chosen to be somewhere else.

  • @heavydpj And so what's your point? Maybe you didn't understand the video. It wasn't just about Derek Redmond, per se. It was an analogy about the love of God toward humanity. I'm sure you have seen great examples in your military service. The author probably didn't have access to your film library for the project, though. In any case, it wasn't a video about Mr. Redmond's "sticktuitiveness" it was about a father who loved his son, saw him in agony, and wanted to help.

  • Aw man, this was real motivational untill the twist at the end. Any energy you call on when the going gets tough was already there inside of you. No magical man in the clouds gave you strength, you had it all along. If everyone knew that they had such strength in them without "god", they wouldnt be so taken advantage of by men scary them with this witchcraft voodoo bs.

  • @moojuiceman this vid was intended as a typology of God's love I guess you must have misunderstood the position of this vid. Why do you harbor so much hate? It's wrong for your system. Psychological well-being equates happiness, Stop hating man and try as much to be happy. It won't not take up that much strength or even voodooism and you'll see the world in a whole new perspective.

  • @moojuiceman

Bro , your a fucking joker. How dare you! God will have you. At the gates, St Peter will point you in the other direction.

  • @relder1100 I love that. Trying to instill fear into non believers. You fail to understand what a non believer is.

Even if God welcomed me in, I'd tell him to go fuck himself. I don't want to spend eternity with a sadistic puzzle maker.

Good thing I won't have to. You neither. After you die, you'll be no more.

  • @skydark Just because you believe a thing doesn't make it true either. What you believe about death is your belief, just as what I believe is based upon faith. If my God spoke to you, you would be looking for a rock to hide under. You wouldn't be cursing Him.

  • @PatsBlog Good thing about fictional characters is that they don't really talk to you. They just play their part in the fiction and then stay silent forever. If you are hearing your "God", I strongly advise you seek medical care, because you may have a serious mental problem.

I don't need empirical evidence that unicorns don't exist and that they are in fact, in their entirety, human made fiction. In the same way,I don't need to prove the non-existence of your God. Fictional until proven otherwise.

  • @relder1100 Unless of course the muslims, jews, hindi, budists or one of the other thousands of religions are right, and you are wrong. Bra, you're the joker. get a grip. you live in a tiiiiiny little bubble. You arent special. No magic invisible thing loves you to infinity. you are simply whatever you have decided to become in this world. To believe its true, is so selfish and ignorant there will be a word for it (you) someday.

  • A friend just sent me this video. I am grateful he did so. I have just walked 2 miles home from church, with a torn ligament in my ankle. I have not had health insurance in the USA for several years due to the recession. 10 days ago I got a new job with health insurance. I walked in pain for one year now. Now this video helps me know why.

  • rickbangkok, you walked in pain because you allowed men to get the best of you. Men who get money from you for their church, ;and men who got money from you for their war, yacht, and hookers. Wake up and smell the slime.

  • @moojuiceman While I shared my experience in relation to what I saw in the video my friend, you have no idea about it in depth to make that comment that you have. Try commenting directly on the video with your own experience, rather than speculating.

  • @rickbangkok I'll comment on whatever i damn well please. I'm clear that your situation is no different than anyone else subdued by religion. Your'e a slave, and not a very bright one if your walking miles on a torn anything. Isn't it suspicious that the religious right can spend billions on keeping you religious but cant fix your ankle, or help you be happy and successful. It dosnt equate. Don't be a chump. Your'e cattle.

  • @moojuiceman sweetheart I am not part of the religious right. You are just a nasty bastard. I will pray for you.

  • @rickbangkok Now now, you dont have to get all passive agressive. I'm not so nasty, im just a realist. It's a nasty world, and you'll sit and spin if you try to deny it with fairy tales. Don't bother praying for though, your "hope" and "faith" are as empty as masturbation.

  • @rickbangkok oh yeah!!! haha...some are born mere speculators indeed. It's like attacking the enemies camp without strategizing. If they do believe they're taking the stand as 'intellectuals', the should be reminded that their scope of reading should also be vast. Even Albert Einstein believed in God. God bless you friend for coming in defense of our Lord and savior...

  • Very inspiring video. It gave me encouragement at the right moment. Thanks for posting.

  • Bad choice of background music

  • This is one of the most memorable and truly touching moments to have ever been captured! I was only a 9 year old kid when this happened and I vividly remember it but just watching this nearly put me in tears. To see that a man was in pain and wanted to finish shows heart and desire.

  • @all :: Hi dude, i would lik to add ma views here.. Though, d lives of al d living being ultimately depends upon d 3 word 'GOD', its spelled often only to creat d sprit and trust and confidence inside our soul. I do believ in GOD. Bt every1 s espectd to do their works upto their ability and d results purely depends upon wat v did and GOD jus evaluates us, upon d work v did for tat job. Dis video truly visualises d relation b/w human beings. Salute to al humans wit love...!!!

  • @spotdinesh, while your message isnt so bad, your illiterate gangster talk makes your view olmost obsolete.

  • Comment removed

  • So he cheated in order to finish. How is this an example?

  • @heavydpj I think you missed the point. Cheated? I don't think whether he crossed the line or not had any bearing on his standings in the league. The judges and officials were watching. The issue here is that he had a desire to finish, no matter how much pain he was in. And his father had a great concern and care for his son. Doesn't touch your heart? Still in a quandary? Check out the 60,000+ in the stands on their feet cheering. They got it.

  • @PatsBlog Yeah some people do miss the spot. nobody judged the guy with cheating except heavydpj haha.

  • God Bless the people who help us when we r in need

  • God Bless the peolple who help us when we r in need

  • Thanks so much for this realy and amazing Video.

    Regards from Germany

    Ertül Ekren

    monavieworldwide.de

  • @monaviegermany thank you....

  • it was all ok up until the moment you mentioned god for fucks sake.

  • @Ganjamule Now here is the perfect example of the intolerance of supposedly "enlightened" people. Someone posts something that inspires them on their OWN channel. They didn't go to your channel trying to convert you. You come by, view it, and lend your vulgar, disparaging remark. So, what now everyone has to bow to your beliefs? How does this person's belief hurt you? Are you just a walking argument or what? Why don't you grow up and act like a civilized adult?

  • @PatsBlog they are trying convince that they are not just enlightened but also among the upper crust intellectuality. But i have yet to meet a real intellectual who can dispute the presence our belief in God. That's ok friend at least God knows on whose side you are.

  • @xsoul117 Keep up the good work, my friend. Someday EVERY knee will bow to the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings. It will be a terrifying day for those who have ignored and rebelled against God when they meet him face to face. I want to do all I can here to draw close to God and to see others come to a knowledge of the truth. Thank you again for an inspiring video.

  • @Ganjamule word.

  • I saw this video during our seminar in singapore the ASEAN+3 Seminar on Urban Youyh Work IV, IGROW Singapore showede this to us to gain inspiration in perseverance. . .

  • Proof of God's existence is all around us and within us, the intricate design of our bodies being one example. The majority of the scientific community teaches life originated by accident, from single cell organizisms to present configurations. If one takes this worldview to its logical conclusion then one has to conclude that life is meaningless; we have no purpose for we are all a cosmic accident. Derek Redmond, his father and the 65,000 cheering, weeping spectators did not believe that.

  • @P2K Well said. There are many scientists who believe in a Creator. Science and Faith are not mutually exclusive. Our educational system, well that is another story. Now you're getting into the politics of science...

    Another view:

“I think only an idiot can be an atheist. We must admit that there exists an incomprehensible power or force with limitless foresight and knowledge that started the whole universe going in the first place.”

----Christian Anfinsen- Nobel Laureate in chemistry

  • @Promses2Keep - um.. I dont think you speak for those spectators. Just because they supported his courage dost mean theyre ignorant to scientific fact. Dinasaurs 65 MILLION years ago. the world is not 1000 miles away from the sun, nor is it the center of the universe. And i will not stone you to death for eating a hamburger on good friday. The bible is waaay obsolete.

  • @moojuiceman No I don't speak for those spectators. I was using their reaction to the courageous act they witnessed to illustrate the idea that life DOES indeed have meaning, which is contrary to the belief that life is an accident. Belief in God does not make one ignorant of science; that idea is a stereotype. I simply do not accept every conclusion made by current mainstream scientists. Finally, some people have been saying the "Bible is obsolete" for centuries. Centuries.

  • @Promses2Keep Also, dinosaurs existing 65 million years ago is not a fact, its a theory; the idea that the Earth is 1000 miles from the sun and the center of the universe was taught by scientists of the day and finally being excecuted for eating meat on Good Friday is not taught by the Bible, for obvious reasons.

  • @Promses2Keep Um.. Science refutes god. Especially the biblical one. To believe the bible you must ignore MASSIVE amounts of fact. So ya. Your'e ignoring fact, not to mention all other religions in retrospect to yours. And I dont think your'e up to par with current mainstram science, whatever that means. The bible has been refuted for centuries because there have been educated thinkers for centuries. The argument Ad Populum dosnt mean god is real, it means there are more stupid people alive.

  • @moojuiceman You're using (badly) a form of rhetoric called, "poisoning the waters', to wit: "if a person believes in God they have to be stupid." If the illogic of that statement has to be pointed out to you then we can not have a serious debate. Also, you say one "must ignore MASSIVE amounts of fact" in order to belive the Bible. To that I can only ask you to provide one FACT, not theory.

  • @Promses2Keep It's "poisoning the well". And your'e way off, im clearely adressing the argument, not just the jesus freak himself. though i might ad attacking my person by suggesting im foolish by stating " If the illogic of that statement has to be pointed out to you then we can not have a serious debate." is poisoning the well. secondly heres a FACT that the bible is bs. At the alleged time of noahs story egypt china and india's culture was in full swing. and they didnt get flooded. nuff said.

  • @moojuiceman As far as attacking goes you were the one who began by saying if one believes in God and the Bible one must be stupid. "The bible is bs" is not a fact, it's your narrow opinion, and the Flood is a worldwide legend: in China the Hihking legend speaks of a man named Fuhi and his family, in India the story is around a man named Manu, and in Egypt the man who saves himself, his family and all the animals is called Toth. So much for your flimsy point. Next?

  • @Promses2Keep I'm not going to waste time looking up your myths, but when noah alegedly built a boat, no other civilizations report a flood. Why? Because its bullshit. History is fact. The bible is far from history. And the dinosaurs may not be 65 million years ago, but if the bible is correct, they are 6000 years old. Science has PROOVED otherwise. And history has superceded your petty legend. I'm not going to argue with you anymore. Your'e clearly a redneck or inbred or something. go watch fox

  • @moojuiceman The fact that you have to resort to name-calling while earlier lamenting my"attacking" YOU clearly shows your inability to engage in intellectual debate. You know neither science nor the Bible, for you've confused religious traditions with Bibical references that do not exist, you confuse facts with scientific theory and you ignore points contrary to your stated opinions. In this one thing you and I are in agreement: this IS a waste of time.

  • @moojuiceman I love it when people who know neither science NOR the Bible try to prove their non-faith to people. Let's just think logically about this for a moment. If all the other civilizations were wiped out, who was recording this history? Hmmm? And can you quote me from the Bible (let's use the KJV, an agreed upon English standard) the date of creation that's recorded there? Just curious where you're getting your info. This is great. Got to love Youtube...

  • @moojuiceman I'm sure you're smarter than any Nobel Laureate chemist, but I'll repost this for your benefit. Not ALL scientists are in agreement with YouTube scientists. I agree with you about the stupid people part, though.

“I think only an idiot can be an atheist. We must admit that there exists an incomprehensible power or force with limitless foresight and knowledge that started the whole universe going in the first place.”

----Christian Anfinsen- Nobel Laureate in chemistry

  • a salute for you!

  • GO ONJI!!!!!

  • GO ONJI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Just do it" is written on dad's cap, it really tells it all.. Derek is the man, and the video touches you..

  • @Emsiukas69 that hat was made by slave children.

  • Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up...

Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure...

I salute this man who has given the world an inspiration.. a reflection to oneself...

and I thank also the father who showed love and taught everyone to love...

This was really an inspiring video.....

  • @carlaragasajo Thank you...

  • @carlaragasajo God bless you for speaking the tongues of angels...how blessed are those whose heart and mind are focused on the truth...

  • The true essence of the Olympic Spirit!

  • Absolutely Beautiful!!!

  • OMG my tears won't stop falling! -- when i saw this video -- i was like "OMG why like this! " then my tears start falling! -- BIG FAN DEREK REDMOND! \m/ yOu rOck \m/ XD

  • Whats the title of the song?

  • It's "Angel Wings" sung by Marisa. This was an audio swap when the copyright owners of Josh Groban's song "You Raise Me Up" pulled out this song and threatened to confiscate my entire vid.

  • This make want to train every day to be better...

  • cried for such a long time.........

  • beautiful...

  • to all the ppl present at that time when this happened..when derek crossed tha finish line he finished in 1st place to every1 there..because not onli he showed true courage and spirit but determination to finish ihs goal..and in this pain it couldnt b ne better to have your father next to u holdin and supportin u all the way...respect for u guys

  • so .. it's makes me cry.

  • scary and Marisa - Angels Wings

  • Can anyone tell me the name and artist for this song???

  • This made me tear up.

  • thank you for this

  • You're welcome

  • ;( bow

  • he was at me skwl today i go the ockendon school

  • he was at my school today and he talked bout this

  • (speachless) That was so beautiful =)

  • How could i download this clip?

It is so beautifully made! Thank you for it.

  • Thank alos for your comment. A video converter would do the trick. Usually whenever I need video downloading from youtube I go to internet cafes. You could also substitute the audio with Josh Groban's You raise me up.

  • Derek finished the race through his on determination and strength. g-d had nothing to do with it im afraid

  • Sorry about the thumbs down...

  • No worries you are entitled to your own opinion just as much as i am my friend. I just feel like you have moulded what is a tremendous achievement into a "miracle". G-d may exist, but with all the suffering existing in the world i have yet to be found by him.

  • Hmmmm...the world turns it's back on God. We throw him out of our schools, homes, and hearts. Thumb our noses to him...tell him we don't need him. Then we wonder "Where is God?" He exists. But, how dilligently are any of us seeking him??? I pray for mercy for us ALL.

  • After watching this video, I went and bought the song. I believe it is "Angel's Wing" by East of Everything.

As for throwing him out of our schools, it's not that we are turning our back on God. It's that in our human pettiness, we lay claim to how He should be worshiped.

I ask that everyone leave the judgements to God, who, in his infinite wisdom and mercy, will better judge than any of us humans could ever hope to do.

  • God bless you sable ghost in all of God's infinite knowledge and wisdom He bestowed in you.

  • @sableghost Good Point...Thanks for a sobering reminder of the truest tenanant of all. All I meant is we should call "DAD" more than just on Holidays or when we need something.

  • @Mycynnme Indeed...:)

  • @Mycynnme Thank you for these words. Very serious.

  • also...the relationship between Father & children is a scared and Holy thing. Somewhere along the way we lost sight of that. This is why our children (& our world) suffer

  • oops..."sacred" BUT that can be sacry to any man who is SCARED to commit =)

  • "SCAREY"...darn, I'm tired(?)

  • why scared?

  • He finished first if u asked me

  • Truly...

  • to me he has won the race, true sportsman. God bless you

  • And God bless you too...

  • Comment removed

  • what a wonderfully inspiring video, what a shame such an effort had to to be attributed to God rather than derek himself, or his father for that matter. Quoting some bibal verse that becomes applicable in this context serves only as unneccesary religous propaganda.

  • This wasn't attributing anything on Derek's efforts to God, but was used as an allegory to the same love and support God has for us. Remember the one Bible verse about if a father would never give a poisonous snake to his child when they ask for food, how much more does your Heavenly Father love you. It is such a shame that you wish to relegate God to unnecessary propaganda. God is very necessary for everyone. May God bless you.

  • Thank you so very much for standing besides our God... There is no one greater than our Lord, no matter how others may try to belittle or discredit His greatness.

  • @xsoul117

    as apposed the their god?

  • God is most certainly not neccessary for everyone. Puting aside the fact that there is no more evidence for God's existence than there is for the existence of pixies and unicorns, a huge number of extremists use God's name to justify very evil things indeed. Faith is a virus and we do not take our morals from religion, or the bible. If we did, we'd still be stoning people to death for working on sundays. Point proved?

  • seeing as this comment was removed by the author, i feel the need to tell others, that it argued that 2 billion people as God's witnessess act as validity for his existence. I genuinely hope that such delusional rhetoric does not hold weight amongst the masses. Whilst such opinions may be heartfelt, they most certainly do not mean that they are true. As for whether the bible suggests we should stone people to death for working on the sabbath, dont take my word for it, just read leviticus!!!

  • you don`t need any religion to belive in god...so make yor coments in other parts.

this video shows that we must figth untill the end it makes me stronger when i see it

    great vid!

  • just watch the video...

  • @aaybtfw Of course, the inverse also applies. It's not false just because you say so. Or did you become God recently? If so, I didn't get the memo.

  • The bible should be read from the Old to the Present testament. Stoning was outlawed by the Christ himself when he declared that he who is without sin cast the first stone... it's found in the new testament. Including the fact that Jesus healed on a Sabbath, thereby earning the ire of the pharisees. We do not consider the bible from other people's view point and opinion, we should read it ourselves to avoid being misled.

  • @aay where then should we take our morals? funny how you identify evil but deny good, or its Source. if God is not necessary for you then respect those who do.

  • @xsoul117 Why doesn't the bible mention dinosaurs?

  • @Poultergeisst Why doesn't it mention Uranium? Or catfish? Or alligators? Or rhubarb? Or asparagus? What on Earth is your point? Are you trying to prove there's no God because the Bible doesn't mention dinosaurs? Okay, I have a little exercise for you. Go to the downtown area of the town where you live. Look at a car and answer this question: Accident or engineering. Then observe a tree, or a bird, or another human being and ask the same question. What do you think?

  • @aaybtfw

About the evidence of God. Are you saying you are better than the scientists. What kind of scientific study have you done (other than your subjective prejudice) to conclude that there is no God. For those of you who say God does not exist, before you rail on those who believe, search the video of lectures of Ian Morison professor of astronomy in Gresham College. He is a man of science, and he is doing a bible study. Search at Foratvdottv about his religion video. Its 5 hours long.

  • @rsjover

I need to correct my self....

He is a man of science, and he is N O T doing a bible study. Search at Foratvdottv about his religion video. Its 5 hours long

  • @rsjover Bravo!!! Comedian Jeff Allen tells about his encounter with a believer while he was a self-proclaimed atheist. "Well, what part of the Bible don't you believe?" his friend asks. Jeff says, "I don't believe any of it. I've never read it." The man replies, "No, you're not an atheist--you're a MORON! An atheist is someone who's done exhaustive research of ALL religions and concluded he doesn't believe. You, on the other hand, have circumvented the entire intellectual process..." :-)

  • There is proof of Pixies....

im writing to one right now

  • @aaybtfw Very beautiful video and message. People are evil at the root. They don't need God's name or even a reason to justify evil. It takes a lot more faith to believe that the universe, life, and everything in it is an accident than a creation. How is it that such order comes out of chaos? Why don't you take your computer apart, put it in a bag, shake it for 6 billion years and see if it comes out as a working unit. Yet you want us to believe that people and planets just "happened"?

  • @aaybtfw you live, eat, breath, felt love, be love, and yet you don't believe in Him?

  • Comment removed

  • I guess you could say that we have no proof that we evolved into what we are today either. Even scientist disagree with that. It takes more faith for me to believe that we are here by chance than to believe there is a creator. I would rather err on the side of a creator. My question might be, where do you get your morals? Yourself? Do you make it up as you go along? Guess we will find out the answers in the end of life. Thanks for your honesty.

Getting back to the video, it was inspiring!

  • @debiberry1 God exalts with the knowledge which comes for Him alone...

  • @Szheherazad except me, and %80 of people with an iq over 130

  • thanks iannnyptn, glad you enjoyed it. May God bless you too.

  • "One sees clearly only with the heart.

Anything essential is invisible to the eyes."

Yes it's just a sports event but different people see it differently.

I prefer this version as the background words help lead viewers to certain train of thought or emotion.

the background music however is distracting

  • AT LAST!!! A most intelligent comment coming from an intellectual mind. Keep working that brain and God will make everything successful in your path. Yeah sorry about the music, it is actually a video swap from what used to be Josh Groban's so turn off this volume and play this vid along Josh's "You raise me up".

  • xsoul117 is it really necessary for you to bring god into this i mean come on this is inspiring because its a person, and we can all bond feeling his same pain. this is none of gods work simply human will and spirit. the spirit of humanity will always be stronger than any god can give to us.

  • It is necessary because the video serves as a typology, just as the Lord Jesus Christ uses parables to explain the kingdom of God. I don't see anything wrong in using Derek Redmond's ordeal and struggle on the track field to typify God's love for humanity. Besides I feel I have the right to use this video in a way that pleases one. I just wish that comments were made more intelligent.

  • this statement is just gibberish in an attempt to sound elloquent. However cocktimus prime is succinct and to the point. Most times simplicity is the best means of explaining things.

  • Agree! Keeping it simple is wisest, because I guess the word "eloquent" is mispelled.

  • @34moss Okay. Let's be simple. Walk to the nearest parking lot. Examine a car and ask yourself this question: Accident or engineering? Then go look at yourself in the mirror. You should see an intelligent human being, capable of reason, emotion, choice, creativity, achievement, dreams, goals, belief. A body that can heal itself, and even replicate. Engineering or accident of chaotic nature? Then ask, Okay, God, if you're out there prove it to me.

  • You nailed it Cocktimus, I keep coming across these videos where people preach about God being the reason why this stuff occurs. It's amazing because it's another human out there that worked hard all his life and was crushed into rock bottom in one single injury; His iron will to get up and fight again truely supports the phrase "never give in". Life is more than just about going for gold. It's the journey that counts.

  • @Legacysteve2469 I believe the poster was making an analogy here about how God is LIKE the father who went to help his son, etc... So, why does someone talking about their faith on their own channel offend you? Do you drive around churches in your community shouting down the pastors and yelling at the people in their seats that they are fools? Sort of the same thing here... Just proves once again that atheists are the MOST INTOLERANT of all people.

  • "the spirit of humanity will always be stronger than any god can give to us."...STUPID COMMENT

  • Bless you jimj24. You are indeed blessed with wisdom and knowledge. For that God will use you in furtherance of His kingdom.

  • @CocktimusPrime2012 Why can't xsoul117 talk about God on her own channel? Do Christians now need your permission to talk about their faith? Or have you banned expressions of faith? And they say Christians are intolerant... Folks have forgotten the classic meaning of the word...

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO!
