  • just found this video to try cheer myself up i am a nail tech and i have had a customer that was very picky like the woman in your story in 2 days i put on 2 sets of acrylic and removed one it is a bit dent to comfidence i am glad i am not the only one. I busted a gut doing this womans nails for 7 hours in total . I even gave her a free set.

  • You are such a sweet girl! I wouldn't mind hooking you up with some nail designs for free! If you would like to know more about nails, check out my hub page. Or google the title "How to Annoy a Nail Technician" Its purpose is not to annoy us, but to help relate to everyday customer service.

  • I like you,you are very nice you lay down the law and speak it in manner. Did they ever arrest the girl?

  • I own a nail salon. I'm very glad that you share your experience in a salon. Let me share you some incidence. My salon is very diverse. I post a sign that says "We have the right to refuse service on anyone regardless of age, sex, gender, religion, etc." In MS, we can't use the razor to shave off the callus. Many black customers would go off on me, and cuss me out! Then again, I'd rather follow the law than losing my license and business just because someone wants to use a razor.

  • I know this is off topic but most Vietnamese nail salon owner are insecure and greedy . If they feel that the nail tech employee are better then them then they won't give that nail tech clients to work on plus they favor there own family more which means family comes first .

  • I love your video, I do acrylic nails and it's really hard to deal with this kind of people, I'm Hispanic but I look like I'm from Asia, my grand grand father was chines, anyhow I got this lady That was telling trash about me to her friend in spanish, when she finish I answer " really I'm not half of what you said" In Spanish she didn't talk at all after that, it's hard to deal with this...

  • u go girl!!! HAHAHAHA good luck with the nail tech career! thats my goal too im startin next month the course was only $1800 ;)

  • Love it! ..

  • I love you!!! I am a nail technician and I am Viet mixed with African American (they called us war baby, my father went to Vietname war and boom boom and here I am) Anyway, yes there are customer that just want to cost trouble so they can get there service done for free. Usually, I will spot them out right away. But...there are nail tech that used there bilingual experience and talked hell of shit about their client too!

  • Thanks for sharing your story. I probably would have reached over & backhanded that girl...LOL. And if all folks had your attitude on how to treat people, we'd all be better for it. A wise lady you are & good luck on owning your own salon!

  • my azn ass would charge the full ten. haha.

  • Hi,

Thanks for sharing your story, I enjoyed it very much! I'm a nail tech and thank God I never had a custumer that was that disrespectfull to my customers and myself. It's hard work and pretty difficult to make a customer like her happy. I think you can be the best nailtech in the world and she still wouldn't be happy. Too bad that she spoiled it for everyone, not only herself.

And about the police: it's the same thing over here in Holland!

Hope your next pedi is peacefull ;-)

  • =) I really enjoyed listening to your story! You are doing a great job telling it! Whoever that miserable customer lady was...God bless her heart! This might help her to learn how to treat people with a more positive attitude!

  • (Sorry but I couldn't put it all in!!!)

    Anywho....

It just boils down to simple ignorance and a gross misunderstanding of what a nail tech's job is. We have a duty to service the public and provide satisfaction but we do not deserve to be looked upon as if our jobs are not important. Hell, if they thought about it hard enough, they'd see that maybe we don't want to touch their crusty, busted feet before they come up showing off on somebody. Some of our sistahs need to get a grip--FOR REAL.

  • I know that's right! Thank you for keeping it real. (LOL) And WOW! that is my dream to be a nail tech, I love to give mani's and pedi's-I can't help it, it's my gift. May God bless you as you continue providing wonderful customer service for those who appreciate it, and most of all deserve it-Thanks for commenting!

  • Oh, you're so welcome!!! And thank you so much for your kind words--May God bless you to fulfill your dreams of becoming a nail tech; it is a very rewarding job to those most deserving of it. And thank you for posting this video--A LOT of US need to see this one.

  • @nailz4lyfe If you don't want to touch "crusty" feet, you don't really like your job. You should get another career. That's so aweful. She's probably upset with asians coming into the neighborhoods & pushing out black people. I've never been to an asian nail salon where there was a black employee or even a black nailtech!!! I don't go to asian nail salons anymore!!! I never got excellent customer service & i've lived all over the US.

  • Ok...sorry, but I have to say this. I am a black woman who owns her own nail salon, and this type of behavior is not only happening in the Asian nail salons, but it has happened in my salon as well. I have a select black clientele for this very reason. And for some reason, no matter the quality of service, black women want the services given to them!!! I understand that the Asians work hard for their money, but so do I. No, I don't charge $10 for a pedicure--but my goal is customer satisfaction.

  • did you just say $10????? oh my goodness!!! she should have just been happy!!! i have had my nail shop drama FOR SURE but it was the other way around!!! i need to do a vid response to this!

  • You look llike one of those chinese with the smile you do!

  • Girl I feel you on this. I hate them darn people. They have no respect for others. Like there the only ones who are getting there nails and toes done. Smack the next one that does that.. HEHE.. No, cause they might be calling the cops on you.. HEHE..

  • Now c...trifling!

  • i love listening to your stories. they are fantastic. God bless you sister!

  • lawrd growing up in NY i have too many drama stories from nail to hair salons...lol said to say some black women do carry heavy attitudes. women to women we need to learn how to act right with one another as well as how to conduct ourselves in public. it saddens me when i see my sisters and even my brothers act indignant because it reflects on all of us as a people.

  • Maybe the drama queen is watching this video now, lol.

Nah sis, I don't have any drama stories and I pray to not have any. These scenes are so embarassing. Especially when it's an African American cutting fool and don't know how to act.

  • Yeah I know-dat's the same thing I was thinking! (LOL) But U r right it's time for us to act like the beautiful intelligent Black Women God has created us to be! Thanks so much for watching...

  • lol wow that's crazy
