  • Alien biology may be more similar than you think. Consider convergant evolution, that is when lifeforms that have very different backgrounds evolve similar traits because they evolved in similar environments. A dolphin and an icheyorsaurus are two very different creatures that would be difficult to tell apart. One is a reptile that lived during the Mesozoic(dinosaurs) and the other is a contemporary marine mammal. A tool using intelligent terrestrial creature may look very similar to humans.

  • @ras351 I know what convergent evolution is... There is no reason to believe a humanoid form would be converged upon. A fish form has been converged upon, flight has been converged upon, but a humanoid form has never been converged upon. Why should we assume that it will on another planet? There's no reason to believe that.

  • K first of all this video is bullshit because we are not from damm monkeys! if you trace the bible stories back to the summerian text it tells you straight we humans were once alien to this planet our selfs and those with dark skin have an adaptation to the sun. To be honest there over 500 races of intelligent human and non human races out there. Some are here an some aren't. Trust me in this Era in time Ignorance can be bliss.

  • @heart79605 I nor evolution ever stated that we are from monkeys. You better read a science book.

  • @heart79605 uh did you listen to the video or judt went to your "assume" mode all by yourself? He was giving a broad range over different life form's an monkey's were an example only. Hypothesis, you were like me, you heard only what you wanted an then shifted away Hey, try giving Peace a chance an practicing what you were told. If your in doubt an apparantly you were try to self associate unless you enjoy fumbling around in the dark!

  • @heart79605

    >_>

not sure if trolling, or crazy

  • I truly believe that there is life out there somewhere, some thousands of years more advanced, and some mayby less.

But why should they be interested in us?

We could be the slime that lives under rocks to them.

    I pray I'm wrong!!

    Would love to meet them...

  • There are some problems with life being on other planets. Like water for instance, it's everywhere but there is not enough of it. Earth IS large for a rocky planet. But this there is all too much to guess on. Their is one equation that one can use to figure out how many civilizations exist today in our galaxy that can contact us. But the results vary widely as you try diffrent estimates. My guess is that we are the only intellegent life in the galaxy, with any other life in fairly simple forms

  • H2O is the 2nd most abundant molecule in the universe... I mention the drake equation in episode 2 of this series.

  • Interesting video. I strongly believe there is life in other planets. There has to be. It doesn't make sense otherwise.

  • Do you believe intelligent life exists on other planets? :P

  • yes i do... it is true not believing in E.T'.s is arrogant.

  • Really cool video! :D

Also, I'm not sure if you mentioned/suggested this, but the life forms may not have DNA as genetic material. Some scientists think that there may even be life on Earth that has survived all these years that does not have DNA, but perhaps something else....

  • Indeed true. But isn't cartilage considered not a bone. Our noise is made up entirely of cartilage and we have not classify our noses as being a bone.

  • In sharks, they are considered bones even though they are made up of cartilage.

  • i hate to say this but sharks don't have bones. so they don't have a skeletal system.

  • They do have skeletal systems. They are made of cartilage, but it is indeed a skeletal system. If what you said was true, then we wouldn't consider sharks to be vertebrates, but they are.

  • Has anyone seen the Discovery Channel's "Alien Planet?" Rather interesting book-to-film adaption regarding a theoretical mission to a fictional exoplanet that's some ~6.5 light years away: Darwin IV. It's based on the book "Expedition" by Wayne Douglas Barlowe.

  • good video, thanks for sharing!

  • Do you believe in aliens? :P

  • i believe that there r just not humans, there r also others too! i dont know who they r , but there is!

  • aliens are real its just a matter of time before the gov has to tell us

  • thanks for answering my question

  • bloody reptilians !!!!!

  • cool never thought they could be made out of like a rock form and stuff, and yah i believe in other life beside earth

  • is this is your voice? your voice sound like you can read for nova...... and thank you for teaching me about human evolution.

  • Yeah, that's my voice. Haha thanks! No problem, thanks for watching. XD

  • I'm sorry i forgot to right i actually believe in aliens and the gov. is hiding it from us because i know an alien crashed in area 41 and it's a big galaxy so there has to be another life form out there and im not insane cause i know that there is an existing alien out there!!!

  • You mean Area 51?

  • Sorry......i meant Area 51 lol

  • Agreed, Aliens do exist and thats us Mexicans lolz, sorry if i offend some one but i am really Mexican and 100% too

  • By the way, TYRANIDS WILL EAT YOU ALL!

  • Woah, your voice is so different.

  • Fascinating topic. I agree with Carl Sagan that it is arrogance for us to assume there is no other life. I also think that there is no reason it assume that life from other planets would resemble us. The environment and evolution would almost make that impossible. I would love to know more about some of the UFO sightings.

  • Great vid btw.

  • Exactly look at all the varied forms of life on earth. Wow you have some nice pics especially that girl at 1:21. Wowee whoo hoo mamamia.

  • While I'm waiting for empirical evidence, I think it's a bit naive to believe we are the only living beings (by our definition of life at the least) in the entire universe.

and are we implying that natural selection or evolution can be found with all life in the universe (to some extent and at some point)?

I like the theories on why stereotypical aliens have huge eyes. Less light in space = need for bigger pupils to see more light!

  • Agreed. Good vid man, keep them coming.
