I used to listen to this when my family and i went through a foreclosure on my childhood home, and now i can barely listen to this without bursting into tears, I've never been one to share personal stuff in comments, but i can just relate to this song so well.

I lived in the same house from the time I was born until I was 21. They sold it in 2005 and ever since there has been a hole in my heart I'm afraid I'll never be able to fill. It felt like a part of me died the day we left. I haven't been in a place that felt like home since. I keep wondering how emptiness can take up so much space.

I know how you feel. When I was 21 married and had just lost my Dad, my Mom sold the farm house I was raised in with my 9 older siblings. I honestly took the loss of my childhood home harder than I did the loss of my Dad. That was in 1963 and I still grieve the loss of my family home as though it were yesterday. I guess it must be all of the memories because I still dream about going home again over and over.

i can relate to every single word to this song. my dad and i used to lie with my granparents most of my life until my grandma died from cancer. his health was failing him too and he did the second hardest thing that anyone could do. he had to sell his house full of love and i saw how much it hurt him. i live in the same town and i do want to do whats in this song but i am afraid the owners will tell me no. both of my grandparents we lived with died.

it didn't make me emotional, but this really reminds me of me when I was younger. I was born in the upper peninsula of Michigan an raised by my grandparents, but when I was 12, they were both killed in a car wreck and my twin brother and I had to move in with my aunt. Well, now I'm seventeen and I would do almost anything to go back to living in that 150-year-old old house in a tiny rundown town then in a nice new house with barely any friends and too many worries in Grand Rapids, MI.

I started crying as soon i heard this song. And i continued to listen to it and cry for about one or two weeks. Everytime i hear it i just remember the house i was born in and lived the first ten years of my life. I remembered how i didn't know what love was.
