I can understand excessive barking but dogs bark...it's just what they do.

What about kids who are out playing for hours in the evening screaming causing way more noise than dogs do? It's a part of life and it would be JUST AS ridiculous to find the parents of those kids and expect them to be quiet all the time.

I love my dog but, she barks not excessively. when someone comes to the house or she see's a cat in the yard. I also work 3rd shift and sleep during the day. I have a neighbor who puts her jack russel out when she goes to work. the dog barks for about 6 straight hours! In the summer when my windows are open & I am trying to sleep.
