Typical spitfire, makes a lot of noise but doesn't really go anywhere. Shame Britain resorted to making cars like this in the 70s, it's no wonder our car industry fell apart.

I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree

A very long time ago my dad had one of these :) In yellow looked like a nice car apart from the roof leaking etc!

@PlatformWeb actually that is the wrong sound for a 1500 as they were 4 cyl and this is the sound of a 6.

@snotracks i think they had 1400 cc inline 4's if im correct there around 70 hp

@chevygearhead454 originaly a 1493cc 4 cylinder putting out 71 hp in Uk spec, more like 54 in US spec and I believe even less in California spec. Its probably got a 1998cc straight 6 from either a gt6 or a vitess in it judging from the sound and the GT6 bonnet.
