If any meat eaters actually care one hoot about the environment and how eating meat is a real disaster for it!! please TAKE 2 BRAIN CELLS OF YOURS and 2 Hand muscles to type in Goog. Search: The Ethical Vegetarian Arguments. The first link that comes up shows 100 TRUE FACTS ABOUT THE DEVASTATION EATING MEAT CAUSES ON ENVIRONMENT. PLEASE grow a brain & read the 1 page article for the facts. Don't be a coward. It doesn't take a lot of guts to eat flesh but it does take some to own up.
But, at the opposite of european/american meat eaters, chinese are logical:they eat anything coming from animals (cats, dogs, rats, cows, chicken...). In occidental countries, people select which animal deserve to be eaten, which deserves to be caressed.
That's not logical, that is schizophrenic ->Eat all of them, or none of them.
Vegetarians are logical : they respect ALL ANIMALS, because it's not fair to respect some of them, and to eat others.
i hate to break it to you logical is following whats happened for thousands upon thousands of years... people haev allways eaten meat and willl allways eat meat.. some animals are good fmaily pets or hunters like digs or cats be logical and be natural to
Please explain to me how it is not fair. We are all here, its fair game. We just happened to be the top of the food chain. animals will overpopulate and starve to death if we don't eat them so go fuck yourself and educate youreslf.
@AoCranger@AoCranger : "animals will overpopulate" NO! they are produced by humane, as mere merchandises!!! If we stop producing them with artificial reproduction their effectives will reduce! Most meat animals are humane made (egg producing henses, chicken, cows) have been modified genetically and then produced. They production monsters. It's not fair to considere other sensitive being as a thing, as a product. They have feelings, emotions, intelligence, and only deserve respect and freedom.
@fissomad So? Plants are alive too. Until we develop some way to feed our bodies via photosynthesis, we will be killers either way. PS meat tastes great.
yes, plants are alive, but they are not sentient being such as we know perfectly animals are.
As heterotrophic organisms, we need to eat alive organisms. And yes, it's possible to live without killing animals. By the way you reduce of 90% the "killing" of plants (in case you feel empathy for them), if you go vegan (yes, you need 10kg of plants to produce 1kg of animal...).
@fissomad Plants also have senses. Fact that they cannot squeal or make sad eyes doesn't make them less alive, or less respect-worthy. Laws of nature have nothing in common with ethics.
"laws of nature"... so weak people should be abandonned, We should not try to cure diseases, or to treat handicaps, as laws of nature want those people to die, as they weaken the species? Beatten women ? slaved children? Laws of nature??
Human being has the capacity to think, to feel empathy, to experience ethical reasonnings (not you maybe).
I told you that if you are vegan you kill 10 times less plants. So you respect them more than if you eat animals.
@fissomad Ahh, so all meat-eaters are Nazis. And every vegan is a Living Saint. Great. No, my friend, I'm not interested in classifying living beings into "edible with small regrets" and "edible with big regrets". I'm interested only in sustainability (for both humans and nature). We must build sustainable food chain with us on top, with smallest possible damage to enviroment. Will we eat plants, animals, bacteria or each other in that chain, isn't important.
Don't try to invent some pseudo ecological beliefs... "sustainability?" "nature"? do you really care about them?? You told it at the beggining "meat tastes great" and this is your only justification... Be honnest dude.
Yes I am happy not to be responsible any more of the animals suffering and death in farms and slaughterhouses, circuses, zoos, laboratories, etc. Yes I am proud to have been able to integrate into my way of life the interests of others, who are systematically oppressed for our pleasure (the animals). I know that I still have to improve many things in my life, but going vegan is the greater thing I have ever made.Going vegan is positive for you, the animals, the Planet, and Human kind.
each year I save more than 100 animals' life, 900.000 liters of water, I reduce deforestation, poor people starvation, health risks for me... I am far from living in an illusion.
You live in disneyworld, imaginating that your way of life is sustainable and respectfull of nature, animals and humans...
@fissomad Dream on... Hundreds of animals die because of agriculture for many reasons (lost habitat, pesticides, crushed under harvesting vehicles...). How do you manage to save 3000 liters of water per day? You ran a washing service before? Reducing deforestation? Nah. Half of Amazon is chopped down for planting soy fields. Starvation - maybe. Health risks? Be aware of osteoporosis and joint malfunctions when you get old as a consequence of vegan lifestyle.
@AoCranger : I don't expect any education from somebody who says to me "fuck yourself".
Enjoy your status of autoproclamed superior being... I would be happy to check your so called superiority, on "top of food chain", alone and naked with a cow in front of you... It is much easier to go to the supermarket to hunt your plastic packed cow .... isn't it? You coward!

@ boxxermann : The fact that something bad has "always been done", does not convert it to something good.
There always have been wars, does it mean that we should not fight against wars?
Millions of people have already change, and other millions have been vegetarian for generations. We don't need to eat meet. Meat is unfair.
After, the one who does not want to change will find some excuses, and the one who really want to change will find solutions.

Not really... After the Great Flood is when God legalized meat eating...oh this comment was a year ago...

it appears you dont know the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan, because they are kind of very different,.
Crusafriedchiken 2 years ago
@ Crusafriedchiken : indeed you are right, and I know perfectly, for being a vegan, that vegans are consistent vegetarians.
A vegan is a 100% vegetarian, who refuses to eat any kind of animal, and any kind of product coming from the animal exploitation.
Because it's not fair to use others as a simple commodity, as we absolutely don't need it.
