For those that don't know, the main characters are stranded in the belly of a whale and this was they're last attempt at escaping. Though the movie is less about the actual whale and more about the the guy's physiological growth.
first: What the crap is this notice there all asian and, well that would be one helluva show if they were in the olympics, also, this is mostly TROLL PHYSICS, google it, or youtube it, but this is just, crazy shit here , im trying to think of something witty to go in this comment but im not sure what to say about this movie just wow, its like, well sure why not, just toss it in there and make big ol anime movie soup out of it, sure a whale can eat buildings, tanks, and whatever else =) crazynes
That was epic. I'm so going to watch this movie as soon as i find it online. (in case you're going to give links, spanish subs would be great) I could deal with english ones tho.
@Molkomuse I ordered my DVD from Japan - region 2 with English subtitles. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been released officially in Europe which is a great shame - one of the best films ever made...
goes to show you, no matter what life throws at you (buildings, planes tanks other thigns the whale ate), just keep moving forward or youll get swallowed up, keep your mind in a positive place and just move forward
at first i thought it was a mind "fuck" cause it played mind games on you, but the more i watched it i realised that it really was a mind game, he put his mind into things and got things accomplished
I'm puzzled, ...was all the running & screaming to get that final last push to get the poop out? ...I'm assuming he's taking a shit cuz at the end he felt so free, haha
...yea, this is what i think about to when i'm taking an epic shit
the last part, from 4:45, depicts an emotional state I experienced when I was a child, up till I was about ten years old, especially with the larger than life ship, and running on tiny objects, the combination of very large and tiny. I have never managed to describe that feeling, but now I can just show people this clip.
i dont know what it is about this part of the movie, but every time i watch this movie at this part i get that thrilling feeling of exileration, as im mentally cheering them on,
@K2Sasu he's not related to any of the other characters, he's just a man who got trapped in that whale before them. However if you look at the few minutes of the prequel sequence in the beginning of the movie I think his life was indirectly led to where he is now by the other characters actions. (I hope that makes sense)
No doubt this movie is underrated. I shamefully admit I only own a burned copy of it, but I try to show it to as many people as I can so people will get interested and look for it. Keep this movie alive!
this movie made no fuckin sense can someone please explain what the fuck I just watched (i'm not talking about this upload, I just watched the entire movie, Mind Game)
whoooft! that was one of the most surealist things ive ever seen....it kinda reminds me of samurai champloo and flcl at the same time..reeeallly cool though. ^_^
heh... good eye. Masaaki Yuasa (director of Mind Game) was a guest animator on several Champloo episodes (mosty notably, the episode in which they burnt down the 'field').
wtf...
