The Honey Hole Tree will work better in deep water to attract larger baitfish like bluegill and shad. Adult catfish will feed on all sizes of baitfish, but bigger bait will bring in larger predators. If you are looking at adding cover to a catfish pond, the Honey Hole Shrub will work best to promote baitfish production in shallow water.

The difficulties we may find with this are not only the price of the product, but set up time, and necessary hardware. The amount of time needed to set up and weight the product are cumbersome enough, let alone the retail for someone looking into multiple units. I have recently found a product called "fishiding" which is very affordable, has an included weight, and is re-claimed and recycled. It is worth checking out

True...trees are less expensive, however, the benefits of the Honey Hole Trees and Honey Hole Shrubs is that once you put them in they are there for life and you can fish right down in them without snagging or breaking off your line.
