I never shoot fast frames anyway, so a quick regen, is of no use to me... I hate cyphening out the best shots from masses of frames, so I keep how many I shoot to a minimum.
Profoto are great, but for me, flash is flash and its light position and angle that matters. You can have all the best equipment in the world and still be a shit photographer. There's a lot of them out there now, due to digital photography. Half of who, don't use a light meter... What does that tell yeh!?
@bladrunner6 i agree ...flash is flash ..i dont use a light meter ...all i use is an expo disc for manual white balance ...so ya ...flash is flash ...im not gonna go out and pay 10 000$ for a studio lighting set up ...and 45 000$ for a 45mp camera ...hell no ...let the company get me one ..haha
@paullesoudeur Some of these so called top pro's are full of shit. Some of these set ups are either to impress the client or to justify their fee. I've just shot a campaign with one light and natural light and a reflector. Its on 17ft billboards in the UK. I'll message you personally in a minute. Give you a link to my work, then you decide if what I say holds water.
Give me the oldest clunkiest, piece of shit camera you can find and as long as the light meter works I'll get you a shot!
@bladrunner6 i agree 100% with you ....some do act like they are pros with there big light set ups ...and they have 3-10 people working for them cause they dont know how to do a basic light set up ...like Sol Lang a photographer i know here in montreal ...he uses 1 light and a reflector ...he does amazing work and sells all over the world ... ...i use 1/2/or a 3 light set up depending on my mood ...im just an amateur myself ,but work for a model agency and shoot in my little studio also
@paullesoudeur I've not used that site bud, could you private message me a link to your page. I know people who take pictures for a living their work is horrendous! just like their arrogance. being paid does not make a pro, its the level of the work that defines you. Keep on trucking my friend, it'll come
Hasselblad, most fashion people use it as it has a lot more pixels so you can print the image bigger, ideal for billboards and such. Also prob better image quality and sharper (better be for the price!)
