I admit that their were really good shows that I watched in the 80's/90's but after watching the reboots of tmnt this as well as the old tmnt and thundercats i found the reboots better.
the old school one wasn't any good I had to force myself to watch the old series again a couple of months ago, nostalgia couldn't get me to watch more than 3 episodes. Hearing snarf talk again killed it for me.

I love how Lion-O always says "Whiskers" right before it cuts to the first commercial break. It's like he is saying "The Fuck did I get myself into?" I love it.

Song of the Petals was just a friggin AWESOME episode. From a very deep story of life and the reason of our existence to the debut of Panthro. These Thundercats are really good! Well done Warner Bros!

It's not a sequel, it's a re-imaging, and if you don't like it that's fine, but kindly give a better reason than "they didn't copy the original line for line so it sucks now" which is, frankly, kind of silly and more than a little pathetic. If they did what people like you wanted, then the show really would suck.

P.S. They must have been fans because they got Larry Kenney to voice King Claudus (Lion-O and Tigra's father) in the first episode and he was the original Lion-O.

Anime looking animation isn't made for the mouths to go along with English words I don't think. It looks better when Japanese is coming out their mouths, or even English coming out of what's supposed to be Japanese.
The cartoon/anime distinction as I see it was largely due to the vast difference in range and overall quality. American animation has been almost exclusively overly-simplified and revolved around cheap humor.
Japan has that, but they also have higher quality series with a range of tone that includes drama and romance, often mixing multiple tones.
The distinction is going to be come obsolete if America takes the cue from the popularity of anime and shows the medium more respect.

Pantro was confirmed to join the cast in the series but when is a mystery right now. Honestly some of the new reboots aren't that bad except biker mice from mars 2006 that was terrible. The only other shows that I liked more than the originals were the new he-man and tmnt 2003, except the future arc in that show I didn't bother to watch it. I love 80's and 90's cartoons but some of the new shows now are pretty good only thing I hate is that the Saturday morning cartoons shows are dead.

Interesting revisioning of TC - heavy Lord of The Rings influence - some weak character design on the main cast - and they dropped the ball on the Thunder Cats Call... but I'll tune in to watch some episodes.
I just watched the premiere and I got to say it was real good! A lot of people said they were mad about the storyline changing but the new show wouldn't be as good if they used the same story. Every fan knows it so it's cool to see something new. I just don't like how they made Tygra a cocky dick lol. I look forward to seeing more of the show though.

Notice the lizards fighting are first shown pulling the structure of one of the cats. They have chains around their necks and attached to each other. And the cat uptop is smiling. This seems a lot like slavery

I just watched the premiere and I got to say it was real good! A lot of people said they were mad about the storyline changing but the new show wouldn't be as good if they used the same story. Every fan knows it so it's cool to see something new. I just don't like how they made Tygra a cocky dick lol. I look forward to seeing more of the show though.

I didn't watch the original show. Beside the awesomeness and epicness, there is one other thing I pick up. Moral ambiguity
Notice the lizards fighting are first shown pulling the structure of one of the cats. They have chains around their necks and attached to each other. And the cat uptop is smiling. This seems a lot like slavery

This IS anime. AND I'VE NEVER LOVED AN ANIME THIS MUCH!!! Best show EVER!!! (Next to Generator Rex and Young Justice, all in first place) Just watched it.Premiere was EPIC. Kept saying to myself that Will Friedle (voice of Lion-O in this series) must've been watching it in his house, relaxed, with his feet up, and saying "*sigh* I am SUCH an awsome actor." hahaha random thought XD Anyway, ROCKED! :)

Snarf does not speak. The voice of the original Lion-O is now his father. The original cartoon was nothing more than toy marketing so to say this will be terrible is just misguided nostalgia. The reason He-Man failed was poor marketing in a horrible time slot.

I thought the graphics would be more current. I was hoping everyone would be more mature. This may be focused on a younger audience w/a more violence. I am gong to watch it and see how I like it. Was a HUGE fan of the series when I was a kid. Panthro was cool but I always liked Tigra. I always thought Snarff was too whiney. Lets see what they do with him now. So with all the crap I said before I am still excited. Not liking Liono's look yet. Nor chetarah. Will these 2 be a couple this time?
