How can you not live in peace?, as far as i'm concerned I was raised well by good parents who taught how to respect people, be kind to others, be helpfull and to take education seriously . @MsCurbsideprophet Yeah that ayat was abrogated. It is an early Meccan ayat that was later abrogated by the verse of the sword! I got all of these verses from the Quran. Why do you keep asking me that! I gave the book number and the verse number for every one of them.
Now do you know about abrogation? Mohamed and Allah changed their mind after they gained more power and followers. Then they became more intolerant! I would love to live in peace, but unfortunately we cant with Islam!

I am also able to say “no” comfortably then people ask me if I feel as though my sexuality is being repressed. I have taken control of my sexuality. I am thankful I will never have to suffer the fate of trying to find the exact lipstick shade that will go with my skin color. I have made choices of what my priorities are.

@kyunhwoarang It's strange you say "you are not open minded" - I came to Islam to DEFEND IT after 9/11, when I had an opportunity to study it at university -reading the Qur'an & cross-referencing with the Sunnah etc. I was shocked to find an abusive death-cult invented by the worst criminal the world has seen.
You are the one who is closed-minded. Though I don't blame you since you said you live in Malaysia, where Islam is allowed to abuse Muslims by making it illegal to leave it.

Stop & think- criticizing an ideology/religion is NOT treason. Islam must stop seeing itself in a WAR of conquest, & instead compete in the world of ideas by honestly showing itself to be the most attractive ideology. (I acknowledge this is impossible because it is an abusive murderous cult.)

@jontwest if anyone would understand the core of teaching in islam, helping the poor,the orphan, give alms,pray 5 times a day,fasting,striving for the better..is about a human and himself..how they preserve relation to other human,to nature and creatures,not getting too attach to the world,pray for your parents who cares for you,pray for the safety of friends in health and security,asking for god forgiveness for sin that has been made..

And the helping of the poor is for Muslims only, you cannot use the zakat to help poor non Muslims. And striving for better? Better what? The definition of better is vague. Under Islamic rule non Muslims are second class citizens and are extorted from. And we cannot hold positions of power!

You write Islam is "helping the poor,the orphan, give alms,pray 5 times a day,fasting,striving for the better"- but the flip-side is that Islam also currently preaches execution for Muslim apostates, married adulterers, homosexuals, atheists & blasphemers. And (unlike Christian charities for example) it DOESN'T help the poor unless they're MUSLIM.
On blasphemy alone, nearly 6 billion NON-Muslims in the world think Muhammad was a liar. Islam must ACCEPT our free expression of this.

And the nations that do implement it have the worst human rights abuses and lack freedom, education and infrastructure. They are hundreds of years behind. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verse: (Sura 4:24) "And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hands possess."
