Thats what a cheap synth keyboard will do if you hit a key, it'll start the accompaniment loop. Not revolutionary dude. A drum machine will do the same thing and they'be been around 25 years or more
what a cheeseball and execellent musician. those two things go well together. alot of musicians who take themselves seriously are jokes on their instruments. this guitar is unreal.
After watching the video: that guitar is amazing. Great looking instrument too. The MIDI capabilities with piezo + magnetic pickups = most versatile instrument category for 2008.
Yeah. It's called the "jam face" they all look weird. The better the player, the weirder the face.
This is to the folks at Carvin...You've made the guitar I've been dreaming of. Semi-hollow tones (plus a bunch of other great electric sounds) and all the tech stuff that too few guitar players use. Beautiful.
@carvin160 Agreed...he's just a dork. Good for a technician I guess, but it makes it a strain to watch him. Killer guitar though, I actually just ordered one...
I watch these vids to see this guy play just as much as to see the guitars lol!

Lots of finger pickers have gel nails applied and use them as finger picks like that.

Great sounding instrument... did he learn from Phil Keagy??? Sounds like his licks and jam-box techniques, very cool.

...check out "Salvation Army Band" by Phil Keagy to listen to the similarities ;)

@firstfate That's exactly what I thought! His pull-off riff at the beginning sounds especially like Phil.

All without a pick.

But his fast, single note lines do use picking mechanics, motion from the wrist and not the fingers.

he has mad long nails for a dude he uses those as picks

This guy is great - as far as guitar face: it's something you really can't help. You just do it.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
i want one...
but he is such a wiener. good player but such over the top facial expressions and gestures.
carvin160 3 years ago
Oh come on now be nice. Haven't you ever seen Santana, Vai or many others who are over the top on expressions?
