  • I was a Marine for five years. I used to play a game with my fellow Marines called "Patriot or Nationalist". I would ask them to just name the first 5 amendments of the Constitution. I was surprised how many people, especially self described conservatives, couldn't get past the 2nd amendment.

  • I bet you're not surprised anymore.

  • a game that requires actual knowledge? hmm, i would think that most marines would probably prefer "ookie cookie" or some other form of frat boy faggotry. lol jk... but not really.

  • *****

    moving on the pt.2

  • What kind of responsed did you get when you talked about how you were not upholding the constitituion with your squad mates?

  • He spoke publicly against the unconstitutionality of these empirical conquests, and yet he re-enlisted after that and went to murder MORE innocent unarmed civilians?

    Treason.

  • Not after speaking (I think), but seemingly after he says he "woke up."

So... same difference, from my view.

He said he won't attack Americans, in the same speech where he said he was still employed to murder people a little further away for the benefit of our overlords.

But I reject the whole idea of treason, I prefer classifications related to more concrete actions.

  • treason of the truth, and at the cost of innocent human lives, i think is a far worse infraction than violating some cub scout oath that itself, was just a huge list of fallacies to begin with.

  • Never heard "treason" used in a non-nationalistic betrayal. Defiantly agree that the real issue is knowingly misleading in public forums after one knows the truth, that lie of omission serving to continue the slaughter of innocent men women and children.

  • Good points. Do understand that there is a growing resistance in the military as well. I know for a fact that there are entire ships in the Navy that are talking mutiny if they were to receive orders that they do not agree with. Same applies to the Marines, and my guess the Army and Airforce as well.

  • I wonder where they draw their line.

  • That I cannot answer for them. But I saw it for myself...many of those men and women enlisted to do one thing primarily - to take care of their family. Becoming a discipline problem will hinder that ability. But rest assured, they will never stand against the american people. Believe me, I know what you are saying and it is easier said than done, unfortunately. It's a sad world, we have here, brother. It really is. These men and women should never be put in that situation to begin with.

  • If we stop lying to each other and calling them heroic, people will stop finding themselves in that situation.
