Thats why I love Hastro, when cod4 came out and Gamestop held a M40 tournament, he went toe to toe with many of optic players, but in MLG games he also used the M40 effectively (hardscope) to hold down vital positions.

Surely quickscoping is just the evolution of sniping? When you first pick up a sniper rifle you take ages to take a shot and often miss. As you get better you find you don't need to aim in so long and as you get better you square the enemy in the middle of your aiming reticule, knowing that when you scope in they will be in the middle of your crosshairs. So essentially quickscoping is just a sign of good sniping, and if you're good enough to use a sniper up close then I have nothing against it.

When sniping I use what works at the moment. I usually "hardscope" and switch to my other weapon when close, but there are times when I have no choice but to "quickscope." It's not hard to pick up either as wings said, I got the hang of the basic concept in half a game.
Don't be afraid to QuickScope. C'mon, you can only get better. And even though it's harder in Black Ops, I went from going negative 10 to getting Black Birds and Chopper Gunners. I'm no OpTiC, but I can definately be effective with a sniper. And if you're having trouble with it, get SoH in MW2 and get your start there. And don't let some bitch call you out for hardscoping :D
quickscoping isn't hard. you know why? cuz you got crosshairs when unscoped. aligning those for a quickscope isn't harder than aligning the scoped in crosshairs for regular sniping. i refuse to call it "hardscoping" because its real name is "SNIPING"

If I am defending a bomb in demo I have a clamore at one entrance and my crosshairs at the other . Unless somebody knows I am there I will kill them . I like your videos Wings but there aren't that many QSs in there. I understand where youre coming from, hardscoping is much more beneficial for the team and I hate watching people try and fail QSing, especially when its an easy shot and they end up getting killed. I dont like the scapegoat comment though, Im a pretty solid player but I have times where I cool down so I just QS or run around tac knife, if I do bad it doesnt matter cos I had a laugh, it's not always about the win for some :)
@ridleybowen1 If you're a sniper who uses a sniper rifle the way you're supposed to, you would never need to turn a corner. As a sniper you're supposed to stay near the objective and cover your teammates. Hardscoping is the most effective way to snipe. If you find the Quickscoping-playstyle more effective you should use a SMG. That way you don't let your teammates down and AND get more points/kills.

I agree that hardscoping is more effective if you want high scores, but i dont care about them, if i wanted to get over 25 kills everygame and under 5 deaths, i could. The only reason I try to be quick when I snipe is because the assault rifles have no recoil. They can kill you at sniper distance and sometimes, you don't have time to aim the shot all the way, especially while the people with the assault rifles are shooting at you making your scope bounce up and down.

And attempt to Quickscope close range, or switch to your pistol.
Don't stay in one spot for too long because you will get picked off.
And don't run around and quickscope in the open going for luck shots.
Know when to Quickscope, and to Hardscope.

When sniping I use what works at the moment. I usually "hardscope" and switch to my other weapon when close, but there are times when I have no choice but to "quickscope." It's not hard to pick up either as wings said, I got the hang of the basic concept in half a game.

Don't be afraid to QuickScope. C'mon, you can only get better. And even though it's harder in Black Ops, I went from going negative 10 to getting Black Birds and Chopper Gunners. 3. The hard part about quick scoping, is hitting those shots, with precise aim, in a short amount of time.

I like your videos Wings but there aren't that many QSs in there. I understand where youre coming from, hardscoping is much more beneficial for the team and I hate watching people try and fail QSing, especially when its an easy shot and they end up getting killed. I dont like the scapegoat comment though, Im a pretty solid player but I have times where I cool down so I just QS or run around tac knife, if I do bad it doesnt matter cos I had a laugh, it's not always about the win for some :)

@ridleybowen1 If you're a sniper who uses a sniper rifle the way you're supposed to, you would never need to turn a corner. As a sniper you're supposed to stay near the objective and cover your teammates. Hardscoping is the most effective way to snipe. If you find the Quickscoping-playstyle more effective you should use a SMG. That way you don't let your teammates down and AND get more points/kills.

I agree that hardscoping is more effective if you want high scores, but i dont care about them, if i wanted to get over 25 kills everygame and under 5 deaths, i could. However i think people like that are vital to have on a team. I think a perfect sniper can quick scope, but they dont lose the game for your team by trying to quick scope people who are far away. Having someone ruin that experience by Quickscoping is really selfish, but in the end you can't change the way people are or how they play.

@EvilPandaGaming Winning is the point of games. Besides the game is called Modern Warfare 2. Not "Kindergarden funhouse". And if it's a game in which the whole point is to have fun, why are there so many kids flaming each other because one of them hardscoped? Maybe using a sniperrifle like it's meant for is fun! But Quickscoping is fun and cool so it's obviously the right way to play, right? That's just hypocritical bullshit.

i agree with u wings. Hardscoping is something that u should do when ur sniping but i disagree that quicscopes does not take skill. i mean quicscopin isnt that hard but it does take skill to shoot fast and timing.

The only reason I try to be quick when I snipe is because the assault rifles have no recoil. They can kill you at sniper distance and sometimes, you don't have time to aim the shot all the way, especially while the people with the assault rifles are shooting at you making your scope bounce up and down.
