The new ruger bolt rifle uses a magazine the is the same as the accuracy international mag. It works so much better than the M14 mag. They cast about $40.00. I made a few 700 remingtons take the M14 mag but if you use the ruger mag everything is so much more forgiving. I could always feel the pressure of the mag spring on the bottom of the bolt. With the ruger it is as smooth as the stock remington internal magazine.
I think your right on the 2 latches. I am going to put together a video on some of the guns and things I have made (other than cannons) The gun will be on that video.
Did you open up the rails on the action? I have been afraid to do that even though I think it would be better. What you have done looks great. When I did mine I had to shorten the tabs on the top of the clip. Did you need to do that also? The other thing I did was I made mine roll in like an m14 so I didn't need a front latch. I think I like yours better. I am thinking of building another one so let me know what you thoughts are . Thanks Steve
@piutesteve no, it's a DM model, I would if it was a BDL. I did slight mag mods, but the next one I will do the rifle so the mag can be unmodified.I felt the best compact way was to use two latches, less mag well necessary when you can insert it strait in without rocking, plus more foolproof.I also needed it dead nuts reliable. Thanks for the compliments, I'd like to see yours.

WOW, very good video showing your talent.
You should consider selling these. Do you know of anyone else
making and selling these??? How much time do you have into them???

@DIECASTER I am considering farming the production of these out to a friend with a CNC, I'm just a hobby guy bringing various ideas to life.

@8MADJACK it would be a good product especially if you keep the cost for less than the cost of the gun
its out rages how much some places charge
