  • brasil loves rammstein

  • Thanks, Mindfreakthesecond, I've seen the English translation. However, the melody IS a hymn, and the text is some kind of mourning or lamentation or dirge for OUR beautiful brother-river. I go to run or cycle nearly every day at the bank of the DUNA (it's the Hungarian, original name, 'cos "Danube" is a latin one) so I see what have happened to him since my childhood. But I must correct myself: it's a hymn FOR the DUNA/Danube/, a pray for humans not to kill him

  • Ich liebe dieses Lied, von Rammstein kann man nicht genug kriegen !!!

  • A real hymn of the Danube... a la Rammstein

  • @ogrelaca thaths not even a hymne... it's a song about a catastophal happening where some unhealthy thnings get into danube...

if you translate the lyrics... you will get the sense...

  • @Mindfreakthesecond It's also a legend about a town where a man leads children out of town because the people would not pay him for drowning all except one rat,i don't remember the name of the town for sure

  • @lethax1

You're talking about the Pied Piper of Hamelin (Hameln)

The story may reflect a historical event in which Hamelin lost its children. Theories have been proposed suggesting that the Pied Piper is a symbol of the children's death by plague or catastrophe. Other theories liken him to figures like Nicholas of Cologne, who lured away a great number of children on a disastrous Children's Crusade.
