@GAR92590 Its called motion tracking when you track 2 or more points in a shot and apply the motion to a layer (Ship Or Anything) but only programs like after effects can do that, unless you get a good motion tracking software

It is juste a Sky Replacement or did you render the ship with Photoshop ?

Well there was no photoshop used (cuz i dont know how to use it lol) so it was all after effects, there was no sky replacement, but i took the district 9 poster and rotoscoped around the ship (which took forever but i still have it with transparency if you want it) and tracked the footage and placed it in a realistic spot in the footage, and the sky looks cool because of the color correction.

Great compositing skills, since you have already rotoscoped the ship, could you please send it it to me? Is it a hi res file? I would like to try and composite that ship somewhere in my city!

Ya i can send it though rapidshare or something, now i dont have it (Because my computer is at home) but when i get back from new york i can send it to you, and if i cant find it (assuming i deleted it by mistake) ill make another one, we will keep in touch!

Thanks, but if it´s too much trouble, don`t worry about it, just tell me which poster did you use, because all the ones I find have several helicopters in front of the ship!

well i used the clone tool to get rid of the helecopters but i used the poster your thinking of and keyed out the sky and did some other work because if you look at the picture you will notice where i cloned out the helecopters but if you look really closely at the picture you will see it, but thats the best thing about compositing, with some realistic looking work the average person wont see it lol
