man these videos are amazing but if you could go slow and read the frets out loud like a verbal tab it would be perfect i just cant follow someone talking lol tabs are my best friend
AWesome vid! helped alot thanks. I've been tring to learn this song by ear but have been getting a bit lazy as well as learn some funk scales. You made it easy for me thanks.
@bladesaint21 thanks Im glad you found it useful. That's my goal, I want to give people something unique, put my own personal signature on it. and connect people to the music in a primal, organic, and intuitive way

@talbarfm Thank you--I'm glad you found it helpful. I do it that way because that's how I like to learn things, so I'm happy that you appreciate that.
you have helped me so much.. you are an amazing bass guitarist... you tell yourself your no where near as good as flea?? your nearly there dude. don't wast your amazing tallent.. grab it by the balls and take it!!!!
Man! You're an awsome pedagogue! you didn't just show the song, you also explained at a deeper stage in order to understand the basics of funk. you're my hero (posted from sweden)
@06pedrycb Thank you for the kind words. Yes I've come to realize that I need to kick it up a notch by adding tab graphic overlays, maybe some split screen, PIP effects etc. My set-up is pretty bare bones, but probably the first thing I need to get is a more sophisticated video editing program, so I can at least add some type of tablature overlays
@40gilad hi, and thanks for the question! I gotta admit that my popping and slapping skills are not the most superb. I'm actually finger plucking here, though I often do play funk and soul style using a pick as well
