  • lol. im sorry i let anything go in my ass..that's EXIT only. and apparenlty you dont know how to read. " hooked on phonics..WORKS...FUCKtard. game over. you lose. get over it..the end. done.

  • @Ebotman16 i have no idea this was 7 months ago

  • @geekforlifevandc um. you wrote " i have no idea this was 7 months ago " about 7 days ago. um. that was around april 21st 2011. - jan 13 2009 is ALOT more difference of 7 months ago. lol. *(shakes his head laughing) comon people. we're not all geniuses but i learned how to TELL time on an analog watch by the age of 5. I learned how realistically add and subtract time by the age of 13. it's not that hard

  • @chronofusion it says 7 months ago smarty pants

  • @geekforlifevandc ok apparnelty you DONT HAVE THE CONCEPT of " reading and comprehending something ". REREAD your quote...then reread MY 15 HOURS OR LESS AGO RESPONSE..AND USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. again FOR THE LAST TIME..the difference IN TIME between april 21 2011 and jan 13 2009 IS NOT 7 months. when ya learn how to add and subtract time. YOU WILL REALIZE I AM RIGHT and MIGHT grow enough conversational common sense to know not to reply with such a fucktarded comment. ya lost. GET OVER IT

  • @chronofusion ur retarted im not talking about the second comment i maid im talking about the first one so get ur finger out ur ass and relax

  • i like him lol:D i using hp mini 110-1000 with windows 7 and its great!

  • I'm currently running windows vista on an emachines em350. It is for whatever reason faster than windows 7 on this machine :S

  • @sillychicken599 so you have completely formated and wiped clean that hard drive.and all it's pre set partitions (from when the emachines people set them up to install vista and the recovery parition) and did a CLEAN " custom" install of win 7 *nothing else special* on that same computer..to test whether or not win 7 is slower than vista? AH..YEAH..BULLSHIT...win 7 actually LIKE XP runs the SAME TASKS same dependability same speed as xp versus vista using LESS resources. you're welcome.

  • @chronofusion Yea dude i did completely wipe the system and did clean installs of both operating systems (xp came with it). I wanted to play around with these operating systems to see which one is fastest. In my particular experience Vista seemed a lot snappier than 7. As I said the netbook came with XP so I wiped it and install Vista Ultimate and 7 Ultimate. None of the operating systems had all the bloat ware that eMachines puts on their systems. Please think before you speak.

    Adam

  • @sillychicken599 actually ya need to stop bullshitting yourself and TRYING to bullshit me..You're the one that needs to think before you speak. You apparently NEGLECTED to mention whether or you installed BOTH o.s.'s as a dual boot into the same storage drive. THIS IS ONE of the few stipulations that MAKES A DIFFERENCE in how ACCURATE you can see the difference in performance overall between the two o.s. Dont try to insult my intelligence. 10 yr gaming pc builder with over 40 completed.

  • @sillychicken599 so bottom line...believe whatever that dee dee deeeee world of yours tells you to believe. I know FROM EXPERIENCE of EXACT EQUAL HARDWARE SPECS of two exaclty equal computers...only difference. one had vista ultimate x64 the other has win 7 ultimate x64 in EVERY task (except running dskchk in cmd prompt) THE WIN 7 MACHINE COMPLETED the task QUICKER whether by a small margin or a big one. YA LOST...GET OVER. MOVE ON. THE END. DONE. YOU'RE WELCOME. Next time dont be a dick

  • @chronofusion That is YOUR experience on YOUR hardware. Not MY experience on MY hardware. I am not the one being a dick. Not to sound like a first grader but you started this. I was speaking of My experience. I didn't say vista is faster than 7 end of. You started on me for no reason at all. You are acting like a complete child.

    Adam

  • I have a HP 110 with Windows 7 (I'm using it right now XD) it was only $250 and it is super fast. It is HD, and very bright. I even use After Effects, and it works great, I love my HP 110!!! :D

  • Comment removed

  • mis-done diiid whata fuck are you smoking

  • Does it have an esata connection?

  • can i have it? i dont have any thing to do my parents are greedy! PPLLZZ!!

I dont even have a computer im at THE LIBRARY!!!!!

  • HP Mini 110 is cheap now

  • My hp mini 110 is running mac osx. leopard

  • and windos 7

  • I'm looking for a netbook that will last a few years that is able to be upgraded as fast as technology moves forward. It would be nice to have it last for 3 to 4 years without running out of memory.

  • Lol at 8:52 - Bwana.

  • I have A dell, toshiba, and HP and they are all CTRL, FN, Windows, ALT

  • i seen one dat has 160gb hard drive do u guys recommend it its on walmart.?

  • there is one for 350 on ebay

  • The MSI Wind is currently the fastest netbook, if you overclock the processor by pressing Fn+F10, you get 2 GHz out of the processor.

You can also add an extra gig of RAM, making it the fastest netbook on the market, and for 250 bucks, it's a steal.

  • Where have you seen it for $250? Best I could find was at $289.99.

  • if thats not anti-glare, does it bother u by any chance??

n also is that one the hp mini 1000 mi??

    the 1 for $279??

  • If i have a G router and get this it will be fine but if i had an N router would it be bad like is the wifi card going to go out of date soon because if so i dont want to go buy a big sticking out USB N Wifi adapter :(

  • A wireless G adapter is compatible with an N router, with the limit of only going 54 MBPS when N can go much faster. By the way, an N card would not be any bigger if you found the right one....

  • Does anyone know what SCREENSAVER that is? I LOVE IT~!!!!! Let me know Please!

  • That is a screensaver that is built into Mac OS X

  • i seroiusly don't think that's a mistake, its a purposeful area, all HP laptops that i've seen have the same here, it makes it easy to find the ctrl button if you copy and paste with the keyboard shortcuts.

    i like it.

  • you know i use to watch Chris alot but this video make me dislike this dude

the ctrl-fn-windows-alt comement, look before you bitch about something chris

    and he's not a nerd

    he's a dork

  • As an HP notebook user, its something you get used to.

Ctrl-Fn-Windows-Alt seems preferable after getting used to it

  • its like that alson on my Dell Latitude

  • yes, this is not a manufacturing error. many notebooks/netbooks are assembling their keyboards this way.

  • @dalonzo81 mines like that and i dont really care

  • i've been an hp notebook user for four years, and i'm having problems with my mother's MSI. it's really something you have to get used to.

  • you should hackintosh your hp mini chris

  • talk to acer to about the fn and alt key, i actually prefer the ctrl key at the end so i can feel for it

  • Unfortunately I must disagree with your analysis of the keyboard FCN, CTRL, WIN, ALT order. I believe that CTRL should come first as it does cause problems for those of us that are used to desktop keyboards (and have learned to type on them) and for those of us that use our laptops/netbooks for gaming purposes. The MSI wind has the fcn in the corner and I can see that as the only reason why I would ever return the netbook. Could it be that you are more used to the Mac order of the keys?

  • Super nerd!

I'm not calling you a super nerd cos you have a pretty epic setup at the back but the fact that you have a laptop with a picture of you on the lid LOL super awesome dude!

  • haha samsng nc10 is 10x beter, 1gb ram, 6 cell battery, atom procesor, and 160 gb hd

  • mine goes ctrl Fn windows alt and mines a acer aspire....

  • im using one right now

  • I have the same as the HP on my Sony Vaio...

  • It's better than the EEEPC key layout. They placed the right shift key after the arrow keys, which is kind of confusing.

  • On my channel I also did a review of the HP Mini 1000, check it out

  • keys are fine, The keyboard hitting the LCD when closed not fine. Keyboard Wavy not True flat. Battery on bottom "NO 9 cells for the MINI" Cheap feeling Mouse buttons I could go on.. The Asus machines feel solid. Yep I own a HP MINI that Im Not real happy with.

  • Oh also the SSD version HP MINI has Three USB ports the HDD version you lose the One USB port on the Rear Right side.

  • wait, so my Sony VGN-CS215J Viao, made a mistake of putting "CTRL" "FN" "WINDOWS BUTTON" AND "ALT", wait, let me look at my ACER mini, oh what do you know, same as Sony and HP. I think you were mistaken about the CTRL FN being switched. I think you're speaksing of ASUS EEEEEEEEerrrk

  • I have the same thing for my Dell laptop. xDD

  • DUDE! The fact that chris thinks its wrong, doesent mean it HAS to be like he says so! Ctrl then Fn, i have it on my dell and on the acer... SAAME!

  • shut the FUCK up

  • you are telling us that it's a big mistake of putting the function key between ctrl and windows logo but i think the contrary. My brother has a Gateway laptop where the function key is at the left of the control key and, because i am writing without looking at my keyboard, i am always pressing "fn" when i want to press control and this annoye me so much. so it depends for the type of user. It's not a mistake, it's only the fact that you don't like the fact the buttons are posponed.

  • you sound like tom delong lol

  • 17" is laptop! This guy is WHACK!!! Incomplete review. Didn't even mention about the screen gloss. Engeneering mistake? Come on dude. Thats why you're in YouTube pretending to be a "big shot host." The guy who design this is a REAL engeneer not pretending.

  • ud think these things would overheat wouldnt u?

  • Look's like a nice little netbook. Sounds and look's good for the money. To bad on the key layout in the bottom left.

  • You all are just a fat bitch.

  • meh a lot of ppl still call it a laptop. (notebook)Guess it all depends on who you are around.

  • hehe it's a little baby laptop...

  • HP has done that for quite a while. My new dv9910us has ctrl+fn+windows+alt. Isn't that what he said? I've never had trouble.

  • netbook is 10" below, notebook is 11" to 15.4"

I got the Acer Aspire One but I return it. The wireless card is not that strong. Getting the Toshiba NB100.

  • Di u ge6t a new logo??? i like it, nice dude. How u make it, like powerpoint or something???

  • I have a dell inspiron mini 9, with intel atom proccessor, and im in the process of getting xp on it, bc ubuntu crashed! And i love it, could use a disk drive and a lil bigger keyboard! They also put some keys in the wrong spot!

  • What processor, and does it run windows or linux?

  • What are you talking about retard!!! The keyboard design is just fine!!! Look at any keyboard it goes from Ctrl, Fn, Win and Alt. Your not an engineer.

  • I agree My HP "Laptop" has ctrl fn win alt.

  • I've always used control/function/windows alt (most of the laptop keyboards I've used were mapped like that) and the acer aspire one has that similar trackpad. However, I do agree that the price is way too high compared to other netbooks...

  • Can u add Microsoft Word cuz theres no disc drive???

  • Sure, you could put it on a usb flash drive and mount it on a "virtual drive"

  • IS this a good netbook

  • get an msi wind. look at his videos, its easy to (cough) hackintosh. (cough)

  • Actually, about the Function and Control Key placement. I think that the way HP did it is better because when I first got my laptop (which had the Function Key the way you liked, Bottom Left Key) I kept hitting the Fn Key when I actually ment to hit the Ctrl key because I'm used to that key being the bottom left key on the keyboard.

  • dude exactly how many computers do u have?

  • in his home office i believe he has 3 netbooks (eee pc, hp mini, and the msi wind), a 24 inch imac, mac mini, mac pro, hp touchsmart pc, and a macbook pro. and i think thats it in his office he has various computers through out his home

  • geez think he has enough :P

  • YEAH!@

  • bagels like you are whats wrong with our countrys economy today support local business...

  • the keyboard this supposed to be like that, my laptop, and my bros, my moms, and my dads are all in that order...

  • just get a keyboard and mouse if u hate them

  • On my Toshiba Satellite the Windows key is in the top right, and it goes Ctrl > Fn > Alt

  • Hmm, Chris, Ctrl > Fn > Windows > Alt is the standard. That's how all the keyboard layouts are done on laptops that are available here. The same goes for other countries.

In fact, Fn > Ctrl > Windows > Alt would be a mistake.

  • My gateway FX is Function, Control, Windows Alt

  • Okay. That doesn't make it less unusual though :') I've personally never seen them, and it doesn't seem very intuitive to me haha.

  • I bought the same netbook for my dad.. It is great, the keyboard is big and easy to type and the screen is really bright!! The only things i dislike is the mouse buttons on the sides of the trackpad and the scrolling part of the trackpad. Its a small trackpad and my finger always goes over the right side where you can scroll up and down a page. Its annoying when you have to find where you are again. Thats why i use a bluetooth travel mouse :).....Other than that it looks really styley!!!

  • iv only seen one laptop that has fn ctrl windows alt, and i got REALLY confused, as i touch type

  • why the hell i need windows key... oh right... i have macbook ... hahahahaha

  • lol, me too

  • Every single laptop has the layout CTRL, Fn, Windows, Alt

  • other notebook has the same 4 lower left hand keys..ctrl fn window and alt. ?

  • fn > ctrl > Super > alt would really screw things up... ^o)

  • These "netbooks" are the realization that has been a LONG time in the making. But, I think these companies are leaving a VERY valuable feature behind with their newer designs. That feature is the SOLID STATE DRIVES that Asus began their netbook line using. Of course - the spining disk is cheaper for more storage space. But with a device such as these "ultra-portables", portability is the key word. With enough shaking, spinning drives crash - but SSDs are solid state so they are more durable.

  • Uhhh, CTRL, Fn, Windows, Alt is standard Chris. My notebook and my friend beside me, that's how it's laid out.

  • slowly the screens are making there away around until you won,t be able too see chris :)

  • Why would Ponzi want one of these when she already has the Macbook Air? Oh, that's right "you can never have too many computers" that house must be loaded with them.

  • I forgot to throw in that my laptop is ctrl, Fn, Windows, Alt

Maybe at one time that wasn't the standard though?

  • Funny of him mentioning that the Keys (Ctrl/Fn/Windows/Atl) are placed wrong. Almost every laptop I've used has the keys in that way (Dell Laptops, Compaq, HP, Asus Aspire 1).

So I really don't understand why he says that the keys are placed wrong. I've been using laptops for 7 yrs now, and almost everyone of them has that deault configuration of the keys.

  • ERROR??? I have a top notch acer computer and have my function key between the Ctrl and the windows key!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Toshiba laptops our school uses does that with the FN key too. They've given us ultra portables. With a HUGE CTRL key and a stupid small FN key.

  • it is also over priced and lacks ports that cheaper ones have

  • its a great computer and looks nice and feels soo nice to type on but they really failed with the low 60gb Hard Drive I mean come on my Acer Aspire one has 120GB!!

  • mines is ctr fn windows alt

  • Apple is missing the boat on these netbooks

  • you and the people in the chatroom are supernerds

  • I still want a net book with a robot arm to jerk me off when surfing porno.

  • the last three laptops i've had have had it that way round

  • nice video. I did it earlier than you! lolz

  • what is that screensaver? its great!!

  • yeah the trackpad on/off function is nice, my bro has it on his HP laptop

  • My laptop has CTRL fn Windows Alt and I think it's much better like that. I would be the opposite, always hitting fn by accident instead of CTRL.

  • Chris has more computers than I've ever seen one person own in my life, and they all work, and they're all various os formats

  • Yea your right men

  • It looks nice but its not as good as the Acer Aspire One (price wise).

  • thats the layout for all notebooks or at least all the ones i have i have a really old one and the layout is the same and the one i have now is the same also then again it's HP also

  • Well, my old HP laptop (nx6110) has the keys Ctrl, fn, win, alt in that order too. This might haven't been a mistake lol

  • what happens if you want to do intensive HD Video editing or play an intensife game

  • instead it makes waffels!

  • That's the exact netbook my brother has :D

  • ok this is my last comment but it's more of a question what os?

  • operating system

    example-windows vista home premium

  • one more thing the touch pad is a bigger issue but it was nesscessary in order to make the computer more compacted

  • sorry chris but i don't think that key thing is a big issue and i don't think it's a big misstake because i have a dell inspiron 1505 and that's how my keys are ..in fact i think that is a laptop style keyboard but i'll just need to do more looking at that

  • so basicly they sent you a free pc and you said it was shit haha there never going to send you any think agan haaha

  • i have advent 5302 2gb ram 1.83GHz 250gb hd

  • ctrl fn win alt is better because _always_ ctrl is the first button on all desktop keyboards

  • i was going to get a netbook like that but hen i decided to get a apple iBook G3

  • LOL

  • i have a HP pavilion LAPTOP

it also has Ctrl > FN > Windows > ALT

  • You cant dude,i have two 20inch monitors which have a small pixel on and after sending them back to aoc they new ones they sent well refurbished units still had the pixel on,so my guess is you either have an old or rubbish make monitor!

  • Hey, how would you go about getting a stuck blue pixel off of a 22" lcd monitor?

  • my keys are like that and im using a dell e5500 lattitude lol not hp so it isnt a engeneering fault check out my set up i recently got it finished so decided to make a vid guys check it out

  • dont you have work?

  • how is that a "netbook?" my desktop (using now) has a 1.8GHz P4, 1GB RAM, onboard video, 80 GB and I use it for a lot more than web browsing! oeioke are too used to speed that tey DONT NEED. I program, use AutoCAD/Adobe CS products, Run Office 2007, the whole nine yards just fine!

  • Its much smaller and portable.

  • im sure you dont game with it

  • compared to other cpu's today. Most are above 2GHz. Depends what you do i doubt that you can run hardcore photoshop on urs and dont say you can because i lag on my 2.4GHz running photoshop. So its just what you need, and comparing it to today

  • You know Chris. You are most likely going to say to me. Gee, your an ideot.. But, I need to say it! I couldn't stand carrying a Windows computer in my computer bag. The amount of trouble Windows gave me is unforgettable. Mac is my best friend. You shouldn't betray best friends!!! lol

  • Actually all hp notebooks and netbooks have Ctrl, Fn, Window, Alt the reason they did that for easy Ctrl, alt, delete

  • my mum has one of those, there pretty good.. i still love my macbook better;)

  • hey chris

netbook is another word for UMPC

Which have been around for years. Sony make UMPC's the Sony Vaio UX is one of them.

  • vaio ux s a piece of shit

  • @TheNitrohp

    100% agreed

  • ASUS EEE PC 1000HA is very nice!

  • oh chris - my dell laptop has ctrl-fn-windows-alt - you need the redesign, not the keyboard

  • the name "laptop" is good - because that way it's computer and contraception

  • really small :D you've got me interested in buying one chris!

  • This geek never stops posting videos.

  • My Sony Vaio SZ120 (2 years old) has Ctrl-FN-Windows-Alt in the lower left hand corner so I would say it's typical for sub notebooks/netbooks and not an engineering mistake.

  • all hp notebooks have the order ctrl,fn,windows, alt

  • Eee!

  • this is a review NOT UNBOXING.

  • 5th commetns

  • whats the screensaver in the background?

  • you rock!i saw your speech at macworld and you totally rocked chris!

  • very nice

  • first :), good vid.
