  • just wondering, i just ordered an item off ebay, a saiga 12 lrbho and its was from your store? im wondering if u had any info on installing it. and i cant find it anywhare

  • @clyse88 We do not sell anything on Ebay. I do not recommend the LRBHO as it is very difficult to install.

  • Thank you so much.. I couldn't get the safety lever in.. stupid me.. should have installed the trigger pin before the hammer pin.

  • Video is great I wish I knew about the ziptie trick earlier. I'm wondering about the access pins. Mine seem to be lose but I haven't done anything to them. Am I missing something? Any input is appreciated.

  • @cdchambers1 There is a spring or a plate that can be used to secure the pins in place.

  • You are a life saver my friend. I spent all night trying to puzzle this out myself and finally relented and checked for a vid. Thank you very much. My Saiga 12 is now rebuilt!

  • @Anarki23x Use a 3/16" drill bit in the hole first and then push the plugs in.

  • this video helped me build my 308.. acess pin retaining spring.. pain in the ass.. the rest pretty much fell into place..

  • Thanks for the videos.I just installed my conversion from Carolina Shooting Supplies The hammer needed a bit of grinding as it would stick due to a slight lip . I also had to grind a bit from the pin support. If not enough is taken off; the pin will not sit correct. The pin must be all the way in. Took a few tries but got it done thanks to the videos. DO NOT USE RUST O LIUM PAINT!! IT SUCKS! Ill have to re do it some other time.

  • Thanks for keeping me stocked with parts & shipping at warp-speed Greg.

    You rock!

  • Okay....

Who're the two idiots that thought this was worth disliking?

And what in THEE-hell would you do better?

  • In order to make it compliant you have to actually replace the trigger and the trigger guard?

  • @milkygreat To make it compliant you need 5 US parts. The trigger group counts for 3.

  • @carolinashooters

So if I have a Tapco Stock and Grip set, and some US made magazines and a Gas piston would that be considered acceptable or will i have to actually dig the guts out of the trigger and guard?

  • @milkygreat As long as you have 5 US parts.

  • @carolinashooters does the bolt hold lever have to be modified on the saiga rifles in order for the pistol grip conversion to work. i saw the conversion on your website based on the saiga 12 i didnt understand if i needed to buy a modified bolt hold open lever for the 223 or is that just for the saiga 12. and is there a big difference in the conversion and the tapco t-6 stocks is it better to do the conversion or is it just as good to do the tapco t6 stock? thanks for any info

  • @redmule02 The bolt hold open does not need to be modified on the rifle conversions. The biggest plus of the conversions is that is gives you a 4lb good trigger instead of the 15lb factory. It also balances the gun a little better with the pistol grip under the receiver.

  • Thanks for the video. I did a Form 1 and got the stamp to shorten mine to 12.5". I finally got around to doing the conversion.

  • After installing as shown my BHO won't stay in place. The top pops up and over toward the interior of the receiver jamming my bolt open. In other words it won't stay in place up against the receiver. Sometimes the spring leg comes off the BHO and other times it doesn't but the result is the same, I have to remove the stock to force it down and back into position so the bolt will go forward. I've ordered the your BHO Lever Kit, is there something missing that holds that lever in place?

  • @hunaforlife1 The front is held in place with the hammer axis pin. The back is held down with the BHO Spring that the back axis pin goes through. You do not have one of these installed correctly.

  • Very good, very helpful. I didn't have to modify any of my trigger parts in order to install them. I suggest that before you file off any metal that you try to install your parts as they are.

  • At 0:57, does the axis pin go through the spring's hole as well ? Been trying like hell to do this, with no sucess. Thanks for your help and response .

  • @BrokenTengu99 Yes it does. Watch the Saiga 12 conversion video part 4. It shows it a little better.

  • i want one of your guy's safety selector lever for my ak... would it work on a romainian ak 47? if so does this video come in handy when installing it?

  • @daneinskeep Yes it will work on the Romanian and is easy to install.

  • @daneinskeep somebody wants to go fullauto!

  • Shaved off some of the insert on the buttstock, drilled a larger hole to accommodate the stock saiga screws, and had to cut off some of the bottom of the screw with a dremel cut off wheel. Fits snug now, and isn't going anywhere.

  • Thanks to this video, the trigger was supper easy to install, thanks!

The only issues I had was somehow I installed the triggerguard backwards and it bent with the pistol grip install. Also, the tapco ak buttstock wiggles some. Anything I can do to fix that?

  • I bought the conversion kit #1 from your website.. will the BHO work directly with it, or will modifications need to be made?

  • @aekdbbop The kits have the modified trigger group that works with the BHO. The video talks about what is needed to be done to an unmodified FCG as far as grinding it in the correct spots. The modified ones are drop in for conversions.

  • @carolinashooters

perfect.. thanks! I am nervous about doing it, but excited.

  • @aekdbbop It is very easy. The first conversion takes around 1-2 hrs. The next one will take you 30-40 minutes.

  • You must move the trigger guard forward with all of the US made triggers. The linkage system is not compatible.

  • is this just a drop in trigger or do you hav e to move the trigger guard up?

  • Thank you very much for this video. It was exactly what I was needing to see. Made my conversion go MUCH easier.

  • Great video CSS! Do you know if the Saiga 410 BHO is meant to hold the bolt more forawrd than the other guns? Mine doesn't let the bolt clear the magazine. Seems to be about 1.5" too far forward. Maybe I got a rifle BHO in it?

    Thanks

  • I learned new swear words by the time I was done converting mine.

  • Ugh, I wanted to just chuck my BHO when I tried to install it on my converted IZ-132. Finally had to tie some fine string around the spring to hold it down long enough to put the axle pin through. If I had to do it all over again, I'd install the BHO, only with the rifle in a vice and with the outside temperature sitting below 80. :D

  • Is this on a converted riffle? or stock?

  • You just saved me hours of labor! Great video!

  • somehow my axis pin retaining spring does not go in all the way when i did my conversion..But the pins are still held in place and will not drop out..What do you think?

  • excellent video. thanx for sharing.
