  • Best band ever .... R.I.P (Rock in peace)

  • Ummm... Absolute WOW!

  • R.I.P ಥ_ಥ

  • Just heard you guys are breaking up....This greatly saddens me

  • It's a freaking awesome album, but still I can't get over the fact that this chorus almost sounds like a metal version of "hit me baby one more time".

  • this song is so dramatic and epic. i don't have the album yet, but it would make a great outro song

  • this song is an absolute masterpiece.

  • I dont know why more metal heads dont like stuff like this!!!

Its so amazing! They dont get the right exposure they deserve..

    these guys are aliens!! :D

  • I love how this band sounds awesome even through crazy line up changes and i love even more how that pisses off a lot of people.

  • The part that begins at 4:47 is fucking gold, gets me in the best mood!

  • Fucking Lady Antebellum, I had to type the band's name to find this song.

  • @CrackThoseClaws Who's lady Antebellum...?

  • @ray625164

Some whore that shows up when I search for "antebellum".

  • if you play guitar you can appreciate this to a whole other level.

  • @EmbodimentOfTheDark Ikr??? It's really great guitar work.

  • they have so much more talent than fucking poser bands like adtr

  • more sweeps then a broom closet

  • more talent than a one legged soccer player.

  • I just discovered these guys now.

    Holy fuck, it's amazing.

  • @massacre37 I saw them live last week. It was amazing. I couldn't do anything but stand there in awe.

  • only 3 guys have shit in their ears...

  • travis left again. FFS i hate it when bands constantly change their line-up. he was pretty much perfect too. the only thing i didn't like about him was the fact that he used to be in 'from first to last'.

  • This album is good! Stop fucking crying!!

  • i dare someone give me a better album in 2011 the this one

  • @jadedfeelings21

I have three for you, maybe not better but on par at least:

    Obscura - Omnivium

    Gorod - Transcendence

  • @MrStupitube You may forgot

    Vader,

    Krisiun (which is comming out),

    Svartsot

    and many more bands lol.

  • @jadedfeelings21 Eh i dunno i like this album a fairly ammount but i'd have to say

Animals as leaders - Weightless right-hooked me into a coma.

  • two ppls havent an audio device.

  • this needs more hits. This is brilliant yet people have no taste. Its sad. I praise you "The human Abstract"

  • OMGZ. THIS OR THAT WAS THEIR MASTERPIECE. MY DICK IS BIGGER.

  • travis left..... :(

  • The song Nocturne was better than Vela imo. Vela was kinda boring except for the beginning.

  • Vela is the most overrated song on Nocturne, I personally think every song on Nocturne is a masterpiece not just Vela

  • No way dude, Vela is so much better than Crossing the Rubicon.

  • imagine this with 1080 hd!

  • If anyone knows where I can download the long-ass instrumental bonus track off of digital veil please message me with the link or the site name thanks a lot, been looking everywhere for it.

  • @camstr What? I bought the album, it didn't come with a long instrumental...

  • 0:44 - 1:20 The best part! I'm trying to learn this:)

  • What is wrong with me, I hate metal, but this is the only song I have listened to for the past 4 days.

  • @Incompatiblez nothing is wrong with you, it just took you some time to discover that metal is awesome ;)

  • 2:57 WITH A PLASTIC SPOON!!!

  • protest the hero, the human abstract, between the buried and me, the fall of troy and the contortionist. They all have their own take on awesome.

  • @thtdudewiththehair my favorite bands!

  • @thtdudewiththehair more like they should all tour and it would be the greatest tour in the history of mankind

  • @thtdudewiththehair born of osiris? substructure? sikth?

  • @thtdudewiththehair People seem to think they can't enjoy all of them for some reason haha.

  • @thtdudewiththehair And Periphery. Do NOT forget Periphery. THA + Periphery + The Contortionist tour was THE SHIT.

  • Move over ADTR. New favourite band here.

  • @toxicthoughts747 Lol it sickens me A Day To Remember were ever your favourite band...

  • Comment removed

  • @BumbaClan If you really wanna vomit, MSI and The Left Rights will always be my #1. ;) Problem?

  • @toxicthoughts747 Not really a problem - it's just that THA are at the pinnicle of music and MSI & ADTR are for 14 year old girls to listen to.

  • @BumbaClan Maybe I'm a 14 yr old girl, honkey ;D

  • @toxicthoughts747 In that case, lets fuck.

  • @clwnz777 HOT

  • which 1 person in this world doesn't have a soul?

  • words cannot describe the beauty in this song and album. this has to be the greatest masterpiece since masterpieces have been capable of being made.

  • AJ IS THE FUCKING MAN! FUCK!

  • @Susyownsyou preaching to the mother fucking choir bro, that shit was utter ridiculousness! instant Masterpiece

  • @krowcing FUCKN TITS!

  • this band is like an updated version of BTBAM

  • @juanseybold not even close. and define updated, btbam released an ep not long ago

  • @LordBunbuns Updated as in featuring more mainstream metalcore attributes, but still retaining a decent amount of proggyness. It was a joke bro. I realize BTBAM still makes music.

  • fucking love 4:45 great song!

  • @krat876: not forgetting the technical brilliance of PTH in every way. drums, guitar, bass, vocals...

  • Amazing

  • The one person who disliked this must've been deaf

  • @Trivium4266 AhahahahaAHAHAHahahahaHAHAHAAHahahahah

    Original shit

  • @Trivium4266 AHAHAHAHA I bet that def dude was looking at the screen like

"WHY CANT I LISTEN TO YOU!"

    xD!@@$#!@!!!

  • @Susyownsyou most like lmao XD

  • this chorus is so damn addicting, I keep hearing the sweeps in my head :D

This happened with Vela and Mea Culpa too...

  • the only problem with this band is how it organize its riffs in the songs . .

it should be with a structre . . it sounds most of the time like tons of riffs which

has no emotional \ song progress connection to them . . .

like its a bunch of riffs with no thinking about what kinda of riffs they are -

    verse \ chorus . . pre chorus . .

vella , echelons and more 3 \ 4 songs are the only songs which you can feel the real connection between the riffs and progress in the song ...

    but whatever

  • @krat876 I disagree, I think The Human Abstract overthinked the contexts in their songs really good.

  • @krat876 Yes but in an interview with AJ it talks about the difference between classical music and how music is nowadays. Classical music always has multiple variations of different melodies and all that. While today, music will occasionally have slight variations like slight note changes or a slightly different rhythm. AJ wanted to use a lot of his classical training that he learned during his years when he was not in The Human Abstract. Some people do like it it, while others don't. Subjective

  • @deejdejayy28 yea , it has more similar structure to classical music then to metal music . .

and although i play piano a lot , i don't like classical music most of the time ...

and if you want to find a really good band . . that uses both great structure , great melody , and really unique sound - search for "protest the hero" . . .

  • @krat876 Protest the Hero are talented as HELL but they don't do it for me. BTBAM does it for me good.

  • @krat876 THA and PTH are my two absolute favorite bands. <3 __ <3

  • @krat876 I'm inclined to disagree, I feel a ton of emotion in this song, I feel like the structure and design are masterful in painting the image they intended, but everyone perceives things differently, what sounds like sweetest symphony to one person sounds like trashcans and bunji cords to others, but your entitled to your opinion ;)

  • @krat876 Bro, you are VERY wrong in terms of Music Theory in saying that The Human Abstract doesn't have a structure. Antebellum is a Sonata, which if you don't know, is a VERY famous structure to music, especially in Western Art Music. 0:00-2:54 is the first part, the Exposition. 2:54-5:50 is the second part, the Development. And 5:50-7:29 is the third and final part, the Recapitulation.

  • @RoastyisToasty not a big fan of these guys, but the lead guitarist definitely knows what hes doing. now whether hes writing what he knows out, that is your decision. i think its very simply put, "arpeggiate, sweep, repeat" for the majority of their songs but when i went to see scale the summit last month, chris was telling me how he was finishing up his class for classical guitar and at shows he sits in the back playing classical music backstage like crazy. hes talented, not my taste.

  • man aj can sweep

  • @rockntroopen that's not AJ

  • why the fuck is rebecca black in the suggestions

  • @CaptainContradiction yeah wtf?! tis bitch sucks. its like putting a justin bieber video next to a pink floyd video

  • I dont know if anyone noticed or not, but the picture is getting bigger...

    1:35

    6:25

    Enjoy

  • I dont know if anyone noticed or not, but the picture is getting bigger...

  • im sitting here smoking a bowl shitting my pants at how awesome this is...

  • Around 1:26 that totally reminded me of Muse, and a lot of the soft vocal parts is what Muse would probably sound like if they went the metal route lol. Used to love that band before I got into metal. Brings back memories but with a much better sound.

  • I just added 20 views to this video.

  • I loved nocturne, didnt think much of midheaven and love this!

  • Their new vocalist is awesome

  • Comment removed

  • I shit a brick and came at the same time, I don't know if it's good or bad, but this song caused it.

  • This album is so sick I'm actually gonna buy it and not torrent it.

  • This is their masterpiece now. Not Vela.

  • @Striball das what i been sayin

  • @Striball yeah but vela still kicks some serious ass

  • @Striball Vela is still their masterpeice. This just happends to be the newer one.

  • @Striball any reason that they can't both be masterpieces?

  • @toxicapathy cuz vela isnt a masterpiece... at all... crossing the rubicon is more of a masterpiece on that album

  • @FontanaSam whatever bro. haters gonna hate. I admit the old singers voice sucked cock. but the sweeping that aj does in vela will never be topped.

  • @toxicapathy Their singer is the reason they were good. You can always get other guitarists to play the same thing. Can't have singers sing the same. Only same pitches.

  • @Pianomantodd1 Yeah, good luck finding guitar players to just step right into that. Fucking idiot.

  • @12warlock ha yeah. what the fuck. Listen to midheaven.

  • @12warlock Great point. This band wants to find a guitarist that is shitty. Good thought process there. Fucking retard.

  • @Pianomantodd1 They have a very specific writing process, I doubt anyone could just step in and start writing THA songs, they are not THA without the guitarists. The end. Begin gargling my sack, thank you

  • @12warlock Cute how you fail to make sense. My point was a guitarist can imitate other guitarists, so you can find replacements. The human voice is unique and can almost never be perfectly imitated (not counting pitches)

  • @Pianomantodd1 If you were a musician at all, you'd know how ridiculous these guys' songs are... the prospect of finding any replacement musicians is a stretch, with vocals being the easiest, followed by drums and guitars and bass the hardest. Their normal riffs tend to be equal to a slower, advanced solo... so lets hop off, and just hope they never need a replacement guitarist, shall we?

  • @Striball Eh, Vela's still a lot better to me, personally. Their entire first album is, to be honest. This stuff is nice, and it's good in its' own way, but that entire first album is so much better in a different way. I wouldn't compare the two, and if I did, I'd think this one's the one coming up short.

  • @TheDarkLens agreed nocturne had the best style!

  • @Striball No. Vela had more in it. Most beautiful piano intro, also the chorus (so catchy it is insane). I do love this album but The things they talk about in this album lyrically don't mean much to me, Nocturne's songs, those all made me feel more human and every time I listened I felt I understood what Life meant. This album... Is just instrumentally great. Nocturne had it all.

  • @Striball I always Thought Mea Culpa Was their Best Work.

  • As a classical musician I feel I have to point out, this is the most harmonically boring of the 3 THA albums. I feel like in bringing AJ's classical influence they also adopted the old 4 voice 18th century way of writing music (which would make sense because that's what you learn in theory courses).

But all of the interesting modern sounding tonality that was in the previous two records is gone here, I feel like Im just listening to arpeggio after arpeggio with little thinking outside the box.

  • @redriverhautbois

Yeah, but dude; AJ was a beast. They're doing the best they can without him and they're still better than a metric ton's worth of assholes than a lot of other bands out there

  • @SynysterKezia AJ is back in the band... He wrote this album. After he finished music school. Hence why I just said it was too traditional classical.

  • @redriverhautbois

Then i both misunderstood and am kind of disappointed...

  • @redriverhautbois I think they have taken a step back, in a good way.

At least its not straight arpeggios for the whole album, there are lots of breaks which have been influenced by different musical styles.

  • @redriverhautbois dude i was thinking the same think. i really like the sound of the song, itz amazing, but the guitars seem to be playing the same thing in arpegios

  • This song is ridiculously good

  • this album was just ridiculously good

  • @YDG777 I completely agree. I gained a whole new level of respect for this band.

  • @YDG777 is*

  • 6:45 touches my soul

  • Where's the Love button????

  • 4:47 could very well be one of my favorite moments in music

  • By the way "With their eyes, their eyes, blindfolded they rise into this world..." Awesome lyric, it's like a homonym but with a phrase. LEGENDARY

  • The key change up at the end where Travis begins "Regiments of Disconnect" again for the last time always makes cringe (in a good way), shiver, and become extremely happy. Great moment.

  • @erockerock238 Actually that's not a key change. The key changes the first time around, so it's a change from the first time that part is played. But the whole recapitulation (starting with the last "we fell asleep) is all in the same key.

  • @AnimistOfficial That is a key change..

  • Favorite and in my opinion the best on the album.

  • 1:40 sounds like linkin park but with more impressive guitar parts

  • From the tracks I've heard so far on Digital Veil, it sounds more like Nocturne than Midheaven, but is not too similar to Nocturne, and likewise Nocturne and Midheaven sound nothing alike to this album really or each other, therefore 3 uniqiue THA albums = win.

  • perfect song

  • Best song on the album! Wish you guys would make an actual music video too, I like the one's you've put out but it'd be great to see your perspective on the music!

  • A beautiful track, one of my favourites from Digital Veil.

It'd be cool if the vocalist had some vibrato on the clean singing, to match the classical style of the overall song. But ya did good.

  • intense.........

  • seriously live for parts like :54

  • This is your masterpiece. Not Vela.

  • @DaltonMunnal Dumbest thing I've ever heard.

  • @DavidWoodMusic thank you

  • i wan the new video

  • yert
