  • Ich finde dieses Lied so stark....Es macht echt gute Laune..und wer kann die nicht gebrauchen, gerade bei diesem "Sommerwetter".....

  • Damn at the beginning I thought I had been Rick Rolled O_o

  • SHES AMAZING

  • LOVE YOU DONNA THEN.. LOVE YOU NOW !!

  • the drugs cut de hapiness in music and composers

  • Comment removed

  • (((((((((((((((((BOOM)))))))))))))))

  • If only we realised and appreciated that at the time, I miss the 80's

  • Nostalgia overflood!

  • I love you donna baby

  • Hatalmas kedvenc!Iszonyat jó zene....

  • I think SAW just had that synthesizer backing track playing all the time in the studio.

  • I hate using expressions such as,"They don't make them like this anymore", but they DON'T,simple as that, lol! Donna Summer was a huge part of the 80s for me,even after she, supposedly, made her comment about AIDS being God's retribution on gays! Other than Streisand,in terms of longevity, there really isn't anyone else quite like her from back then! Summer's best album,in my opinion was "Live and More"

  • Only a few that are here had the golden opportunity like I had, to listen and watch this video on Mmusic when it came out, it brings a deja vu instant to me.....

  • This time I know its for real! Donna summer forever

  • God I Love This Song. Long Live Donna Summer :-)

  • I remenber this pop song at the secundary school i used give rounds compassing this song together....

    Saludos Loreto-Peru

  • I agree with those comments about music and its present lack of direction.Let's hope there's somebody out there with vision to preserve these terrific tunes...

  • Still remember the words!

  • kelly llorenas version is better

  • donna summer the disco queen in the 1970s, but madonna was the disco queen in 1983, in 1985 madonna did disco, dance and new wave and she became the rock queen

madonna the rock queen!!! madonna and donna summer were great performers in rock history

  • Lets hear for the Queen of Disco!

  • Good memories of this song!! We had a family car trip true europe the spring 1989 from Norway, Germany and to Holland, and its was playing in the radio all the TIME..Nice song in good times Thank you from Norway ( i was 17 year old then)

  • I think is the best come back of 1989!

  • @behappy3373 I think 1987 was a better year

  • @haining49 Indeed 1987 was a better year! But Donna Summer made a come back in 1989 with this song like Diana Ross did, but Donna Summer was for me the best comeback.

  • I used to love this song!!!

  • written by the same guys who wrote for Rick Astley. Definitely their signature sound

  • @mimidec67 Extremely well written. Slick tonal center changes from major to melodic minor, with a lyrical, non-forced melody. Perfect orchestration and superb string counterpoint, the composers/arrangers of this particular piece were no hacks to be sure! Take that from a major label's recording studio musical director/composer/arranger. This was Donna's strongest tune, musically, next to her cover of MacArthur Park, a total masterpiece from Webb.

  • So many freaking ways to do the running man! :-) I Love Donna.

  • Great song and a very well done fun to watch video!

  • Boston's own Donna Summer!

  • thesexiest!!!!!

  • This song brings a flood of memories to me, gone but never forgotten....

  • @slej2001: Me too. Me too...

  • When I hear this, I wanna die... cause this means memories, and nothing can be better than those memories... ;)

  • The 80's was the best years of my life...The music was out of this world. Music today is just not the same.

  • wonderful the 80 forever

    xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • wonderful the 80 forever

  • La mejor de todas y hoy y siempre la REINA DE LA DISCO.

  • disco queen!!!!

  • the queen for sure !!

  • Donna Summer vs Diana Ross vs Dionne Warwicke vs Aretha Franklin vs Gladys Knight vs Whitney Houston vs Tina Turner - different genres but who rates as the best?

  • @mishim100

    You've forgotten Laura Brannigan. ;)

Even if I didn't live during the 80's: I really love the music from that era.

  • @FekLeyrTarg I was listing some BLACK female artists who were dominant in the 60-90s. Laura Branigan was awesome (I love the song Self Control) but she was white!

  • @mishim100

Ah, got it. My bad. :)

  • @FekLeyrTarg Her music started before then. She's a true disco diva.

  • @FekLeyrTarg "Her" .....Donna Summer

  • @auaiao9

Especially from her, that's right. :)

  • She has SO magnificent singing voice! Don't fancy this 90's style because reminds me of revolting Rick Astley.

  • @shaahb1 hes from the 80`s too ....and i like his music too , as much as hers !!!!

  • <3 love this song.

  • ♥♥♥♥

  • The only thing that called my attenton in this clip was donna, lol. she's absolutely my fav singer

  • I like this song..Donna Summer the queen of disco :)

Thank you for the video, ciao :)

  • She sung the whole album in just TWO takes.....unbelievable.

  • Super Donna, Queen of Disco, Pop Diva

    La Pantera de Boston.

  • WTF happened to good music these songs were about love and finding happiness.

Not that crap full of violence and hatred towards your fellow man.

Take the C-rappers and drop them on a abandoned island and leave them there to rot.

  • @happymike44 yea dump todays music stars on an island reinstate this music back watch the world be a better place :)

  • This is real music. Far away from the lack of creativity we have to cope with nowadays.

  • i remember this song came out i was 4 yrs old. The 80's were great days

  • e na o te peho,pety e tahi,hausummm

  • I love Donna Summer

  • Donna Summer screwed herself and Career by telling the world she disliked Gay men. Wow! . before making her hate speech she had forgotten something.. Thou shalt not judge.... as a gay man I have no hate for her, just wonder why she hates me.. oh and before I forget isn't it written somewhere thou shalt not hate... Ya Donna Summer she let all us Gay boys know.. she hated us.. Hatred is a horrible emotion and liked to the devil for it breeds evil actions

  • @wild1heart my my you are a sanctimonious little prick, where have you been for the last few years, with your head up your own arse no doubt, before you point that self righteous holy little finger of yours please check your facts.it was proved beyond any doubt,as if there was any, that Donna did not say anything at all about us gay men,who the fuck do you think you are you stuck up preaching little gobshite, now fuck of and spread your evil somewhere else,go get a life.Donna forgives you you arse

  • @queendiva231 Hey punk, no need for that kind of language !! You can disagree with someone but to shoot off your filthy mouth is disgraceful. Say what you need to say and make your point in a civil manner. Facts and opinions need to be sorted out. You also need to ask for forgiveness.

  • @wild1heart You're sick!!! Where the hell have you been?!!!! IT WAS A RUMOR you idiot!!!!! So funny how you still believe this shit that was allegedly said 28 years ago. Get a life douch bag. BTW we saw Donna in November to a sold out crowd & she was awesome.

  • Heard this on the radio today and had forgot what a great song it is. Takes me back to my youth. One of Stock Aiken and Waterman's better ones!

  • Donna makes a comeback!

  • Great song but terrible video, choreography is bad and whats up with the 2 step? Its a pop song not country. Guess just blame it on being the 80's

  • You are right! Donna Summer is and always be the Disco Queen!

  • Spring 1989, what a great time.

  • excelent...

  • Billboard's 92nd hit of 89. Produced by Stock/Aitken/Waterman. Written by them, along with Donna. She hit #2 AC, #7 pop, in the US. (What? Not soul? LOL!). How'd she do in the UK? God bless ya, Miss Donna!

  • @DaveWollenberg Hey Dave - this single peaked at Number Three in UK April 1989. She scored an additional top ten there from this album with "I Don't Wanna Get Hurt" in June. Thanks for your chart data too!

  • @SweptAway529 You're very welcome, my friend. God bless!

  • This song has a Rick Astley tone to it...don't you think?

  • @arturocas90 that's 'cause it was produced by his early production team of Stock/Aitken/Waterman. God bless!

  • @arturocas90 cos she had the same producers SAW.

  • 7 people can´t dance, poor them!

  • SAW masterpiece

  • jajaja!!! was für ein wunderbar kitschig-romantischer Popsong! this time I know its for real!!! Küsschen für Dich, Marco :-)

  • DONNA'S BIRTHDAY IS TODAY DEC 31ST.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    FROM YOUR #1 FAN DEEDUBB1979

  • I also think this was not only her best single but her best album. I could listen to it forever and not tire of it's energy. I used to work out to this album, it was very high energy.

  • one of the best catchy songs ever still love it to bits, u just wanna get up of your arse and dance

  • Classy, Boston lady. Donna is the definition of art.

  • Great song - brings back some good memories from 1989 !!

  • Talk about a Feel Good Song! This was so HUGE in the gay clubs...........people would scream and run for the dance floor! They don't do that anymore. Sad.

  • Love love love this song! So upbeat, and there's just no way you can listen to this and keep your feet still. Got to move. When I get on youtube for a while, this is always the song I end the night with. Good night!

  • Comment removed

  • why does everyone who up-loads a song , cut off the last few seconds of the song, ? is it so hard to let the song play out to the end fade AND THEN hit your stop button !

  • write you're name across the sky backwards!

  • man where did donna summer go. We need he back

  • @robertmarc1

We got her back: Right now she's in Zurich where she's performing at the Art on Ice. BTW, she had another number one dance hit in the US (To Paris with love).

  • @robertmarc1

We got her back: Right now she's performing in Zurich at the Art on Ice shows, she just had another number one dance hit in the US (To Paris with love).

  • this time i know its for real. wow donna you rock girl.

  • Dit waren de tijden voor mij, ieder weekend gingen we uit ons dak zowel in de disco als op straat. Wij waren 1 van de eerste streetdancers in dit land.

  • @MrAgoyvar 80s were such extraordinary years for all kinds of music. You said you were such a very good streetdancer, well, despite I was a child, I remember, as it was yesterday, that my mother was an aerobics teacher when aerobics were the in-voggue exercise and work-out. Now those days are gone, and at this moment there's hip-hop, silly pop, depressive rock and non-sense dance music. I don't know what''s gonna happen with music in a short period of time, I'm so, so, so scared!!!!

  • @RobbieMexico1981 - they were the best years for music 1960-1985, mainly crap after that. This music brings back so many memories of my youth and girlfriends that it hurts a bit

  • @RobbieMexico1981 what is silly pop??? pop is not a specif music style but a broad genre (abbreviation of popular music)

pop music is an abbreviation of popular music

pop music (popular music) is a broad genre that includes rock, country, blues or whatever kind of popular music opposite to classical music

donna summer did great disco/dance music

  • Russian said 'Kick-ass song, Donna super, love it! Simply Diva!'

  • @sueipas I really thank ya' for the translation!

  • @sueipas dontcha just love this music?? lol

  • @MrAgoyvar the dutch said "These were the times for me, every weekend we went from our roof both in store and on streets. We were one of the first street dancers in this country.

    "

  • @MrAgoyvar ja...dit waren de tijden voor mij dus ook

  • Песня обалденая, Донна супер, обожаю ее!!! Просто дива!

  • THANKS TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WATCH "THIS TIME I KNOW IT'S FOR REAL" FROM MY CHANNEL. I'VE UPLOADED ONCE A HALF AND A YEAR AGO. MY BEST WISHES AND BLESSES FOR ALL OF YOU!

  • i use to listen to soft rock growing up and this song just kicked ass, although im not sure its soft rock.

  • @nando90210 Well. Musically it's not soft rock, This song belongs to dance mixed with a little Hi-Energy from late 80s, and Synth-pop. Donna Summer's one of the best singers from 70s. She's very versatile in her style: Pop, Ballad, Funk, Disco, R&B and Dance. Donna Summer's Soft Rock songs could be: "Last Dance", "On The Radio", "To Turn The Stone".

  • catchy, delicious, exciting!

  • reminds me of a happy time in London

  • she's pretty hot..

  • unter gaby ferry kann mans hören oder auch unter meinem kanal ;)

  • Even though she's successful people have never given her enough credit as a vocalist

  • This is tops...this is her best music. She has the voice of an angel, and talent to top even that. MLF

  • Donna Summer has a new single coming out this August, 2010. It's called, "To Paris With Love". There's going to be some great mixes too!

  • Thank God For Donna Summer. She's A Living Legend :))

  • This song has just given me goosebumps all over...

    O my God!

Soraya Arnelas "You´ve got the music"

  • music like this can never be beaten

  • I really do music 80s music and what real music was!!

  • Top track from 1989!!

  • Goofy, nonsensical video, but among the greatest of a great artist's career.

  • I absolutely LOVED this song when it came out in the late 80's.

I was working in town, aged about 17, 18 or 19.

When I used to go out clubbing it, they always played this

song and my friend and I used to dance our feet off.

HAPPY TIMES OF BEING YOUNG, FREE AND SINGLE!
