First off, no one was forcing anybody. There was no forced rebellion. It was a direct attack on press freedom when chavez refused to renew their license. He is censoring the media, like any other dictator would. He has been in power for almost 11 years, and the country is even worse than it was before. The inflation has risen, food shortages have become common, violence is increasing, and human rights have been violated. But you can't see that because you wouldn't believe anyone else but chavez.

The only TV channel from the opposition is Globovision and the government has managed to stop the coverge all over the country so only a fraction of people can actually watch it. First off, no one was forcing anybody. There was no forced rebellion. It was a direct attack on press freedom when chavez refused to renew their license. He is censoring the media, like any other dictator would. He has been in power for almost 11 years, and the country is even worse than it was before. The inflation has risen, food shortages have become common, violence is increasing, and human rights have been violated. But you can't see that because you wouldn't believe anyone else but chavez.

The only TV channel from the opposition is Globovision and the government has managed to stop the coverge all over the country so only a fraction of people can actually watch it. If we talk about of liar newspapers, let´s go to honduras, in that country there is a tabloid called, LA TRIBUNA! They invent BS against Growing in Grace Ministries in order to make people believe that we are the worst scum on earth, Chavez closed RCTV because he thinks RCTV is dangerous (i am not supporting Chavez in that matter) dangerous are liar mass media that manipulates people.

Si hablamos de periodicos mentirosos vamos a honduras, en ese país hay un pasquin mentiroso llamado LA TRIBUNA!, no hacen sino inventar cosas en contra del ministerio Creciendo en Gracia para que la gente crea que nosotros somos la peor porqueria que hay, Chavez cerró RCTV por considerar que le era peligroso, (sin defender a Chavez en ese sentido), peligrosos son medios mentirosos que manipulan la pueblo.

The press araund the world is manipulated by those in the position of power and the rich. RCTV was a tool of mind control in the 70's and 80's, has allways been on the side of the powerfull elite and never help the poor. RCTV went against the constitution when they suported the antidemocratic coup.

y donde dejas venevision, como a ellos si se les renovo la concesion? sea considerada buena o mala la programacion de rctv ellos estan en su derecho de expresar sus pensamientos a igual manera que lo tienen otros canales y hasta el mismo presidente en sus discursos. estar de acuerdo o no con lo que ahi se expresa debe quedar de parte del publico que decida sintonizar la senal.

el presidente chavez ataca en sus discursos a toda aquella persona o pensamiento que no este de acuerdo con su revolucion. socialismo o muerte creo que es uno de sus slogans, eso no es libertad. si hablamos de manipulacion tambien se podria argumentar que venezolana de television es una herramienta de manipulacion del gobierno en pro de la revolucion. con la senal de rctv el publico de sintonizar uno u otro canal y asi formar su opinion sobre los hechos.

con su cierre, y el quizas de otros que se ven en peligro de sufrir las mismas consecuencias, no solo se atenta con la libertad de expresion, tambien se esta creando un monopolio de los medios lo cual tengo entendido, segun las declaraciones del canciller de vzla ante la oea, fue uno de los "problemas" que se decidieron atacar con el cierre del canal.
