  • The stereotype out there is that black women are loud/obnixious and hard to get along with. I've met quite a few black women that meet that stereotype. Maybe if they were a bit more demure and have a feminine mindset they would be more accepted. Like queen Latifa is cute cause her personality is.

  • Brown skin?lmaoo..Thats dark black skin, not even darkskined thats jet black.

  • your not brown skin your dark skin to be brown skin you gotta be of a medium red bone complexion and to be light skin you gotta be of a light brow tanish yellow bone comlexion

  • OMGGG! Light skin this!/Dark skin that OHH come on! it's only a PIGMENT! for crying out loud! it doesn't make you less or more than another human simple. JEEZ *SIGH* SIGH*

  • @afrolatinadamien lol well that would be great if everyone sees it the way you do, but a lot of ppl dont unfortunately, therefore making this a historical issue among african descendents in the united states

  • i like your message, the whole light vs dark also applies to other nationalities too, Im puerto rican and have been told by cousins that I wasnt part of the family bc i wasnt as dark as her. Your message is universal, and beauty isnt defined by one thing, thanx

  • If you haven't read it already -you should...It may be the reason our black race is always so divided...just a thought. The Willie Lynch Letter(Google it)

  • actually all black people are brown skin. Black people just come in different hues of brown ranging from light to dark.

  • im not dark that don't mean i hate some chocolate= Lance Gross!!!

  • I am just the opposite. I am extremely light skinned and often get mistaken for being latin, mixed or something else. Now I am sure that the fact that I am light skinned indicates that I'm mixed with something, we all are but both my parents are black . Growing up I use to wish I was darker. I would get called all kinds of names and stay out in the sun and burn myself trying to be darker. The point is to love yourself for who you are b/c at the end of the day you can't change it.

  • Brown skin ppl r the most confused. I am brown skinned, but I lean toward darker skinned ppl bc light skin is just too idolized for my taste. I have seen so many dark brown ppl & brown pp that wanted to be light skinned that it started to become sicking to me, & that makes me mad because why would u be ashamed 2 have that beautiful skin color? I have met so many brown & dark skinned women that prayed to have a light skinned babies. It should concern r race that a lot of us have low self esteem.

  • i agree with scorpian.! Light skin ppl do stand out cuz their brighter. Its just that simple. i'm dark skin and i dn't really stand out when im hanging with a light person, ppls attention immediately is drawn to the light skin person. Ppl tend to be more scared of me as well cuz im so dark. It suxx. But i agree with kenya when about the dark girl walking by and the white women......we get treated like we're one of the guys but light ppl get treated w/ respect.

  • it doesn't matter for guys...being dark skin is NOT really as abhorred as it is with dark skin girls. When I look at commercials it seems like the guy can be as BLACK as ever but they always have to make sure the girl id light. Like McDonalds commercials for example. I think if you're a dark skinned and browned skinned girl you get more ridiculed than if u were a guy. My assumption is that dark skin may be more masculine hence the phrase "tall dark and handsome". And light skin is more feminine.

  • @kutieboo "tall dark and handsome" does not include black men. lol let me school you to death prejudice bitch. that phrase include, as its goes as follows italian men and south EUROPEAN MEN FROM SPAIN AND PORTUGAL. dark to white people is a tan. black men are considered "BLACK", of course that is "dark", but they label you as BLACK not TAN. lets more forward. "light skin is more feminine". i wonder if you evil people get delight in hurting girls. i just wonder. you make me sick. continued.

  • @kutieboo your phrase "light skin is more feminine" stinks of racism and self hate. are white men feminine? they will kill you. are arab men feminine, they will bury your ass in the ground and let ants eat your fucking head. your statement is expected because you are ghetto trash with no education worth mentioning. you are ignorant and want to justify your prejudice for an entire race of women through your ignorance. Dark skin is AFRICA AND BLACK CULTURE, light skin is WHITE PEOPLE AND AMERICA.

  • @kutieboo the black woman is dark skin sweety. she is lovely and EXOTIC. you dont have to like her, but nigger you will respect her. you are apart of the problem with black people. go tell your prejudice shit to the light skin people you love so much. BLACK women your dark skin is nothing to be ashamed of, in fact it is to be celebrated. who said dark skin doesnt stand out, when i walk in the room ALL EYES ARE ON ME, BECAUSE IM GORGEOUS. i was told that by MANY DIFFERENT RACES INCLUDING MY OWN.

  • @kutieboo people may not like black women, but dont forget yoUR prejudice. while you are degrading dark skin women claiming we are ALL UGLY, we more often than not have better bodies than light skin women and more african blood. we are black women and everyone else is OTHER. there is no such thing as a LIGHT SKIN BLACK MAN OR WOMAN. that is a WHITE SUPREMACIST TERM. look IT UP!! LOL oh and WHILE YOU ARE CLAIMING DARK SKIN IS SO DAMN UGLY, KEEP SUCKING THOSE BLACK ASS DICKS YOU LOVE SO MUCH. HA

  • @kutieboo talking about it doesnt matter for GUYS. you must be white. too. IF DARK SKIN WOMEN ARE UGLY, AND WOMEN ARE USUALLY WAY BETTER LOOKING THEN MEN, THEN DARK SKIN MEN ALL LOOK LIKE GUCCI MANE. UGLY AS FUCK WITH THIS CONFIDENCE FROM HELL, NOT HEAVEN. ahahahaahhah

  • All shades of human color are beautiful !

    Saludos from Machu Picchu Peru

  • The futher I listen the vid the more I love Kenya! Girl, I wish half as us blk people have this mindset. Gosh we are fucked up in the mind. Slavery has done so much!!

  • I really really really think Kenya is beautiful. Society esp blks have got it twisted!!!

  • Let's remember ya'll... In perspective, regardless of our "hue", to some "people", we are still just a bunch of "ni**ers.

My feeling is that we should stop focusing on such issues and re-train our brains to be nice to each other.

  • Black skin is the most beautiful skin on this planet. The darker - the better. The white man knows it. That's why he hates blacks so much. So FUCK ALL YALL DUMB BRAINWASHED slave mentality NIGAS who worship light skin which is a euphemism for worshiping white people. I'm tired of yall BRAINWASHED BASTARDS.

  • I love light skin, but I think to each his own.

  • lmao "get away from the street!"

  • thats sad i loooove dark skin guys always have but ive met men who hated thier skin color too y man?

  • i love that dark skin

  • I can't believe people even think like this. Some people have smoke waay too many blunts.

  • What planet are you living on? How can you not believe it?

  • Its a figure of speach fool

  • light skin ppl we are black too.

  • Actually Skorpio is lightskinned compared to Kenya. Light skin and Dark skin are terms use for comparison. I'm dark skinned compared to Vin Diesel but I'm lightskinned compared to Wesley Snipes.

  • Well yes complexion and "light" and "dark" are perceptions of the mind. There are some dark brown Sub-Saharan Africans that consider tribes like the Fulani and Igbo, Cushitic Africans and Mixed-Race Africans, who have yellowish brown skin ,so light they call them "white".

  • Colorism (esp. against women) existed in Africa, Arabia, West Asia, India, East Asia and SouthEast Asia even before any European contact. If you study colorism, you'll be shocked. Trust me, I was!

  • I want Kenya's number...lol

  • you guys converse well together. Have you thought about a talk show.

  • Did you know asian ppl (indian) bleached their skin too. There are some as dark as blk ppl

  • @Sweetpea21ful

That's true. It's funny how people associate darkness with blacks but there are other racial groups like that too. East Indians, Australian Aborigines, Melaneians, etc. Racial groups that people don't even know about,

  • Eaxctly. Sub-Saharan Africans are NOT the groups with various shades of brown and the color complexs that comes with it. South Asians (East Indians ... etc., Australian Aboringes, Melaneians, and also Arabs.

  • @DATRUTH2024

And Europeans are not the only people that are pale skinned, u have Orientals (Chinese, Japanese,Korean, etc) thaT are pale skinned but they're not classified as "white"

Another thing that gets to me is that everything in the U.S. is black and white. There are other racial groups in the U.S. and the world that we don't even know about it.

  • Exactly. People just mistake variations of phenotypes of humans for sub-races and there are no sub-races among homo sapiens sapiens. It's REALLY annoying b/c people like East Asians, South Asians, SouthEast Asians, Pacific Islanders, Cushitic Northeast Africans and Khosian Southern Africans completely crush the notion of race. Sadly most Americans are ignorant of these populations.

  • They are alot darker than Sub-Saharan Africans. Southern East Indians are the darkest people in the world, even more so than Sudanese Africans.

  • @ 2:10 plz go back to that mindset not putting any importance on anyone elses complexion or ur own just be who u r & love who ur! its just skin...why the fuck do ppl make such a big fucking deal out of it? the colour doesn't give it any special powers! th

  • No need to have complexion bb Kev' sister : you're truly beautiful. xo

  • Just when you think blacks have come so far we always think of dumb ass ways to take millions of steps backward. Light Skinned vs. Dark skinned come on people get smart. We should be embracing ourselves and loving one another....Kenya your the SHIT girl I love to see my fellow sistas loving themselves light and dark bcuz these days its rare. Black women are notorious for having low self esteem and Im glad to see that there are some of us that wake up and are proud of wat we see.Peace N Luv

  • I am dark skin black girl and I can feel for what Kenya is saying. I personally had a problem with being dark and was pick on for being dark. One time when I was in the 4th grade a light girl told me that it look like my mom throw me in a pan and fried me. I never took offence to it b/c I love my tone and my skin. I always found darker to be more beautiful. This issue eerks me. B/c I've seen dark skin women just as pretty or prettier than some light. I think I'm beautiful.

  • @54BrownEyez

My complexion is just like Snoop Dogg's..lol. But remember one thing "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

  • ok why africain american think african people are all dark this make me sad i m african girl from ivoiry cost and i'm light

  • its not just african americans. itsamerican whites as well. I was showing a picture of a former girlfriend of mine to my girlfriend, who's white. she REFUSED to believe that my ex-girlfriend from eritrea was african (with Italian blood). It wasn't until I explained to her that practically the entire continent of africa was colonized by whites, that she accepted that africa had lightskinned blacks.

  • Well Africans range in complexions from Yellow Brown to Dark Brown even without admixture. And also have different features and Hair types even without admixture. I have an Eritrean friend too and how they look confuses some African Diasoprans who are West African ancestry with bits of European and possibly other admixtures.

I hope you and your girlfreiend are happy.

  • Kenya you are beautiful and wise the mark of a true Nubian Queen.

  • I ment some of us were not raised to think about color and stuff but I do notice how black guys are you can look better then the really light girl and they will look at her more just because of her color.

  • I am brown and never thought I was ugly , had boyfriends of all skin tones, and get complimetns about my skin which has a glow by lots of people. Some of us were not raised or brainwashed.

  • an me like you being brownskin we never really got pick on b/c of are skin tone cuz we were in between but this issues has to stop among are black folks

  • when people say brown it means in the middle not light like rihanna and not dark like gabrielle union most brown skin people don't suffer from those light vs. dark issues

  • 97 percent of african are brown skin

  • @victorakay lmao WRONG, where do you even get your facts.. puh-leazeeeee lol

  • when the guy is talkin the video is ok but when ever the girl talking the video becomes pitch dark,

  • it seem like as she became more angry the video became even more dark

  • ok the girl was soo black that she actually made this video became dark at 15;02minute she actually made that guy became dark, i hope his not perminently dark

  • WOW! you asshole (victorkay) is on every video TALKING DOWN TO THE REAL BLACK PEOPLE. the actual african. the DARK SKIN IS THE AFRICAN AND THE BLACK CULTURE. thats for everyone who doesnt know. and this bastard is a mexican! they are extremely racist and be aware that they pretend to be BLACK!

  • love kenyaa!!!!

  • HOT DAMN i had to comment again, Kenya MUCH respect to you girl, you are the TRUTH!

  • i think you guys really deserve respect for being open and honest about experiences like yours that SO MANY of us go thur, it's crazy to think that even in 2009 some children and even adults go thru these same scarring problems, i truly do pray that ends eventually!

  • we are still slaves we sucome to everything the white man has laid ot for us the white man says that we were unnatractive cuz of our dark skin. our african features and our kinky hair so what do we do we wear waeves and perm insult anyone who is darker and gloryfy light skin its a self hate

  • y do u have a thmbs dumb ur absolutely rite! just goes to show how stupid most youtubers are! everyone human being has african ancestry! europeans, asians, austalian aborigines, native americans...we all come from the same place so y not embrace each other as one big happy human family with different features & appearances! accept each others differences...we all can't look the same! & we dont have to!

  • I think this guy wants light-skin men. You need some knowledge bro. I think dark-skin and light-skin are beautiful. Both dark-skin and light-skin is beautiful in my family. It has nothing to do with dark-skin or light-skin, its all about the way you carry yourself. Dark is beautiful!! Dont let anyone get you down. Dont compare yourself to a caveman.

  • Prov.-13:16- Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly. v:6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

  • Yeah, but i have to criticize UR point about how most of the women (light-skin) in the videos look, etc... I am sorry, but who wants to watch that TRASH to begin with ?!? If you really care about UR kids or your own sanity, you would not waste your time with that kind of evil brain-washing- why do you want to make those hatin', racist companies richer ? I love Kenya

  • love all the realness..go kenya

  • this video literally had me ballin ...crying my eyes out

  • Comment removed

  • im a dark skin female and im attracted to either yellow or dark no in between ....i love yellow boys in the summer and dark boys in the winter, but im startin to drift toward light skin boys cause dark skin boys tend to like light skin girls

  • kevin is dark skin its a very nice complexion but i dont consider that brown im lighter than him by like 3 shades and i consider myself brown skin then light skin would be like alicia keys. guess its diff 4 everyone

  • kenya reminds me of skorp's mom.

  • i have seen in a lot of cases that dark skin men dont want to to talk to dark skin women because of self-hate and they don't wanna have dark skin kids (not in every case but alot of the time)...i dated a guy who was extremely dark (i love chocolate men lol) and he had a complex because everybody else in his family was very fair and his mom would call him lil black boy but not call his sister lil black girl (she was fair skinned)

  • love the topic and love her she's divine

  • "The Darker The Berry, The Sweeter the Juice"

  • You see Kevin and Kenya... That tension exists between the "Black" (or otherwise labelled "African" people) and "Colored" people. Nw those are two different races and the latter dnt wana be called black or called brwn. I dnt thnkt Black South Africans have that compexion at all... actually then darkie is embraced over here... you guys are beautiful the way you are... Being dark has its onw biological goods.. you know

  • Being light skin is not all wat us as blacks make it seem. Buh lemme jus say every black is beautiful. Black ppl have to realize that we r da only race that come in so much of a variety from stacey dash to gabrielle union to beyonce. nyway when i was younger i was light skin nd i got teased so much ppl would call me light bright all kinda names it got so bad that i would be tryna tan like rlly cookin in da sun of course it didnt work maybe for 2 dayz buh datsit buh ive learned to luvda skin imin

  • I really enjoyed this, I'm light skinned myself...nice to hear another point of view. I also believe that it starts with ourselves, with not having rivalry within our own race as African Americans. like you all said LOVE THE SKIN YOU ARE IN!

  • I'm so glad that you and Kenya talked about this. Your sister is the truth. We are living in a world that is full of colorism. Light-skinned is cherish and perceived as more attractive. I luv my brown skin and I found dark skin to be extremely beautiful.

  • you are definitely speakin the truth...it ain't NOTHIN like chocolate!

  • dang iwas just the same way like this hit home 4 me cuz ireally found myself and starting respecting myself when i got in lik 10th grade

  • Thanks for your openness and honesty, Kevin and Kenya. I wish there was an easy solution to this ls/ds issue. Love the skin you're in.

  • Willie Lynch started this! mind control (slaves)

  • Ya went on some DEEP DEEP DEEP shit. And wish ya could have gotten deeper. If ppl knew their history, they would not be so ignorant. But our society is so misconstrued && controlld. Its almst destined 4 blacks 2 fail.&& b "nothin".but if more were educated lik this, we would be so much better as a People. It is insultin to our culture 4 ppl 2 say ignorant shit tht comes 2 mind. Ya keep talkn on important things.Imma mak a t-shirt line.(AwearNES).check soon.puttin yuh on...

  • You guys are wonderful. I would have to say its great to c young ppl in our generation to be so aware. =)

  • I was told when i was younger i was pretty cause i had a nice body my sis was pretty cause she light skin. I use to want to bleach but now i know all browns are beauitful.

  • the ugliest light skin ppl get by only cuz there are light skin ppl say if they was drak they would be ugly

  • light skinned people are definitely more accepted in media which is a part of the problem.

  • i have two sisters i'm in the middle my older sister is brown i'm dark my younger sister is light our mother didn't raise us to look at each others complexion as we got older other people start to show it just recently a boy said he wish he could take my personality and put it on my little sisters skin me and my sisters laughed about it because it was so dumb for him to say and insulting both of us.

  • So sad

  • Whether you are dark, light, brown or caramel a white person will still see you as. Some light skin men aren't attracted to light skin women the like brown or dark skin, I'm a dark skin woman but when i go out with my light skin friend i get alot of attention from light skin guys and she likes light skin guys alot but i'm nore attracted to brown or dark guys it's so weird, but now that I'm older i don't discriminate against our race i look at the person for there respect trust and pesonality

  • you guys are not brown skin you are dark skin

  • WE ARE NOT DARK SKIN DAMN IT

  • LOL,

I laugh because it is funny how people see and feel the need to describe what they think is light brown, and dark. I am a shade lighter than you guys and they tell me that I am brown skin. So that being the case I guess you guys are dark. And I would hate to know what they would describe a person that says they are darkskin as, I guess they would tell them are extra dark.

Really it's stupid to try an label a person by skin color. Only amongst the black folk is this done. Just sad

  • Kevin is brown skin

  • @theskorpionshow

Dark skinned or brown you 2 are both beautiful

  • @opinionthatmatters YOUR AN IDIOT DARK ISNT A COLOUR THEY ARE DARK BROWN BUT SO WHAT? BROWNS BROWN

  • lovely KENYA

  • Im confused! 1st of all great video and while I do agree with what Kenya is saying, I recall her saying that she wants butt implants in a previous video from a while back. How do you go from sayin' don't bleach your skin, don't wear weaves, love the skin you're in etc and then turn around and say you want butt implants. If that's not loving yourself and the accepting the way that God made you then I dont know what is.

  • Well as much as i hate the "light skin people gotta take a shower every day" comment i gotta say that it's true. When i was younger i use to pretend to take a bath like open the bath tap and let it run whilst i sat there 4 half an hour, But as soon as i got dressed my mamma would take my ass be back in the shower and scrub the dirt OFF. Afterward i'd be shinning like a brand new Mercedes Benz.. Anyways yes it's true, you can always tell when us light skin people don't have a bath.

  • Everyone of every color shold be taking a bath everyday.

You can see that a person is dirty if they are dark skin as well. However I do understand what you are saying.

  • I'm glad to see that not all young Black people are lost. I'm not an old head but older then you all.

At 16:08 not only does that apply to Black/Whites but especially Koreans. They want to be so "White" that they lose sight of any other race.

Preach on towards the end sista!

  • great view.. i never thought about skin color... i like all color types....

  • KEV THIS VIDEO IS BLURRY

  • PREACH!!

  • great vid, i love ur sister you need to have her on all the time. i completely agree with Kenya.

  • this same thing happens in most other cultures that have field workers vs house workers Asia esp

  • Im from the UK and its the same over here, light skinned girls are always viewed as better looking, dark skinned girls get your your good looking for a dark skinned girl. Or I dont normally like dark girls but you are nice. What is funny though is white people over here arent bothered by brown, dark or light and are shocked when they find out black people have issues with it.

  • Lol im from the uk..

    and yes im white..

and like u said i dont understand why people think light skin girls are prettier..

i know loads of beautiful black girls :)

  • BROWN SKIN POPPIN ! lmao

  • No don't be encouraging people to not take showers.

  • im glad to see kenya bak too!

  • Great video!, I definitely agree with Kenya

  • I tried to post a comment yesterday and it didn't post at all, so this is a test

  • I love when you have her on the show. I love both Makael and Kenya...they are GREAT co-hosts.

  • Light skin or dark skin, black is beautiful. Fuck the ignorance.

  • i agree

  • wow. skorp u really pulled sum anger out of ur skorpies, just lookn @ all the long comments! good video

  • Im not trying to be rude, but does this happen in America a lot? Cuz here in the UK, ppl aren't really that racist or in the area I love in anyway.

Im African, but I got light skinned, but in my family there are a coupla of dark-skinned ppl. And they never experienced this.

  • its true, america is not without its racial problems. while things i think are getting better, there is still racism along with sexism, its just not as obvious as it once was. one thing that still is really obvious is homophobia. but anyways, to answer your question, there is still a bit of a preference for light skinned people, although i really dont know why. its the case to some degree even within certain ethnic communities too not just between other races.

  • I cant speak about any other countries but im from California, and that is like the #1 state that has the less racist. But in america if you are dark skin then your not really considered pretty. The most ridiculous thing is that a lot of black hate brown skin. They make fun of it, they say its ugly. They call it burnt and just make stupid jokes.

  • I never realised this was such an issue and ppl suffered from this! Wow, that makes me real mad!!

Hope this situations gets better, cuz its just crazy!!!

  • i am light skinned and i notice alot of my darkskin friends always pull the card on me, if a guy hits on me they always say "its coz ur light skin" alot of dark skin people are envious of lighter people and thats true.. not all but alot.

  • I'm light skinned an i dont think light skinned ppl are more accepted. bcuz ppl outside of our race dont see ligh n dark, they just see black, point blank. And growing up i had to deal with being called white girl, snow white, salt, milk. Anything white u could think of and i hated it. I used to always come home upset bcuz of ppl calling tm those names, or aying that me and my mother was white. and we both are straight up 100% black

  • w/e u self hating bitch! Like i said i dont have to act, u r the one acting. Bcuz any REAL black person wouldn't have to hate on their own race after all this shit we been through!! U prob not even black, u prob some white person posing as a black person, or a latino or something. I'm done with ur ass!! I'm not wasting any more of my time on a dumb mother fucker like u. i dont need ur approval, i am who i am, so get over it bitch!!

    Thanks!! Have a nice day!!

  • Hahaha who wants to be light skinned?? Umm yea i wanna be ligh skin soooooooooooooo bad. Haha baby girl aint nobody wanna be a poser. But you lol

  • i agree100% with kenya.....

kenya is such a beautiful person inside

  • Luckily I didn't have color complex issues as a dark skinned female, I guess thanks to my mama. But growing up I saw favoritism of light skinned people (particularly the females) going on in the media and peers, and the sad thing is nothing has really changed since then. Slave masters really did a lot of deep rooted damage, but skin color can become less of an issue if parents of this generation start teaching them that mentality is wrong. Oh and Kenya comments were great, very good points.

  • agreed!

all you gotta do is love yourself, no matter your complexion or race..if you do, then none of the other bullshit will phase you..

we gotta grow up and cut the ignorance, and treat each other with respect..

  • My daughter and I LOVE your show and I tried to explain to her that many african americans suffer from this type of thinking unfortunately and her response was what difference does it make if you are dark or light, it shouldn't matter and she is 8 years old!!! How come she gets it and there are grown folks out there who do not understand I try to instill this in her that it is not important especially since she has very light complexion and I am dark brown We come in ALL shades people embrace it

  • I love your sister! Kenyah...I have a younger sister with the same name and I hope she grows up with the same strength and wisdom you do! Wish you all the best in your future hun!!

  • people need to teach their kids..light, dark, and brown..is beautiful, no matter what..god makes no mistakes

it's sad that "lighter is better" is the mentality, but that shit stems from slavery days..im mixed, and lighter than the usual brown mixed person..and i feel like if you love ya self, then it;s all good..the complexion of someone's skin doesn't determine how beautiful someone is and like kenya said, we need to stop labeling each other black is beautiful wether, you dark, light or brown

  • I think black males are more accepted! Women now a-days want those "dark skinned brother's", "tall, DARK, and handsome" hence the dark ...but anyway I don't know what it is but females haven't quite accepted it yet or rather society hasn't accepted it yet.

  • Kenya...how bout when u a big girl and always get the comment, "you got a cute FACE" when they could just say your cute or you pretty for a big girl, lol. woooow!!!

  • I'm not dark, but I remember being in elementary school and having darker friends who would put bleach in their bath water to try to lighten their skin. I think now adays darker skinned people have become more confident, but I still see even in the young kids, they adore the lighter kids more than the darker ones.

  • omg i love kenya!

  • Kenya is telling the truth about how some black men approach black women vs. the way the approach white women. smh.

  • so true...we come from Kings and Queens. So many black people have forgotten that. We are from the richest continent...love the skin that your in..lol

  • well I can relate to all trust If I am in the sun long enuff I get darker and if I stay in the house to long a total of 3 days i'll be as pale as can be. I even turn red when I laugh hard so I am considered two-toned

  • That bath comment was unacceptable

  • im indian i just wanted to say that our culture and society also has this mindset, that light skinned ppl are more beautiful. when you watch indian movies, most of the successful indian actresses are light skinned and put in colored contacts, to look more white. I feel that everyone can be beautiful.

  • I grew up with spanish people and whites and i never payed attention to my complexion. i embraced my complexion and loved that i was diffrent. but when i started dating my complexion became a issue for me. not until recently i noticed that the men i was dating was insucure with themselves and it wasnt me. you see in the videos and in songs , movies . do u guys think if beyonce was brown skin she would be as popular ?

  • wow, great topic. i love this video, kenya betta speak that truth!

  • Kenya aint never lied bout the way brothers approach Black "Women" vs White "girls"

  • Kevin Brown skin is gorgeous and WA2 was the best looking guy in the room. Dont you know Black women love Dark skin and Brown skin brothers

  • yep i do!

  • this was an awesome topic! i think it is TOTALLY ignorant when someone says "you're cute for a dark-skinned girl" you don't know how bad that urks me.

i remember at work an older lady told me i was high yellow & that i'm not as dark as the girl sitting next to me. i just looked at her like she was strange.

first of all i'm not high yellow, i'm brown skin. BUT WHAT THE FUCK DOES IT MATTER? It doesn't. And that's the said part because so many people don't realize it.

  • lmao that sun is setting.... I LOVE MY CHOCOLATE TOO :) my whole family is light skin so im not exactly favored but im me so i dont care.

  • Yeah I should just accept my skin color

  • This happens to me alot although i'm lightskin they always ask what i'm mixed with but i'm not mixed with anything and sometimes it gets on my nerves but i try not to let it bother me. Love you guys

  • little sista was speakin the truth!

  • I really enjoyed this video.

  • We should be proud of our color! African-Americans have been brainwashed since slavery times to believe that it was bad, and its NOT, God made us the way he wanted us to look, and obviously he liked it so why should anyone on this earths opinon matter?

  • Great topic... Your sister is the truth! Brown is beautiful =)
