La chitarra di Mark e' una Fender.....ha sempre usato quelle.Il suo grande amico

Eric "Slow Hand" Clapton (altro grandissimo ,per me) in contrapposizione, suona solo con una Gibson.Se ci fate caso,anche i suoni sono diversi.

Naturalmente entrambi,hanno avuto chitarre personalizzate,una pratica molto diffusa tra i chitarristi...un po' come farsi fare le scarpe su misura.Il suono della Fender di Mark rimane inconfondibile,come pure la Gibson di Clapton.

la cosa incredibile è che Mark Knopfler quando fa i suoi stupendi assoli di chitarra sembra che metta lo stesso impegno con cui io mi allaccio le scarpe...la piccola differenza è che però lui produce cose magnifiche mentre io posso solo "sbavare" al suo cospetto!

For me, when Knopfler went from Fender to Gibson, something changed. Of course, he plays any guitar damn good, but some of the feel and the really smooth playing dissappeared. But, if he prefers it, then who am I to judge? He'll still be the best guitartist to ever walk the earth.

@bonnyguitar sembra la Schecter che ha usato sopratutto dalla metà alla fine anni '80 dopo aver utilizzato come principale elettrica la Fender Stratocaster. Ora sembra essere passato alla Les Paul anche se in realtà utilizza molte più chitarre, e la stessa Schecter è stata rispolverata anche qualche anno fa anche in live.

The Guitar he's using is a carved top Pensa made by Suhr. The guy below me who said Fender dominate on everything clearly hasn't seen or played a Suhr before. They are superior in every way, hence the really expensive price.
