btw once you cleared the hunger its best to use ur demon scythe skill next to the wall and just aim them at 11 o clock(or 1 o clock depends what side ur wall comes from) since u hit all possible scythe hits

The WoF was actually the easiest boss for me. And I'm pretty terrible. I beat it my first time with meteorite armor, and the demon scythe weapon and a few mana potions and that was about all I needed. He was dead within less than a minute and I didn't even need any health potions.

When I fought the WoF, I found that the easiest method was to use Spiky Balls.

They're extremely easy to obtain or purchase, and I only needed about 250~

I simply spammed the spiky balls down on the platform, killing the hungry when they flew into the centre, and always hitting the middle eye/mouth thingy afterwards~

(Also, if the middle mouth tries to summon any leeches, they automatically die since they fly out onto a platform of spiky balls.)

Just get a spear (ANY spear) and one or two gravitation potions (depending on the quality of said spear), and bam! The WoF is now on farm mode; no molten armour needed. But then again, why would you want to enter hardmode before having "beaten" normal Terraria, anyhow?

And I only say that because one really shouldn't be tackling this boss before they actually know how to play the game since its defeat enables hardmode, but the thing is: if you already knew how to play the game, you shouldn't need a guide to help you defeat WoF in the first place. It's like a cruel, noob-baiting circle, that is.

I used full Jungle armor and alternated between demon scythe and phoenix blaster (with meteor shot) and as for accessories, I just needed Rocket Boots and Hermes Shoes and I don't really remember what else I used. No buffs necessary.

@yehoshua2123 FYI: the rocket boots have been nerfed to1.6 seconds of flight. if you have the goblin tinkerer and bought the tinkers table you can combine hermes shoes with rocket boots to make specter boots and they give you more yet still kinda small flight time.

My tactic was get another person. Me and my friend killed it our first try, he had a Minishark and I had a Handgun. Our armour was pretty poor, but we kept our distance and my friend done more damage than me so the lasers and hungry where attacking him. We didn't use any buffs, we made a bridge and the leechers it sent out weren't doing much damage. We used about 10 potions each.

I had 46 defense at the time I defeated the wall of flesh, and I still had a hard time with the mobs.

I used the bridge too however i did not have alot of manna to use the demon syth alot and i have a pet peave with manna potions how to fill that gap? GERNADES as long as you keep a safe didtance from you and the wall of flesh and spam the grnades it will easly take out the hungry but there is also a risk of a leach blocking the gernade and damageing you so be carful if you wish to choose my tactic

If you don't want to bother with building the bridge, a water walk potion and rocket boots help as well. You just have to make sure to always have enough space.
